Thank you been looking for a Dantain silk reeling routine as my older routine from living legends of China are wore out. A good routine for this 88 year old body. Now off to a little indoor cycling and indoor rowing and will finish up with a short 20 minute Taichi or Kikong session. Thanks for your gift will return to it often.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 better than stars

I like to do these exercises in the evening before going to bed. it helps me fall asleep more easily
Just wanted to add your instruction are wonderful and you are one of the few instructors for any exercise that give the proper hand and leg movement for a facing the camera using the the left hand for the students right hand. Thank you for learning your craft correctly. Namaste 🙏

This is lovely, I felt so relaxed after massaging the Dan tien. thank you.
So very lovely. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing this. Such a delightful practice. Although most of the movements were already familiar to me already it is the way you practice and instruct that made these movements "click" somehow.

Thank you so much Karen for this wonderful teaching. As I do the monkey grabbing fruit I think of yogi trying to control mind at point Bindu of aJana chakra dristhi flowing thought stopping attachment to knotted mental obstacles and problems directly in front releasing healing the kundalini energy climbing upward to over watching name of God YHWH presence like up Jacob’s ladder to cross of Jesus in heaven and then back down to earth healed. Thank you.
Awsome to find you
Very informative knowledgeable, grateful for the wisdom and the smile
@@leahmoody2174 Enjoy your practice!
I do those first two exercises. The knees should go in and out slightly with the elbows - it connects the whole facia, much like the old Chinese finger cuffs
Thank you , very nice .☮️🌈🦋
Hi, Karen. This is a lovely, comforting practice. Thank you so much! I notice you use a Shao Gong closing on all of your videos. I like this movement very much and would love to better understand its meaning. Would you be able to share that? Again, thank you!
Simply speaking, Shao Gong means to gather all the Qi cultivated and store in the Dan Tien. It is a wonderful centering and balancing movement.
@@karensoo88 Thanks, Karen - that is exactly how it makes me feel!
Hi Karen, thank you so much for this video. It’s very different and I practiced it more than a few times. It helps with my constipation.
Can you put out another autumn video this year?❤
Clearly these movements are from Feng Zhiqiang’s HunYuan Taiji/Qigong system as first taught in the US (trees clearly indicate California) by Zhang Xue Xin. It is always important to acknowledge one’s teachers and system.
These trees are in beautiful Lineover Wood in the Cotswolds, England. This set of Coiling Silk movements were learned from Lao Sr Ken Cohen as written in the description accompanying this video.
woohoo, let's reel some silk 😍
where's this been??!
❤
I miss a little bit more rooting
DO YOU PRACTICE MORE SILK REELING EXERCISES? CHEERS
Is that exercises for Chen Tai chi or Yang Tai chi ?
This is Qigong and very good to do before practising Tai Chi.
