What would you do if you were Rocco?
Who?
Happy Batman day ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Lie down
Hope for a swift end, although that's no fun for the Joker.
thank you 4 this
"It's a really bad time to be a birthday clown" There they got me. This is fantastic.
yeah I was not really onboard til that part.
The commercials and "TV show" segments just got better and better!
Poor Floppo the Birthday Clown. He gets no respect.
"His only crime is a really old vehicular manslaughter" Lmao
I had to replay that to make sure I heard it right! 😂
Remember guys, Blabbo the clown is NOT affiliated with the joker. PLEASE HIRE HIM 😆
I want a spin off with Blabbo.
@@robshimer I'd love for there to be a background plot of Blabbo's fall into desperation until he's eventually henching for Joker
@@TheGhostPanel or a crusade against Joker for ruining a clown's image
"You know the Knock-Knocker is at home sewing himself a costume right now. This frigging town". We need to listen to our elders!
😂🤣
I love the "in universe" commercials in between the mini stories. It helps immerse you into the world that is Gotham, as if I'm listening to an actual radio station in that gargoyle of a city. Keep them coming! I'm enjoying this.
He’s just a birthday clown! And now is a really hard time to be a birthday clown! So maybe help him out!😂
The golden age of radio lives again.
Have you not heard of Audible?
@@RPRsChannel I have, but want nothing to do with them.
@killwill83 That and the fact that they screwed me out of an audiobook one time.
Jeffrey Wright has the distinctive voice that is badass.
No wonder he's beeen cast as Jim Gordon and Marvel What If's The Watcher.
@@milkiassamuel780 I know, it's amazing how he got to play as Batman and alongside him as Jim Gordon. That's insane!
"here's poetry:
roses are red,

Thanks to that, I'm going to say that everytime I play DOOM now on lol
@@FreshPrincex4neat
Jeffrey Wright nailing both Batman and Gordon is so precious
Not to mention the watcher
@@TheTurbanator123
And Smelly Belly.
Ironically, Commissioner Gordon is played by Kenan Thompson, on here 😅
Hes the second Gordon actor to voice Batman after Ben McKenzie who voiced Batman in Year One and played Gordon in Gotham show
This version of Batman sounds like someone trying to do an impression of Billy D. Williams.
People say Radio is dead. It’s been reborn.
Agreed
You should listen to F.E.T.I.D.U.S that's a good radio drama!
It lives in many video games.
Truth ❤️
Clearly you don't live in the UK
Jack Ryder my love. I could listen to his show all day.
"Who am i? Who are you? A tourist?"
Gold
Fun fact: Batman’s secret identity, Bruce Wayne, was derived from two historical figures.
1) Robert the Bruce, a Scottish national hero,
2) And Mad Anthony Wayne, a hero of the American Revolution
Fun Fact: You are always ready to gave us "fun fact" about DC releated stuff so here's a thanks from me.
And Teddy Roosevelt
Fun fact Bruce Wayne was a stand up comic in the 80s
Long live the caped crusader long live Batman 🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇
He surely will live forever
Amen
WE NEED MORE AUDIO ADVENTURES IN MEDIA!
Most of them are in video games.

Theater of the mind.
@@scottmoore1614 Dreams & nightmares. This is theater for the ears.
Highly recommend Big Finish. 😊
Since podcast have been made so popular and mainstream in recent years this kind of content makes sense. Going back to the days where radio was in place of television. This is very interesting and the perfect time to have something like this.
This was actually quite fun. Much better than I thought it would be. I’m excited to listen to more.
I know right!! I hope that season 2 will be new year.
