As a paramedic, I carry a Swiss Champ on my belt, and it came in handy on my shift today, in fact, to unscrew a stair handrail to enable us to carry an unconscious patient down the stairs. I wouldn't be without it. I even used it to meand an ambulance once. Vital piece of kit. Mine's also in black. 😊👍

Mine is super helpful, too. I often put it in my rotation and carry it on my belt when I'm in town running errands. However, I carry a Leatherman when at work due to the pliers.

I have the Swiss Champ (also in black) for about 6 or 7 years now. And it always goes with me on my travels. And it came in handy more times than I can remember. My wife used to make jokes Calling me MacGyver. Until I used it to remove a splinter from her finger and opened a can in our hotelroom. Now she has 3 of them herself.

I went for the classic ol' red... My model also had a wood saw near the nail file... Helped me when the seatbelt got stuck when a bike crashed into the side of my car. A totally awesome package and well worth the spend. This incident made me realise that all my family members should carry one sak as a helping hand during any emergency. Got my mom a Huntsman Lite as she loved the translucent red color!

I too have a Swisschamp in black, and it's in my pocket today. I find it sits nice & snugly in the watch pocket of my jeans so I don't notice it. I tend to carry it on days off work when not doing anything in particular. If I'm working or on some other activity I tend to have a more ''mission specific'' EDC with things like Knipex Cobra, a bit driver and bits, but always with a SAK for the scissors, even if it's a small one and I'm carrying a folder for my main blade.

Have 3 Swiss Champs, one (red) has been with me 30 years and is in good condition and has required only minor maintenance through its life. Have silver Champ that oddly does not have the pen. Bought a black one in the last few years that will replace the red one in time. I have used every tool over the years and find it invaluable.

Nice overview, thank you for the video. The Swiss Champ is the king of 91mm Victorinox knives. It has a permanent place in my EDC pouch, which then goes into either a sling bag or my backpack. It's nice to have such a compact toolchest with you. You sadly skipped over the wood saw when going through the layers.

Have got one in red, bought in 2007, which is still in as perfect condition as the day it was bought. Just bought a new one (don't know why), with the transparent blue scales, 'cos I couldn't help myself! There are tons of videos of people who say they bought the climber because it has this blade, or that blade, or the huntsman, or the compact, the handyman, or the deluxe Tinker, etc, etc, the list is endless....but there is really only one perfect choice - the champ.
