Both are great phone. But you should buy according to your needs. If you don't have any tablets and would like to have bigger screen, then go for fold. If you want bigger battery, better camera and have tablet devices, then S24U would be ideal.
In india there is only 300$ difference between z fold 6 and the s24 ultra so it's a no brainer to go for the z fold 6 it gives a much bigger display and much more multitaksing facility than the s24 ultra. Btw love from India❤️
Man stick with the 24 Ultra. The Z fold 6 needs to see a decrease in sales so we can see the improvements moving forward. You was right when you said the z fold 5
I just upgraded from the fold 4 to the 6 and I love it. I don't care about the camera as much as I used to. I still have my Note 20 ultra that I use for my work phone. I use the cameras on the note.
I've said it before, I'll say it again... I'm a huge fan of the next shiny thing... However I really want to want a folding phone but... I don't want one.... Shoot.
I just got the Fold 6 and I'm about to ship it back out. The cameras are ok but not as good as the S24 Ultra. The battery isn't as good. It doesn't have fast wireless charging. When watching videos in vertical, the video is to small. When I place it horizontal, then it doesn't fill in the whole screen and it I zoom in, it's cropped off. Ok, I open up the inner screen and now if I go full screen, there's a big gap on the top and bottom of the phone. The aspect ratio isn't good for the fold. I can literally put my S23 Ultra horizontal and its even bigger screen if I place it over the Fold 6. Maybe the Fan Editon is the one that will make the fold like it should have been in the first place. Like you said, at least I gave it a chance. For now I'll look forward to the S25 Ultra and then see what the next Fold Brings. But I know for a fact if it's the same dimensions and no better battery or cameras then I will skip it without a thought or remorse. To each their own, this was just my experience and 2 cents and everyone's is different.
There's some points about all of'em that suck when dealing with Samsung directly (or should I say Scamsung). Color schemes that are exclusive to the Samsung website - and only available to unlocked variants. Want black? Tough nuts, Crafted Black for the Fold6 AND Flip6 is a Samsung online exclusive. The 1TB variants are also locked away behind unlocked variants, you can't even get a carrier branded 1TB S24 Ultra. But I think that was a thing since the S22 Ultra days because carriers and retailers didn't want it fearing it would be too expensive...buncha weirdos...
We forget to mention the s24 ultra has better resolution. Pros and cons to both. Pick what fits your needs. I went from fold 4 to fold 5 to s24 ultra. I miss my fold sometimes, but I can't give up the better price, battery, resolution, camera, special bluetooth spen, and durability which is why I am keeping my s24 ultra. The tab s9 ultra helps me get over any folding phone.
Ok so I ordered my s24u Sunday and I got it in the mail yesterday. I have now had mine for a full 24 hours and I love it. However I would never be able to spend 1200 plus on it without a large discount. It could be that I got a 570 discount what drop it down to 849, but when back up to 907 with taxs lol. I typically won't pay no more then 900 dollars for my phones, and I am more then happy with my black friday deal from samsung website.
I don't really use my camera. I mostly talk trash, play games, read, and watch videos. I draw, make memes, and read some more. I also watch movies and stream shows on Netflix, HBO, and other platforms. I'm getting it, upgrading from the S22U... so? It's whatever. I spend more on graphics cards every year.
Sooo, i have comment that leads into a question. Please bare with me while I explain. I'm sorry for the novel, lmao. Now, ive been a Samsung "Note" Ultra guy since the Note 10 Ultra. I never thought I'd use the "S-Pen" before so I stayed away from the "Ultras." But, after getting my first Note 10 Ultra back in the day and tried the S-Pen, i immediately fell in love and never looked back!! Every single phone I've had since then was the "Note Ultra" with the S-Pen. When I heard they were discontinuing the Note series, I was really sad because I knew the "S" series didn't come with these cool S-Pens. Then i found out that you could get an "S" series phone that did come with an S-Pen as long as you got the "S Ultra." It was perfect because I honestly feel that they're the exact same phones anyways. Soo, i didn't have a choice but to switch to the "S" series Ultra for the pen. I use it constantly and absolutely love them! They make using the phone so much easier. But, since ive been using a "Note Ultra/S Ultra" for all these years now, I kinda want to explore another phone series. Sooo, my questions are.. does the Z-Fold 6 S-Pen work like the S23 Ultra S-Pen with all the features and controlling options? Like, the S23 Ultra S-Pen is like a "smart" S-Pen and has a ton of different uses and features. Is the S-Pen with the Fold 6 basically the same? And let's say i have an extra S-Pen for my S23 Ultra. Can I use that S-Pen with the Fold 6? And just to confirm, the Z Fold 6 DOES NOT come with the phone and is an extra accessory that needs purchased if im not able to use the extra S23 Ultra S-Pen with the Z Fold 6?
I got the S22 ultra been looking at the fold6. You said the cameras are pretty much the same? Kinda the only thing i care about, plus ive havent had any of the folds.
The fold seemed like the perfect phone for me. I rarely talk on the phone, and I don't text a lot. My phone is mostly media only. I switched from the note 10+ (I hated giving up my Aura Blue Best Buy exclusive). I really like the phone, and I don't regret it at all, but I would be lying if I said I didn't entertain the idea of going back to a bar phone. The inside screen aspect ratio was not much different from a bar phone when watching movies and videos with the black bars on it. I miss having the pen inside of the phone and choosing any case I want. I don't care about the cameras too much, but I do want the latest and greatest for my money. The only function of the camera that I want is the ultra zoom. The screen real estate for multitasking is amazing. For that reason, I likely wouldn't switch back. I had planned to upgrade to the Z Fold 6 if the S-pen was Bluetooth, inside the phone, and had a larger external screen (fat-fingering when typing on it is annoying). The weight and size aren't an issue for me, and the physical fingerprint sensor was an underrated upgrade, but I did have a Whitestone glass screen protector on my note. I'll probably upgrade to another fold when the time is right, but I do have an underlying feeling that there's something more I desire from this phone. It could be the minor bugs that aren't worth mentioning, that you don't get with bar phones.
