The 5 amendments of chess by Danya:
- Don't let your bishop bite on granite
- Your pieces don't have to be always conquering Mount Everest
- The threat is stronger than the execution
- When your opponent plays passively, STRIKE in the center
- No need to reinvent the wheel, just develop your pieces normally
Amen
6th amendment: - You wanna perform a task with a piece of least possible value
commandments?
Sometimes your pieces are at Frankfurt airport
@@money96plyr ahahhah i forgot about frankfurt airport
at the beginner level you're engaging in knife fights, at the master level you're committing war crimes. perfect thank you Danya
“Know we have to ask ourselves, are we afraid of g4? I’m not afraid of g4 it’s an incredibly weakening move”
“He played g4”
Still takes some skill to take advantage of it
@@theTeflonDon1 I always just sac the knight for two pawns, low rating blitz is the best. :D
@@6500s1 It's fine, so long as you can pile up on the pinned knight with other pieces immediately
@@6500s1 Its not a blunder, vs humans at least. Even Gms sac like that
I will always trade my bishop or knight for 2 of those kingside pawns. I don’t think I’ve ever turned it down lol and I win those games usually. I’ll usually sac the bishop keep the knight and then swung my queen over there and they have to work so hard to keep the mate from happening I can usually get some nice weaknesses to open up on different areas of the board, of course sometimes I completely miscalculate and get annihilated but that’s just chess lol
He calmly moves his pieces with 5 seconds on time
You've seen him playing bullet before right? He can do 3 or 4 accurate moves per second if he needs to. The dude's a machine
He obviously has a better internet connection than me. Nothing more frustrating than playing mate and then the next thing you know you lost on time.
Then there's me who plays 15/10 and start panicking when I've got 5 mins left and blunder everything lol
LMAOOO this is me
Really love it when you say: "Calm down guys. Everything is under control".
Because my heart is pumping a little bit faster when you like had under 10 seconds. Not that I forget that you are a wonderful Blitz player. I was afraid that you forget to see how much time you have.
Danya: Playing Positionally
*TRIPLE PAWNS APPEAR ON THE BOARD*
Yeah that happens to me all the time too
The triple entente
It cannot be a human play he's presumably an engine
“The London can become an addiction”
Me: has played hundreds of games with the London and the Caro-Khan. I’m a very unimaginative 1500.
Danya: "What do we want to achieve here? What's our goal?"
Me: "Usually, not to be humiliated by a mate in one that I totally missed."
this is the only episode where Danya crumbled the opponents position past 20 moves
26:00 "You guys are a lot more attached to checking the engine eval than I am and that's the reason I am a GM and you are not".
He did not say that though
34:26
Lol 😂 the sudden transition between impressions and back to teaching out of nowhere.
Professional side: Lets play positionally
Danya style side: piece sac
Last time I was this early I was still laughing hyper-modernists off the board
Wow there is so many speedruns on youtube, but no one explains ideas as good as Daniel. Great job Sir!
Daniel does the best job at deconstructing ideas and explaining them in such an easy to understand fashion. Love the material. Keep up the videos!!!
DANYA you are the best chess teacher on RUclips (In my opinion of course)
Would you lay your life in sub battle war for the Danya? Lol
Ps. I told you I'd win one day lol
he is
@@RevoZep 🤣🤣
honestly i think it’s pretty objective that he’s the best instructor. he teaches to all levels in a way that’s very understandable and that’s honestly the best thing you can ask for in a coach
let's take ch from chess and eacher from teacher, what to we get?
That analogy of the different play styles depending on chess rating was perfect!
Hi Daniel, only just lucked upon finding your content but very glad I have. I'm a 1300-1400 player trying to improve and whilst I have the basics in my head, the way you talk through decision making in real time is the best insight I have found which I can use to improve.
