I got one of those of course mine‘s not as beautiful as that but it’s still pretty yeah I found mine on eBay and I got it like I don’t know how many years ago, but I got $25. I wanna say I’d have to go back and look, but I know it wasn’t no more than 26 with shipping includedand I love it but yours is a lot better looking a lot nicer. Thank you Matt. Do you think Rosecraft will release a Hawkbill like Case ? .Its my favourite blade pattern but Case leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to quality and their stainless is soft .Id love to see Rosecraft do a version .

Thanks for the video. I have one of these I got for Christmas in the 90’s. I hadn’t seen it in 20 years and just found it in a box. I vaguely remembered it was an electrician but it wasn’t until I saw your video that I could confirm the model. Makes sense because my parents used to get stocking stuffers at Radio Shack back then. Mine is in the same condition as yours and is a perfect size.

Don't like it. I've gone off any slip joints that don't have a safety choil.

I got one today it's a mess both sides of the blade look like they belong to 2 different knives the scales don't meet the bolsters the swedge line below the tang stamp is far higher on one side of the blade the edge was covered in black wire hair completely blunt but took only few mins too sharpen , although like you say less than £40

Just got one today it's not in as good condition as your one not even close you can say what do you expect for under £40 my ones a bit of a mess

Victorinox UK have the Compact for £47 at the moment. It used to be £51.

Great choices there. I have the Compact, Climber with the Switzerland Place To Be scales BD the New York Companion. The Compact is what I carry most often. I do like the Pioneer X Alox, I have the standard Alox, Thunder Grey and I just ordered the Electric Yellow Limited Edition.

I wish there were more 84mm SAKs. When I heard the Tinker Small was discontinued, I grabbed a couple. Truly the best size for that knife and the first on MacGyver.

Looks like the remaining 84mm models are on the way out also ? One problem with this type of bail is replacement of the scales!

Am I seeing things here or you can see an image between the faces. Like the holy grail or the Stanley cup on a pedestal. The cup between the forefront. The base between the mouths and the pedestal between the necks and shoulders.

Everytime you push the blade with your fingers on the cutting edge it reminds me how I've cut my thumb doing that on the awl of a Pioneer. Just saying 😅

the large blade for me is the best paring knife (peeling parsnips and potatoes) and the small blade is great as a pencil sharpener.

Now that's what I'm talking about.
