    I was hoping you would offer set II…Deeply appreciate the absence of hurry…Lovely conclusion…Thank you

      I have found it helpful -at times- to add a short pairing of words with the in and out breaths of each movement…which carries the benefit of further grounding awareness in the body…as well as to define…thoughtlessly/effortlessly…the number of repetitions desired…Opening/the Heart…Inviting/Stillness…Welcoming/Ease …Trusting/Awareness…Deepening Peace…So this pattern would offer 5 repetitions…One could work with as few or many forms as seems appropriate to the purposes at hand…

    This is an most wonderful, peaceful and beautiful practice. I look forward to re-doing the session many times to feel the flow properly. From the sound of the crunch of snow, it was cold where you are. I suspect that the flow of your qi kept you warm. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and expertise with us.

      Thanks Karen. That doesn’t look like England! I live in Vermont USA (snow county) and we don’t have that much snow. But I wanted to thank you for posting this. I do your shibashi set 1 and coiling Silk a couple of times a week and have been looking for set 2. I’ve watched and will try but it looks like it will be tough for my old knees. I would love to attend one of your classes in person but we have this little problem of an ocean in the way. Long way round to say love the way you teach and thanks for posting.

    Such a beautiful set ❤. However it was difficult to see the hand postures due to the black gloves. I really hope you consider doing another video of this. It’s very nice 🙏🏽

    Hi, thank you very much for the wonderful practice, I enjoyed doing it with you. I often include your silk reeling session in my daily routine and bone marrow cleansing as well. Thanks a lot. Happy new year and stay safe! L. (67)

    Promising routine. Thank you for sharing this set of moves. Two unfortunate things stopping me from getting most out of this class: one, the black gloves made me guess too frequently how to follow. Two, the advertisements severely disrupted the experience for me. I do understand that the advertisements are there for revenue, but can’t they just be at beforehand? Thank you again for sharing this practice.

    This set makes me feel really ungrounded. Any one else feel that?

    • @karensoo88
      @karensoo88  Год назад +1

      If you are familiar with Set 1 this set feels very different. It may help you to imagine roots growing into the ground, downwards and outwards. Also feel your energy continuing into the earth as you move rather than stopping at the surface of the ground. Keep going, gently, gently.

    A beautiful practice! Perhaps next time you film it, avoid wearing an all-black outfit because at certain movements it was impossible to discern how you held your hands. thank you!

    Thank you Karen, do you have any suggestions for immortal pointing the way for someone who's nice don't bend so well anymore?

    • @karensoo88
      @karensoo88  Год назад

      Do what you can, perhaps place the foot behind and just a small dip down or even no bending at all to begin with. With patient and persistent practise (without overdoing, always respect your body's limits) this will improve.

      Almost - 2 exercises have been slightly adapted towards Professor Lin Housheng's version.

    Hi, can I ask if you "invented" this Set 2, or if they are part of a different traditional set? Thanks.

    • @7daveslater
      @7daveslater Год назад +3

      Set 2 is is the second of the 8 set Shibashi qiqong forms; you could say they get progressively harder in inner and outer energy work and postures. You learn as you go:) Karen Soo is one of the best to illustrate the correct way to practice these forms.

    • @karensoo88
      @karensoo88  Год назад +2

      Professor Lin Housheng is the originator of these Shibashi sets

  • @茶昆布-u2w

    I go on using these gestures sets but I don't follow Lin Housheng ideas. These gestures were existing before he put them on different sets. A long time ago a doctor helped me to learn qi-gong. It was not to earn maoney, just to help people. This nowaday qi-gong practice is too much a question of money.