Here I am screaming "what do you mean does anyone see it you have 7 seconds!!!!!" Heart racing like it's my game.. then he laughs "I was toying with you guys"
Chat reminding Danya of the time is so goofy 😆
best channel to learn chess. so calm and so patient. explains how to think.
thank you for doing these videos. They've helped me immensely in playing against the London.
the last thing humanity needs is more people playing the london system, jesus christ danya.
lol
well he’s showcasing how to mutilate it
It is time for me to go to bed, and I literally don't even care, because Danya has uploaded another Rapid Chess Speedrun video!
I’m 12 behind imma do them all tonight
I dont play chess but i always love watching danyas vids, keep up the good work!
Mr Gay Lover, you should try it out, you'll appreciate them in a new light. Unless of course you're just here to admire how handsome Danya is, and that he is.
Sigh, addicted to these videos. Notification = must wake up and watch!
And I feel biggest weakness of these players is not using their time to think. They are playing like it’s blitz.
Except this guy held up against a GM and only lost in the end due to a mistake possibly bcs he wanted to flag his opponent.
@@Alkuf100 yeah he almost drew against a gm. pretty impressive stuff
This game is a perfect way to best the London. Very natural play for both sides
Great Positional ideas. Wonderful analogy of rating level playing style to warfare tactics.
"On the third hand"
*looks down*
THAT'S why Im bad at chess!
Danya, do you think in the future you could post the PGN in the video description? It would be super fun to analyze these games with a computer while also considering your advice. Thanks!
I look up to Daniel. Thank you so much
Genius level playing and commentary
Amazing content as always!
"the center pawns are like the UN" 🤣🤣🤣
Excellent lesson. Thanks as always!
The guy is playing fearlessly we got to hand it to him😂😂
'Fearlessly'.
@@yzfool6639 Thanks for the rectification!
Another complete classic. Thanks!
"Well, chess is hard." Danya
20:43
34:25 Like "fix it in place"!
Playing a lot of 3 min blitz atm. Many of my opponents play like this. Pushing pawns in front of the king to attack the light square bishop.
They should. We can't defend even when we have time to do so and checkmate, not having a better position, ends the game.
GM Daniel Naroditsky. The original speed run King.
I can't find the quote Danya said at 21:06-"I spend the first half of my chess career learning rules and the second half unlearning them."
Did Lasker really say it?
If yes, where?
still on day 31 of saying you're the greatest. I had missed this episode and had to doubletime it and catch up haha. thanks danya!
Just in time
i truly believe daniel is a hard working guy and also a genius
19:30 who suggested Rb1 💀
That rook doing dirty work! 😤
Alright, alright, this is superb. I'll stop playing coy and subscribe.
In that first game i almost didnt breathe. Damn Daniel!!!
Bravo, down to the last second.
This muttered phrase is what it feels like to be Danya:
15:56
sensei danya back at it again! 😁
This guy mates 1800s while laughing 😭 I hope I get to this level one day
you won't, lol. Neither will I though haha
anarchychess is punching the air rn
you are a good teacher
Hey Daniel do you think you could do a grand prix attack if you run into another Sicilian?
People always say g4 weakens the king and that you shouldnt unpin the knight that way, but I never actually see a checkmate from it and I almost always see it end in drawing positions. Seems to me that g4 and other pawn moves on the king side are not actually that weakening
Actually Stockfish likes g4 pretty often. Especially if it allows you to win a pawn with the unpinned Knight.
Thank you GM Danya
12:47 Herm Edwards!
that war analogy is probably one of the best analogies I've ever heard
40 seconds left, checks ear phones.
Me: GO MOVE.. KILL IT... MAKE THE HORSEY KICK SOME ASS.
I mean... ahm... *breaths* Quality as always.
Thank u 4 the video
At 9:32 why didn't you move qc7? That would have brought the queen into the game and avoided the queen trade. Is that wrong?
That was my first idea. It does so many things lol
The h2b8 diagonal is actual pretty inaccessible. d8 may have been a move to swing the queen over. I think he was trying to provoke a weakness in the pawn chain (while still protecting the c4 pawn) but the opponent found a really strong move.
