This is one I return to often. Love everything about it: perfect length for the morning, the quiet and birdsong, and it flow so well and is easy to follow. Than you from the bottom of my heart, Karen!
Thank you for this lovely routine with no music, just lovely birdsong and the whinnying of the horse at the end. I have not been doing this daily routine for a few months now due to mental health issues (longstanding) but this morning I said Yes I am going to have another try. It all came back to me (muscle memory) and I feel happy. I hope to continue with this daily. It helped so much before. Thanks Karen.
Thank you Karen I like your presentation of this form. I trained as a Qi Gong teacher with the Shiatsu College of the UK. For this Shibashi form I have been influenced by Sifu Whin Cheung as well and your style is very similar. I will be sharing it within some classes I run in Bristol for U3A and Wellspring Settlement in Barton Hill. I liked the fact that there was no musical background as well. Usually the music selected for such videos is rather sentimental and distracting. Nice to see the Cotswold landscape also!
Thanks, Karen. This is my 'go to' Qigong routine, and it rejuvenates all my aching muscles. A great routine, and I love the pace and pure presentation with just bird calls. :-)
Love the stillness in the flow..I know I will have to watch this many many times before I can get it right. So many moving parts as well as balance and breathing. At 69years old, I am only beginning to discover Qigong. I seek this way for my health...
Thank you Karen for these lovely qigong videos & making them free for all. I have shared your website with the local Eastbourne qigong group I attend. Love & Light Helen
Thank you 🙏🏻. I recently attended a Reiki training workshop and the Reiki master taught us Qi Gong and gave us this link. I’m so grateful to learn this beautiful practice. It’s so nourishing.
Thank you Karen! It's a lovely routine morning or evening. I have only found the benefit wheh I started doing it in a sequence, rather than pick and mix. Still learning☺️
Best person for stances and moving from the centre on youtube for 18 stances... "Maybe" more staying gently in centre line and sinking into back leg on scooping sea / sky... and knee and hand connected as one on raising the ball ... But very nice ✨🌸✨
Thanks very much for the video. I'm very familiar with the majority of the movements from the Yang style and qigong I study, but it was really nice to see them put together in this way..........I'm now going to try and learn it and show some of my classmates!
The 'simplicity' of the movements, the sounds of the world around you, the setting. They all come together so beautifully. For no apparent reason I haven't been doing this wonderful session but that will be changing. And I will be seeking the other 2 sets as well. I do wonder if there is a 'set' number of repetitions ? I seem to want to continue each one forever.... Thank you again, Karen. From Vancouver Island on the west coast of Canada.
Only recently discovered this lovely sequence of movements. It’s so nice that it only has the bird song in the background and flows so beautifully. I have a question though when the arms cross does it matter whether the right or the left hand or arm is in front of the other?
Do what feels comfortable for you. Traditionally when the hands are on the Dantien, women put the left hand over the right and men do vice versa. Enjoy your practice!
This is an excellent instructional video, thank you for doing this. I use I'd every day, even though I know the form it is always beneficial to do it with another! Have you considered doing set number two in the same manner? It would be so helpful Thanks again
Just discovered your videos and love them. Can’t wait for more. Set 2? Did you train with Ken Cohen? I see you mentioned him in your bone marrow cleansing video. Thanks for sharing
Thank you for your comment. I have been blessed to have attended several of Ken Cohen's workshops and consider his book "The Way of Qigong" as essential Qigong reading.
Thank you for giving us this great instruction, Karen. Very much appreciated. I've been following daily for months now, and it's been a great help for me. Recently ads are playing in the middle of the set, however. Is there anyway to put them only at the beginning and end?
I love doing shibashi, the only problem is my hands do not look as relaxed and graceful, and my fingers move around. How can I make my hands and fingers stay calm?

Thanks Karen.
It looks like Martial arts exercise, it is good for the whole body
Parfait !!!!!😊
Thanks for the great video!
Will the Shao Gong hand placement be different for men and women? Thanks
Traditionally women put the R hand on Dan Tien with L hand on top and men do the opposite.

I want to thank you again for sharing such a excellent video, and for helping to teach me, is there any chance we will see a shibashi set 2 video?
Thank you for your comment. It's a possibility.. : )

Thank you ❤
Very nice .

"Repetition is the mother of mastery" - Tony Robbins. Keep relaxing
should one be dian tian breathing while doing these movements?
If you are familiar with Dan Tien breathing, then yes : )
@@karensoo88 I see; thanks very much.

Why is it called tai chi? Tai chi is based on the 37 qi gong. Now you are walking backwards.