Hey, you're the guy from the Batfeed Discord
@@KhonshusFist yes I am. Good to see others here too.
its amazing. i could actually imagine the entire scenario in my head thanks to his narrations. now i know how entertaining radio was back in the good ol days
Big finish Doctor who got me hooked on audio dramas (adventures). Happy to see more for other shows.
i'll admit this is actually a clever way to give us new batman content without having to break quarantine; kudos
"To be continued" that was like a stab through the heart. I was enjoying that so, so much! Can't wait to listen to episode 2.
oh you have no idea just wait till the end of the seson with a to be conuied
"I let a mugger kill my parents. I won't let TV kill the Radio Star! Alfred! Fetch me my radio!"
oh hi
Literally how are you everywhere
Joker: *🎶OH-WA-OH!!🎶*
@@CNWhatImSaiyan ha I get it
Haven’t seen you in ages.
Just finished the series and hotly anticipating the followup season! This was an absolutely terrific blend of the comedic sensibilities of the 60's TV show & the grit of BTAS. Stellar voice work all around and some of the best writing truly came from the mouths of a lot of the villains; in tandem the script and voices gave a lot of memorable wrinkles that distinguished the rogues from other adaptations. Brent Spiner's Joker in particular felt so different from Hammil, Ledger & Nicholson & still 100% the same menacing icon.
Astute, and agreed. In short, Batman The Audio Adventures is dope AF. So say we all!
That was AMAZING! They packed so much into that 35 minutes; Two Face and Joker, several other side bits and characters, and it still didn't feel cramped! Amazing pacing. LOVED THE casting choice for Two Face, totally unexpected. Usually he sounds so much more beastly and demonic, but he sounds more like a two bit thug here, which I love. They really leaned into the two personalities thing too, having them debate back and forth. Joker was really a treat as well; again, his voice was unexpected, but fit him SO well. Sounds kinda sickly and gaunt, which fits him like a glove. The buildup to Rocko's meeting with him was GENUINELY dread inducing Love it! (Loved Batman's voice obviously, and Robin's fit great too. Nice to see a younger Robin in this, he tends to be in his very late teens in most incarnations these days. This whole thing feels more like classic Batman)
Also, this series has all new characters, so it adds to Batman.
I love the fact that audio dramas are becoming popular
Blabbo the birthday clown is NOT affiliated with the Joker 😂😭
"despite how it may sound, his adversary.. is himself"
you don't say
“Pink fuzz pinkerman if they asks who rolled ya”. Best line in season 1 IMO.
Hey, thanks pal. Just turned 42
The writers seriously need awards. This is literally the only modern piece of media that’s doesn’t make me cringe or destroy my faith in humanity, well done and bravo
Exactly. You see the bob kane label? Duh.
jeffrey wright's batman voice is straight up glorious
He has that campy, noir-parodic style reminiscent of Diedrich Bader’s performance as Bats in The Brave & the Bold and Harley Quinn series; it’s so great for this radio show homage.
I love the flash from the bat light on the radio. It keeps in perfect synch with the actors.
It also changes color based on who’s talking/the primary character. Also…there was…quite a surprise in episode 5…!
Seth is actually good as the Creeper.
I’m quite happy they are using Two-Face so much. He’s my favorite bat rouge.
This is actually really interesting! I never thought I will go back to listening to radio, but this is dope
Have you not heard of Audible?
@@RPRsChannel Ikr. It’s very slept on but is useful and has dope content that be spoken aloud to you if you don’t or are too busy to read it
We're getting a season 2, right? So freaking good when on the job. Helps time fly and work not seem so bad.
Yes, the season 2 trailer actually dropped today.
Yes. They just released a new season last month.
Although I can do without the narrations I really like this format of storytelling. Definitely fits for Batman. Hope this is just a start of more to come.
I like the narrator. During the most suspenseful parts, he's almost like Rod Serling.
He’s portrayed by Chris Parnell.
@@CNWhatImSaiyan Oooh, Dr. Spaceman himself. Such a good actor. This is a sweet fit for his talents.
This Joker's voice is so soft and gentle I love it!!!!If this Joker strap me to a couch and ask me questions for 30 hours I would definitly be willing to!!!
Help, you should seek it.
