@moses3463 this is what you could say about each professional chess player. So your great insight about life of professional chess players is kind of obvious truism 😮
Game 1 vs King’s Indian : 0:33 Game 2 vs d5 Bf5 : 12:14 Game 3 vs a6 b5 Bb7 : 20:02 Game 4 vs d5 e6 Bd6 Nf6 : 26:25 Game 5 vs d5 Nc6 Bf5 : 36:22 Game 6 vs Nf6 d6 Nc6 : 41:57
I loved the rage stalling analysis. I rage reported someone for rage stalling. I now feel dumb when the GM doesn't even know what it is. my analysis may have been wrong
Really good content, I enjoy all of this instructional series cause I learn a lot from them. And you Aman are definitely my favorite "chess coach", I like your clarity in explaining and also your personality :)
While I did greatly enjoy the video, I do believe Daniel naroditzky's videos are more instructive if you are an actual 800 rated player. Some of the concepts Aman showed in the video definitely feel more advanced to me (I am just ~1300 tho so don't take my word for it)
I love the way how you teach the London system. Not just by reviewing old games from GMs like most of the videos I found prior to this. But actually playing and going through since the beginning. That’s the best way to learn openings. I cannot wait to try the London system and see other videos like this for other openings and defenses. Thanks!
Fantastic both fun and informative. Here’s what makes you different - others will say “ok if he makes that move then I make this move”, but you say “ok if he makes that move then I make this move AND HERE’s WHY”. The WHY is the only way we really learn! Bravo!!
The streets needed this. I’ll enjoy watching to see if/when someone plays the setup you suggest we play against the London in your Habits series and will probably still aim to play more of that style but glad to have this type of new content back in my life
LOL that first game your opponent set a life goal of getting your worst piece the dark square bishop. That was hilarious to watch. You could feel the rage.
Hi GM Aman, I would like to thank you for all the previous tutorials, your this channel and chessbrah Extra helped me a lot in climbing up the ratings from 350 Elo to 800 Elo. I will keep learning and climb higher. Thanks once again!
@@joseherrera8521 Thanks bro, I would like to tell you - I also got stuck at many places (for like months), I think they are called 'chess plateau' , but after crossing two of those points earlier I knew it may take some time but I will climb higher. I also used to watch those 'Building Habits' episodes again and again. I believe, you too can climb higher and higher. All the best!
Speaking of "rage stalling", windows had a backgammon game where your opponent would be able to just not move their piece if they knew you would win in the next roll. Like no time limit. I remember going out to a movie, dinner, school and coming home sometimes to a held move. Some people could not handle the impact of a loss. They had a quick chat function where you could passive aggressively say, "your move" or like "hello" and you'd leave a message to see if they were still there after hours of delay and eventually some would reply which always made the game of chicken that much more intense. You could also do this right before your last move in a win too to be that much more bm. Good times.
I really like the sense of humor which Aman demonstrates. The less pieces you have on the board, the less the chance you will blunder. Genius! Also he was so serious when he discussed the future of his future wife. Hilarious. Bravo Aman!
I don't know how but you released the video at the exact time I needed it. Searching some London games and boom 💥💥 chess brah releases a full London speed run. Can't be more excited for this.
I love the dry humour. It's strange, the opponents I'm playing in the 700-800 rating level seem much stronger than your opponents at the 800-900 level!
I watched your Kings Indian videos and they’ve greatly helped me improve my rating and play-style, so thank you very much. I hope to learn much more from this series! Keep up the good work!
I'm so pumped for this. I used the habits with the london system to get me from 1150 to 1350 in about a year. Can't wait to see what this series will do for me!
I love this. I've going through the king's indian speenrun, this time actually taking notes and I must say, it's nice not having to only rely on tactics👌🏾, cause as a 1300, i'm bound to make a few blunders. Thank you
That was a very nice video, thank you! As a beginner in the London I didn’t really understand everything you explained yet and I couldn’t follow that well cos it was too fast for me. Maybe it’ll make more sense when I study it. But it was very good for first impression and I begin to really like the London. Checking the other videos now. 😊
32:47 - I think that's a terrible move by black and aman didn't respond perfectly, because if he simply played Nxd4 and black responded fxe4, Rd7 wins the queen. Unless I'm nuts and missing something black has for a resource.
Im just curious instead of tucking away the bishop why not back the bishop against the kings rook pawn. That is a good place to have an open file room if you castle on the queen side.
I like how a trade of pieces were you just lose a pawn at the end is considered "unplayable" for GM while I don't hesitate one sec to hang my queen to fork to pawns with my knight.
So... if I'm following the building habits playlist and I'm getting close to 800 should I switch to this opening for white, or stick with what is listed in building habits?
First time watching your content, and I really like the way you present. Have to admit.... the channel name put me off a bit, but you explain methodically and analyse well after. +1 Sub.
Why do the Blue Jays and Expos hats keep swapping spots on the shelves? Its not a flipped camera thing because the chess board stays on the rightside. I swear hes just doing this to trigger my ocd
This was EXACTLY the video I needed man! all of the london instruction videos are great and all, but almost none of them show actual real games, just lines and common replies that black can do. Seeing the London being played many times over in actual games along with your instructions on how to handle black's replies has been amazingly helpful and hope to see more in the future! You've got a new subscriber man, thanks!
@6:24 You should have checked him with qf3 and you would get his queen or it would be mate. Because he had to of gone G8 and then you would go G3 and no matter what G7 would be mate. Couldn't watch after this.
There are so many good tips sprinkled around here and there in the video. How do I remember all or at least most of them? This is not exactly something I can just write it down because the ideas depend on that specific type of position and I can't be listing down millions of those positions. Any tips? :'(
It's really funny to watch GM's listen to music in background while for me I need my TOTAL Concertation. Even if i get a msg i'll get distracted and it will me like 30-45sec to get my concertation in the game.
Should have just done a series with black also lol I'm curious if my habit building will work with the london. Im sure the nuances to every opening lol
Sir your king's Indian series was fantastic I watched the series couple of times and I applied the system and won a lot a games just keep going with this type of content
38:31 I would have never made the move Bg5, then trade for the knight on f6. I had it drilled into my head that a bishop for knight is a bad trade, so I wouldn't even consider it. The way you explained how pinning the knight on f6 is an indirect way of pressuring d5 and eventually winning the pawn was super helpful and very informative. Then the way you retreat back to avoid discover attack, comfortably up a pawn... chef's kiss my friend.
He committed his whole life to winning the bishop and sacrificed so much until he finally achieved his dream…but at what cost
Everything.
These 2 comments = Gold 🙌🏻

