      that's only because your opponent doesn't play the opponent moves in the video.

    • @darkhorse2reign
      @darkhorse2reign Год назад +16

      At first, I get crushed too but it's because at my level my opponents don't play the best moves and I see some crazy shit ... until I get a few games in and learn to see the whole board and understand the basic IDEAS of the positions and not just the memorized positions. With the London it's more about SOLID chess and the traps almost (almost) set themselves.

    I play King's Indian blitz and when people try the London against me I found they set themselves up for a trap often. I just castle, move my rook to f8, then push my pawn f5. They have to move their dark bishop, which allows me to set up a fork on the bishop and the knight. Because of the forging move against the dark bishop, they often don't see the fork coming. I won so many games this way. Many people don't play both c3 and Qc2. Instead, they castle and they lose a piece for a pawn.

I took with the rook and he attacked with the other bishop on b4 with check forcing my knight to block/ me to move my king. If you let the knight take the bishop next to the rook, you have an open rook file. You can then gain a pawn and then potentially gain a rook if they take your knight with the pawn protecting their rook. Does that make sense?

    • @AlexBanzea
      @AlexBanzea  2 года назад +1

      You develop the bishop on the active square and then you can play e3 making the d4 pawn quite solid. Often times the bishop on f4 is amazing controlling the e5-square and one of the most effective plans is to play Nf3-Ne5 and it becomes very tricky for your opponent to deal with it.

    • @AlexBanzea

      Qh5! Wins there. As a general rule, you should never open up a file against your king. Sometimes white even sacrifices a minor piece to open up the h-file, so losing that pawn is actually helping white!

      Ok, I made the purchase. I was going through the moves, and was reading the chapter, and the chess board wasn't showing the variations it was explaining of what could happen. How do I go back to the previous page or chapter ?

    if you are teaching, you should suggest the watchers ELO first. Another thing is dont show the positions that dont work, just the correct ones. Easier to remember.