Awesome
Hey Daniel, love the videos. Quick suggestion: throw chat into your stream overlay. I feel like you interact with chat a lot, and it takes away from the RUclips experience to not see it. Of course, I'll try to tune in on Twitch so I can fix that issue myself, but might be worth considering. Much love!
G4 wasn’t a mistake in that position and actually black’s tattered kingside pawn structure compensated for white’s exposed king and blacks king was also exposed. Bxf3 was the correct move due to relinquishing 😮😂the pressure on e5.
20:21 it is worth it at my level (1500 blitz) because opponents dont know how to take advantage of "activity" and waste it by playing some non-ideal moves. that gives me time to consolidate, and after trading everything, that pawn from the other side of the board is too far for the king.
I can guarantee you, you will indeed get in a lot of trouble against any 1700+ player playing like this, so if you want to improve, you better not risk your king safety in favor of a pawn.
Thanks a lot
Hi great video , can you play the benoni next time ?
I actually liked your war analogy a lot and think it applies so well to the twitterverse following the war in Ukraine. You have all of these “low ranked” commenters throwing their grenades and knives, then the mid-ranked journalists with their input. Then the “grandmaster” (hopefully) statesmen and IR scholars thinking about the long view of the world. Anyway, thanks for a great game analysis and food for thought.
I just can't even conceive of not taking with the knight after he pushes to chase away the bishop. That's as good as a free win as far as all of my experience tells me.
Well that's actually quite a thematic sac.. If u are boring u will play boring chess
Youre so underdeveloped though i dont know how justified it is
Is his name danya or Daniel lol?
Actual name is Daniel, Danya is an affectionate nickname
Danya is the Russian diminutive of Daniel - like Danny in English.
Nice video video as always but at the end promoting to Queen with mate was clearly a blunder since you can go
1)... Kc3
2)a5 b1=N
3)a6 Nbd2
4)a7 c1=N+
5)Ka1 Ndb3+
6)Kb1 Na3#
Day 2 of asking Danya what he thinks about playing suboptimal moves proposed by chat, to see how he recovers from little inaccuracies and mistakes
he already finished the speedrun like a couple months ago,hes uploading them here after editing so that might not be possible but its a good idea
@@trallegas6589 he did? I’m pretty sure I joined a stream a week ago and he was doing speedrun games
@@Amoeba_Podre Idk if he's done with the speed run or not yet but he last played on that account 4 days ago.
always been intrigued by chess but only recently started paying attention to how to actually play. at 5:55 would it have been a bad move to take g4 with the knight, instead of pawn h6? sorry if you explain this later in the video i just wanted to make note before forgetting
I know this comment is a year old, but if he takes the pawn on g4 then his knight is hanging from the queen on d1.
I know this comment is 2 years old, but if he takes the pawn on g4 then his knight is hanging from the queen on d1 and the knight on e5.
Thank you for ur description of chess games. I love them. 👏
Еще вопрос если не сложно: ваша семья родом из укр или рос? С какого города если точнее? Спасибо за ответ заранее. Очень полезные видео. Учусь на ваших партиях 🙃
10:28 black queen checks at A3 then picks up the pawn. am I wrong?
wow that was close to a draw, endgames are tough
Should be re titled to playing AGAINST the London
Love it
Anyone else watch these to help you fall asleep?
Gut
Danya, could you play London system yourself someday? I think everybody wants to see that
Danya channels his inner Tevya.
That was a nice game
🙏
Yee
When Daniel need to think why does her keep looking to his right... then suddenly he knows what to do, & explains it after the event?
34:30 is that you Kasparov?
Getting so close to a london game as white haha
Twitch chat telling a 3k+ bullet player to watch the clock is insane
29:31 what about Qc7?
Legend! 5 sec GOD
Eric Rosen would be proud
When I read the title I thought that Daniel streamed mtg
A lot of wheels haven't been reinvented in the latest video's.
This is why they say you dont want to play a gm in the endgame huh
Perform the same task with the least valuable pieces
Finally an endgame.
My problem with these videos is I ran out of them :/