“Don’t use all your time when there’s one legal move” this is the GM level advice I come here for

31:59 "Once you blunder a piece, it's harder to blunder more pieces." Savage. Aman's dry wit is hilarious.
There’s just less stuff to blunder.

what a climb bro, im trying to climb to 800 (im 685) but im a bad player. Anyway, nice job!

@@pulkitlohia 800 elo in rapid or or 5min one? And did you watch the whole Playlist of building habits?
@@Avi-tq6fd In rapid, I didn't finished the whole playlist as of now, exams!
😅
Yeeeey, another series series!! Thank you Aman!

Thanks Aman and Eric for making chess cool again! I got back into it after not playing competitively for 15 years because of you
Thank you! I've been playing the London for quite some time now and this is going to be GREAT!!!!
Second time I watch this series. Aman you are my absolute favorite chess streamer to watch and I love your humor. Thanks for all your content.
I am super excited for this! You are the best chess commentator on RUclips I think.
I really like the sense of humor which Aman demonstrates. The less pieces you have on the board, the less the chance you will blunder. Genius! Also he was so serious when he discussed the future of his future wife. Hilarious. Bravo Aman!
The London System series was incredibly helpful, so much that now this is my go-to opening for white!! Definitely watching your openings series!!
I don't know how but you released the video at the exact time I needed it. Searching some London games and boom 💥💥 chess brah releases a full London speed run. Can't be more excited for this.
What? I LOVED this system & YOU convinced me it was "low T" 🤣
Aman always plays the London when he doesn't know how strong a player is, for example when playing in the park. It's his staple
I really like your slow, intelligent games against GM's, but I *LOVE* watching you destroy my fellow amateurs 👍
Good stuff Aman. Keep this London series up
"Once you blunder a piece, its harder to blunder more pieces" brah hasn't watched my 500 elo ass blunder every move 😂😂😂
"It's recommended that you use your time to think BEFORE you're lost."
Could you do a black opening along with it or the reverse london?
At around 40:50, he mentions that if the opponent takes the knight, they lose their queen. I'm not seeing that. Could someone explain?
I love the dry humour. It's strange, the opponents I'm playing in the 700-800 rating level seem much stronger than your opponents at the 800-900 level!
times have changed, people are way more informed now
I watched your Kings Indian videos and they’ve greatly helped me improve my rating and play-style, so thank you very much. I hope to learn much more from this series! Keep up the good work!

