i have a hard time having favorites they are all so good. the weakest one if i had to choose would probly be Aqua-batman and Bat-lanthern, the lanther one is becouse killing of all lanthers instantly and also all gaurdians except 1 who he killed 2 seconds later.. its like either they are underselling the green lanthern corps or overselling bat-lanthern, atleast it feels that way juding how powerful lantherns are said to be.

He probably suspected something immediately after killing the Joker. Its more that after he figured out what was happening, he decided not to stop it.
If you read the interview when the details of their origins was given out before the release of the origins, it was said that Batman liked the new transformation. Thus he never bothered.

If Batman didn't have to hold back he would destroy everyone and everything, this was perfect. All of these evil Batman tie ins were good but they saved the best for last! This entire event hasn't had a bad issue in it. Really hope they find a way to keep Batman Who Laughs.

seems like unless batman or someone else knows beforehand what happens, it IS a bad idea for them to kill joker. even if they weren't in the immediate vicinity, the gas would probably just reach some other guy elsewhere. if they do know ahead though, they could probably kill joker in a sealed space to hold the gas.
Whether it's Batman or not, try to kill the Joker, something else saves him. Kill the joker, everything is done for the worse. Trust me main canon and alternate stories like these are filled with this.

WreckChasingStudios TV marvel zombies, any of the kills the marvel universe series, punisher MAX stories, even mainline canon stories can get pretty fucked up. For all its grit and seriousness, DC usually doesn’t get ultra violent or dark usually like this story just did. But usually when they do, they do it right.

Genius. I love this comic. It's so unique and dark while being a realistic possibility to Batman's history with the Joker. The poisoned kids becoming his lackeys, killing his family because they would notice a change, the brutal deaths of Superman and his family; it's just all so good! I REALLY love his design and I'm dying to know who he has bound up in the last panels. I'm thinking Dick since in his death panel he was shot in the belly while the others were in the face and head. Can't wait for more!

best parts of two interesting and complex characters, the joker and batman live in him. not to mention i was always curious what a jokerised batman would be like. not to mention in power terms he destroyed his entire world for a laugh
I disagree. There was barely any internal conflict within Batman once infected, it was more of a straight leap to madness rather than a descent, which would have been better. Also, not even the more interesting attributes of the Joker are present, just the over-the-top violence and stuff.
Something cool I noticed was that most of the dark Knights universes have some significance to the main dc multiverse. For instance.
Earth-1, The Devastator: His positive world being Earth 1 is the Earth where the Earth one story lines took place and if I'm correct where silver age took place before.
Earth -11, The Drowned: In this positive Earth counter part the heroes are gender swapped.
Earth-44 ,The Murder Machine: On the normal Earth 44 the heroes are robots.
Earth-32, The dawnbreaker: The heroes on Earth 32 are combined, for instance super man with martian manhunter and batman with green lantern.
Earth-12, The Merciless: Earth 12 is the dcau.
Earth-22, The Batman who laughed: Earth 22 is the kingdom come Earth.
The only one who has no real significance is The red Death with Earth-52, the only thing I could think of was new 52 and that's about it.

Instill hope in the Devastator somehow. Ask Ares how to quench his thrist for war, and use that on Merciless. Catwoman's doppleganger from a gender switched universe for the Drowned. The only problem remains is, the Batman who laughs. And that is why he could be taken over and put into the next villain of the story and DC may not kill him off.
So Batman is the next Joker.

I guess the story is just another lie as this twisted Batman is narrating it himself. Just like Joker's habit of compulsive lying and alterative backstories he tells for 'fun', maybe this story will be revealed later to be a false one..... Maybe he chose to be absolute evil by free will, ,just for the giggles
