My first band, The Statics...the first tune we "mastered". A soft spot in my head for this. Baritone sax courtesy of Ferndale High School.
Great classic instrumental Rock'n'Roll tune!
In 1958 I was a sophomore in high school. Never heard this recording before, but I can tell you with my eyes closed that it had to be from 1958 or 59.
This record was a chart topper on WKBW Buffalo in Sept 1958.
Dick Clark played it frequently on AB. Great instrumental
Not heard this before reminds me of The Champs? Great tune love this
Whimpering rockn'roll... 🕵🏻😃😸🐭🐭🐭👍🏿
I remember Norm N. Nite featured this on a WCBS FM Top 20 countdown show.
Wild Weekend is also from Buffalo NY.
I'm a Human Fly spelled F L Y...
Is great on Tenor too!
New on me .. I like it .. lots. Not quite Perfect Pop, but a great bopper.
Johnny & The Hurricanes sound minus Organ ... ;-)
You otter listen to Up on the Mountain by The Magnificents
I may have heard worse, but I can't remember when.
My record collecting friend says he found a copy of this and will give it to me for free. Is that a good price then?
Are you kidding me? I know this isn't the greatest song ever but my gosh have you listened to the radio lately? This is probably better then about 90% of the crap on the radio today. At least it's real musicians playing real instruments.
