The improvised sewing needle has to be one of the most practical uses I've ever seen for the toothpick, especially for SAK models that don't have the eye on the awl/reamer. When it comes time to replace the handle scales on my 111mm Swiss Soldier's knife, I'll probably use the standard nylon scales so I can add a modified toothpick and the tweezers to it. Thank you again, Felix!
As an electronics tech, these tiny pliers are much more handy than I expected when I first saw how small they were. They're very handy for holding things to solder or bending component legs. One of the best unexpected uses for them is as tweezers, both for grooming and splinter removal.
I was 8 years old when I received my first Victorinox as a christmas gift. I put it through some serious abuse being a kid, but absolutely loved it and wouldn't be without it. At 21 I purchased the angling edition and I still have it to this day. It's been used on so many projects and repairs (and fishing trips) that I've lost count. Last Christmas in my 43rd year, my wife bought me a Champ, and I'm still learning all about the different functions. The pliers were a major feature for me - I use them regularly for everyday repairs including jewellery. The crimpers are a fantastic edition for fishing and making rigs, especially sea fishing when crimps are needed to secure tough rigs. Thanks to this video, I only just learned about the wire cutter feature at the base of the plier opening. Stay safe and well Felix, I loved this and many other of your videos!

What the Victorinox SAK pliers lack in size, they make up for in dexterity. I love that they're sprung and you get excellent control with the large SAK body to grip and thumb operation. Much better for many tasks than larger unsprung pliers, in my opinion.

the pliers is the my fav tool in a SAK, I love the way it looks, design and its uses. the tip has knurling that helps grip small things very well. The older version had no knurling at the tip, its a good thing if you are gripping material that you dont want to mark too much. Also the older plier version was thinner. The newer one is thicker and better. I want a SAK with just this pliers and I will be happy! Currently have the SAK champ that has the thinner version and the cyber tool that has the modern equivalent. SAK in general I have loved ever since I laid my eyes on one!

Indeed, those little pliers are like finger tip extenders. I find many uses for them. They are not competing with multitool pliers. And yes, the little pliers is fantastic for splinter removal. Great ideas! How about for car fuses and other small engine repair?
The pliers of my swisschamp saved my day many times, also I use it a lot when I go fishing for the uses You show in the video. Also I use the pliers to remove my nose hairs. Thank you Felix.
Ouch! The best tool for nose hair grooming is the scissors on the classic. Throw one on your key ring so it’s always with you.
Thanks a lot for your positive feedback!
Good choice!
Spectacular job Brother thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise and hello from Detroit Michigan USA brother 👋👋
Judging by the listing on Amazon, the least expensive Victorinox with pliars is the Tinker at about $42. Next is the Evolution S52 at $54.59 and the Handyman at $58.73.
I prefer the pliers over the wine bottle opener
It’s the Deluxe Tinker my EDC
I bought this 33 functions victorinox it is fantastic 👌
Thanks a lot Kate!

Відео цікаве та зрозуміле .
Дякую Фелікс .
Indeed, those little pliers are like finger tip extenders. I find many uses for them. They are not competing with multitool pliers.
And yes, the little pliers is fantastic for splinter removal. If I need a bigger pliers I have a 23 year old SwissTool which is still in great shape.
Always enjoyable videos! Thanks.
Thanks for your Interesting Feedback..
Thank you so much for this. So many tips in a short video.
Hello, Felix - great video! This is a great resource(as are all your videos), so I can better use the pliers in particular and SAKs in general...you make the subject matter fun and interesting...thanks!!
I’ve always liked the pliers, just wish they had them on a simple knife for camping. Something like large & small blades, can opener & bottle open, wood saw, pliers. They would be perfect for adjusting the simmer ring on the Trangia & grabbing a small hot pot.
@alf3553 the Victorinox Handyman has the features you mentioned plus a file and scissors.

I have looked at a few of the different models. Love my SAK’s . I picked up 5 camper knives that I found on sale for less then half price, some for me & Christmas present’s.
Thanks a lot for your interesting feedback…
I have a Wenger Buck which has all these except the saw!
Handyman
Nice uses for the SAK, one of the earliest made multi-tool.
4.22 as an Austrian (Victorinox-Fan of course ;-) ), I must realy grin and smile at your "Sausage fingers"...😋😉
Hey in here just 3hrs since the video got uploaded. Love this program and you.
Very nice explanations!
The pliers are great for taking out those super tight knots
It can also be used to reach in between two objects that our sausage fingers can't . For example, After making that fish hook, I dropped it in the crack on the granite surface I was using for my work surface. Thanks, as always for your work and thoughts. Be Well and Good Journey Richie
Thanks a lot Richi..
I make jewelry and I have found that for the type of jewelry I make these are the perfect combination of bending and cutting
You are just so knowledgable! 😎👍
For me those pliers have saved the day many times at the office for repairing staplers or removing that pesky piece of paper that stays stuck in the printer or the copy machine.
Of course I use them also like Felix shows especially for fishing.
Felix be droppn that BASS beat on his video :) great suggestions and tips as always.
Felix thank you for sharing this one with us you are the Swiss champ🏆😊👍
Haa ha haa, thank you!
