Koustuv Dey Bruce already said to Alfred that he knows how to be Batman more than being Bruce Wayne. Alfred is always the one who reminds Bruce that he needs to find a balance between Bruce and Batman, two different personalities but at the same time the same person.
In any universe/time line where Alfred dies, it hurts Bruce. Sometimes it breaks him completely (like Murder Machine) and sometimes it just makes him even more hateful towards the world. It depends on the world, that Bruce, Alfred, situation, and other factors. But I think we can all agree on this; whenever Alfred dies in any story, it hurts our sad little hearts (at least mine) XD
Vic is like the only JL member that is valuable to keep alive because of all the information and tech access he has contained within himself. The Dark Knights didn't kill him. He'll likely reverse hack Murder Machine batman and cripple their plans later in the story from within.
Murder machine was probably my favourite of the dark knights cause of his backstory. Really shows how much Alfred meant to Batman, and how easily shit can go out of control

Maybe im dumb but thus far Metal is one of my favorite events in recent memory if not ever. The whole idea of the dark multiverse is amazing. A universe with a finite time to exist and all the Batman from these dead worlds join an extremally powerful demon to take over the Multiverse. So interesting.
So, brutally, dark! Such a twisted answer to what happens when the man who uses terror to serve order becomes when he loses the family that replaced his own! I REALLY expected Bruce to overcome and adapt somehow- to turn this additional loss into yet another metamorphosis. To know that this is the straw that breaks the camel's back, or more appropriately, well and truly twists the Bat- is somehow satisfying in it's absolute horror.
Holy carp batman normally can be pretty scary with some the stuff he does but these evil batman are straight up terrifying when one normal good batman can defeat the league they really don't stand a chance against an evil league of batmen