😳
Brent Spiner might be down, hit him up lol
Dope AF apex-mode Batman combining the most compelling aspects of BTAS and Mr. Miller's The Dark Knight with a highly sophisticated self-aware comic sensibility brought to life with superlative voice-acting, foley work, music and production values resulting in Batman perfection sure to please even the most discriminating enthusiasts.
It is really great! It have same vibe like old Superman Radio Show. I like it :) Noir atmosphere, humor and fantastic voice actors.
Loving this! In the middle of episode 2 rn and loving the cast so far, everyone is compelling I love the old time radio feel and the radio commercials. Hope they made more with different heroes too, that be great very easily can see them doing Superman or the Flash
24:00 - 25:00/ Nice pop culture reference! The song being parodied is actually ST. JAMES INFIRMARY. Look up Cab Calloway's performance of it on THE ED SULLIVAN SHOW. Just happened to be on the same bill as 4 British lads with a bug's name for their band...
11;30
The commercial for the people desperately trying to sell a clown doll while the Joker exists is funny
it's not a commercial for a doll, he's a performer doing children parties
Man DC is really making moves between this and Web toons
I want the songs from this. They sound so great. I wish the songs were real and actual full length songs.
This is such a cool idea. I loved every second of it, please do more.
Best podcast out right now!! Change my mind💪🏿
i agree
"Not again!"
... This has happened before? 😂
This is honestly great, I'm loving it. Please make more.
Thanks for sharing the first two eps, I am loving it.
This is amazing I didn't know how you guys were going to pull this off but you guys did with style and I love the narrator and commercials takes me slap into Gotham the heart. Sometimes I'm a listener sometimes I'm in the midst amazing.
i loved the wolverine podcast series released a few years ago, will definitely love this
There is a Wolverine podcast😲 Do you know where to find it?
what the fuck is a wolverine podcast lmao
Unlike the Wolverine podcast, though, this one is *actually* about the characters whose brand recognition they're banking on.
@@alexpiperhalliwell Kinda. It's called "Wolverine: The Lost Trail" but I listened to the first few episodes and it seems to be a really lazy attempt to capitalize on the popularity of "Serial" banking on the name of a character who has brand recognition. From everything I heard, it was basically just a procedural investigation of these two guys trying to figure out who or what could've possibly torn these men apart (It's obviously Wolverine, but they just draw the mystery out even though everybody listening knows it's Wolverine... they're like "BuT PeOpLe DoNt HaVe cLaWs" and we're like omg get the fuck on with it how many episodes are you going to pretend we don't know who Wolverine is????"). I don't know if Wolverine even ever shows up. It was very lame. If you try looking it up now, the RSS is filled with a bunch of dead links. Gotta love when a big company like Marvel can't even afford to pay their podcast bill. That said, at least it HAD an RSS feed, unlike this one. Wish HBO would stop pretending this is a podcast when they refuse to put it up on an RSS feed so we can actually download the episodes.
@@shaggytheshaman Thank you. I thought it's worth attention but from your description it sounds quite boring.
Ok that birthday clown bit is hilarious
This is amazing thank you very much. I caught parts 1 and 2 on iheart radio today at work. Please keep them coming!
God damn, I love it! Even the radio ads in this audio adventure. It really gives you a feeling that you're listening to the Gotham radio station during a car ride.
ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED! This is awesome, guys!
Now this is what I call a Batman series.
HBO you absolute legends I can watch this whilst on the way to college 😆
Wow, i absolutely loved this. Granted im a big batman fan but this was so well done, i did not think I would enjoy this radio format so much. (And for what its worth, im in my 20s)
I’ve missed audio dramas like this!!
Really enjoy this reminds me of the old radio dramas the did decades ago never grew up with them but I also enjoy audio books.

Dective noir filled with high tech gadgets and romance that is the ultimate Batman story.
Holy shit!!! Thanks HBO Max 🤩
This is so atmospheric and cool. Perfect for a crisp autumn day. 😁
I was happy that I discovered this show right before Halloween.
Well written, good voice acting and background sounds, giving batman vibes, I love this 🦇❤️
This was unexpectedly great.