At last! 😃
I was waiting so much For You to do this 💪. Thanks a Lot 👍
What if at 1:49 Pawn f6? And what is a good move on blacks side to counter your position at 7:01 ?
I love this. I've going through the king's indian speenrun, this time actually taking notes and I must say, it's nice not having to only rely on tactics👌🏾, cause as a 1300, i'm bound to make a few blunders.

Around the 6min mark, Bh5, Qf7#. Not that Bishop, the other one. The light square one that always eyeball a checkmate in the London system.
That was very, very useful; well put together, well explained, and well illustrated. See you in part 2!! Cheers.
Hahaha that bishop thirst on the first game was hilarious
@6:05 the better move was Bh6 Bg7, Qf5... anything after was a disaster. Correct me if I'm wrong
14:44 knight to d5 looking for c7 pins to punish Queen trade. No way to stop
After looking more knight b5 even better
Great! Hoping for Italian next!
His “habits” series is essentially the Italian.
@@markguzewich I guess that's true.
16:05 I train puzzles in the background when they are rage stalling so I can get even stronger!
9:26 should have promoted that to a bishop
That was a very nice video, thank you! As a beginner in the London I didn’t really understand everything you explained yet and I couldn’t follow that well cos it was too fast for me. Maybe it’ll make more sense when I study it.
But it was very good for first impression and I begin to really like the London. Checking the other videos now. 😊
At 45:30, how can you justify 3 knight moves when you aren't fully castled? is there something in the position that indicates it's OK?
The other pieces are already developed and the king is not in danger
LET'S FUCKING GO! Super hype for this series!!!
Great series man - thanks!!
32:47 - I think that's a terrible move by black and aman didn't respond perfectly, because if he simply played Nxd4 and black responded fxe4, Rd7 wins the queen. Unless I'm nuts and missing something black has for a resource.

Nice to see Aman representing the UK
Hell yeah. I have wanted you to do a London series!
another beautiful series! :)
i love London opening but i dont know much theory there, especially where you're abandoning b2 pawn for some initiative
Im just curious instead of tucking away the bishop why not back the bishop against the kings rook pawn. That is a good place to have an open file room if you castle on the queen side.
This was amazing content, but what was that sound at 20:47 ? I thought I heard something? 😂😂😂
I like how a trade of pieces were you just lose a pawn at the end is considered "unplayable" for GM while I don't hesitate one sec to hang my queen to fork to pawns with my knight.
Really like your various series! Could you include some black games on how to play against the London as well?
I am new here, but I'm living for the humor around 25-26 minutes in 😂
Aman you're a freaking legend! Will definitely add this series to the botez Queen's gambit and habits!
Question: If I move me queens pawn to d4 and my opponent immediately moves his pawn to e5, what do I do?
It's called the "Englund gambit". You should always take the pawn. It's not good for black, but there are a lot of traps. Watch a short video on it
So... if I'm following the building habits playlist and I'm getting close to 800 should I switch to this opening for white, or stick with what is listed in building habits?

LOVE this immersive atmosphere😊
The only thing I learned from that first game is that Aman is like a cat playing with his food.
Missed opportunity for this series to be "London/Hippo" or "London/Indian". London when white, Hippo/Indian when black. No matches left out.
Nah I like it cleaner, don't need extra scrolling to find the openings
39:38 bro that board and the one on my screen are identical mid game lol
awesome stuff hambo
So you recommend just regular London stuff against kings indian? Or do you guys think c4 is a good option?