Awesome, bringing back the real good stuff. Thanks and anxious to hear more!
This is such a great idea!
I LOVE that the song at 23:56 seems to be paying homage to St. James Infirmary Blues
Amazing!!! I really loved the details
I never thought listening batman stories would be this much fun and captivating 💯🔥
I thoroughly enjoyed this, good job hbo
i used to listen to stuff like this at my grandparents. sleeping to the Radio, i love this dude.
This was thoroughly entertaining.
It has been quite a while since I got comedy in my Batman. Definitely the greatest love letter to the golden and silver age of comic since The Brave And The Bold
Thank You HBO Max🙏 for uploading 1st episode of Batman: Audio Adventures (2021- )🦇. #Batman #DC #DCComics #DCUniverse #HBOMax
This is actually the best Batman related product from a while, wow.
This is really good. I'm especially glad to hear it started off by Jack ryder
No spoilers for the rest of the series for us international fans, but I'm really hoping we get a 'vintage' historical black Batman (based on the likeness of Jeffery Wright, of course) to promote next season.
It’s just so good! Fantastic casting too, Brent Spiner as the joker is 👌
I'm glad he got another crack at the role after the rather disappointingly poorly-directed outing in Young Justice. It's like they told him to do the character on valium or something.
ty for this hbo, we don't have hbo max where i live
WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO RELEASE A SOUNDTRACK FOR BATMAN: THE AUDIO ADVENTURES? The original songs are incredible! I don't know it there are full versions of the clips we hear but there needs to be! A Big Band Jazz album set in-Universe about Gotham City is a fantastic idea and I NEED IT! I can't get Dark Purple Dawn out of my head! Please release a full album!
I've been coming back to that sweet Stoveplate Sullivan jazz track for months now. I am surprised a soundtrack has not been released yet.
Right?!?! I want an official soundtrack so badly! I love in-universe music... after everything with R. Kelly, the song Gotham City, from Batman & Robin is ruined... I want more in-universe music and a soundtrack for this show would be incredible!@@theUltTaskmaster
Its the first time im listening to such an amazing podcast. Loved it.
That's the beauty of this. It's not really a podcast per say. Back in the 30's And 40's. Radio adventures like this were king from bugs bunny to the shadow and even war of the world's. Batman and Superman also had Radio shows as well. That's exactly what this is. A Radio adventure for a new age!.
Have you not heard of Audible? They have thousands of audio dramas like this, including several from DC.
We need more of this!
This is great!!!
This video episode & any others connected to this need to be in a playlist on this HBO Channel
I'm loving this. I was just thinking "huh, Batman is sounding a little bit like Keith David"... just a little. Sure enough did some comment snooping and there he is, Jeffrey Wright. Yup I'm in love with it. Gotta say I don't know this actor from much, going add him to my list of actors to look out for :)
Oh bro, West world, Casino Royal, he's been in tons of great stuff. And he's the voice of The Watcher in "What if...?"

Love this!!!
Yoo this is really dope, joker is so intimidating. I love it
Really good. Listened on Spotify.
Need a season 3
This is AMAZING.
Chris Parnell. Man does not get enough credit. Been a fan since SNL. Great Narration.
Speaking of SNL & minimum credit, I’m still floored at Penguin’s introduction in episode three-the “I’m sorry, Mr. Cobblepot” monologue, in particular.
I’ve always had high praise for his voice acting-mainly as Panda in We Bare Bears & Louie in DuckTales-but I never would’ve considered that the meek, cinnamon roll-esque, and teddy bear-like Bobby Moynihan could send chills down my spine with such a menacing performance…! Up there with Mark Hamill’s Joker in terms of iconography…! 🐧🎩☂️
Holy mind blowing Batman!! That was amazing!!
I love radio shows, you can imagine everything happening in your head
This is pretty cool this is how people watched things before TVs were invented you sit and listen hearing your favorite shows on the radio to see something like this years later that is neat