I love both designs, but I'd stick with the S24 Ultra, because Fold Phones are way too expensive to get fixed. Of course, an S24 Ultra would be expensive to get fixed, but it's only one screen.
What’s the actual screen size for unfolded Z fold 6 for watching movies? I know it’s going to be blocked off horizontally. Is the true display for movies going to be 6.8
I can't stick with Samsung anymore, I currently have the S24 ultra but if you want to use a screen protector of any kind the finger print sensor will drive you nuts. Also people are having the same S24 ultra issue I'm having where the screen brightness will dim for some apps automatically and not go back to full brightness, you have to manually go back and raise the brightness. I thought about switching to the Z fold 6 but Samsung can't wake up and give me a wider cover screen so I can text people properly. So next step will be the Pixel 9 pro fold (bigger cover display with a traditional side finger print sensor.
I never had any issues with a screen protector and using the fingerprint sensor. Have u tried to enable the touch sensitivity in the options? Maybe this will help u out.
I currently have the Fold 4 and have issue with the screen and the hinge so I am about to get the S24 Ultra I will see how the Flod 6 handles the screen screen issues and consider getting the Fold 7 when it comes out, I have friends who just got the Fold 6
I've had the zf6 nearly 2 weeks.. It's been good as I've been away on holiday.. But I've found myself using the 24u more.. Just more practical for every day use.. Imo Z6f is class tho!
If the task is to paint and sketch outside and inside on a phone, but you don't want a permanently large phone, but at the same time you are very concerned about scratching and leaving dents on a folding phone from the pen.. What to do then?
I tried the zfold 3, been wanting to try again but price, durability concerns, and bulk with case really kill it for me. If Samsung copied the surface duo which could have addressed it all I would be estatic. Now all I can hope for is a fatter slab phone with better landscape support.
my zfold 2 had a red line from top to bottome at the same place you pointed at woke up the next day and it was gone not sure if it did some pixle refresh or what
NEITHER! The S23FE at $500 is ALL I need for my day-to-day life and serves my needs at a THIRD of the price! Paying ANYTHING more is just unnecessary... I have NO need for Magazine quality photos/videos AND NO need to for 8K video or all the other "frills" that I will NEVER use at THAT price. WHY?
I have fold 4, and i want to go back to s ultra series. One major problem is hinge. I dropped it once and can open the hinge fully. The second reason is productivity. I use the outer screen more on a daily basis, but it is too tiny. But the inner screen js too big to use on a daily basis. The pen is useful but can't be carried without a bulky case. Display is better on ultra series, too. I am going to use this device for at least 6 years because it was too damn pricey. Can i make it to the s30 ultra lol.
I just bought a S24 Ultra and i miss my old LG G7 Thinq with the fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone. I can't believe the screen protector on the S24 is blocking the fingerprint. Why is it on the screen anyway instead of the back? Not working therefore useless, even after activating "screen sensitivity" in the parameters.
Im able to upgrade through my phone service. I have a s22 ultra. I dont really take photos, or use the stylus. Im thinking about the fold cause i like the huge screen and i might be inclined to use the spen on the big screen. I think im going for the fold.
Hi, so my question is that in these uncertain and dangerous era of hacking and Privacy concerns, can we afford to rely on a phone where there is no guarantee for monthly security patches and android version upgrades too. My father used Moto edge 20 fusion, using it for more than 4 years now and hardly any updates popped up during this time. Now I am gifting him Samsung S24+ for better security and updates.
I've never traded in a phone before so this is a dumb question I am sure: Do you have to do a data transfer while you're sitting in the store or something?
No. You order your phone, receive it and then you have 2 weeks to post your trade phone to samsung. They will send the box and postage info in a box with the new phone.
7 years of support yes. But the fold most likeky for most won't even last half. 🤣. Don't buy Gimmicks. The chances you have to get repairs within the first year or more times is way too high
Fast forward 3 months on 11/16. Trade-in value for the s24 ultra is $1,200 + $360 off on Samsung's website today... Is it worth it I tried the z-fold four and returned it cuz the front was a little too small That was the only downside otherwise I loved it. Need some advice!!!
How I wish the fold 6 has those bluetooth s pen that can slot inside the phone like ultra 24. The bluetooth pen can be used as a handy remote control for the camera. The one come with the case is just a normal s pen.
A couple years back I used a S22U for work and a Fold 4 for personal. Now its opposite. S24U for personal and Fold 6 for work. Pocket tablet for a sales career is really nice. For personal id rather have the nicer camera for taking family photos. We also go to beach alot and you dont have to worry about a speck of sand getting in the hinge while stowed away in the beach bag. Happened to a fold 4, man was that crunchy sounding 😅
My fold4 inside screen went black but the outside still worked so i checked the fold6 and ultra so I decided to do the fold6. The insurance i feels a gimmick after trying to use it but one only gets the same phone without choice so since theres a warreny for a year on a new one no need for insurance at least its my thought.
I had a z fold 6 for a little bit and try the " no regrets " catchy phrase. Then I got tired of the battery life at the end of my work day being 10% and the charging slower. Went back to my s24 ultra and realized why I like it better. I never really worry about the battery and charging. The camera on the z fold 6 didn't really bother me that it wasn't the newest and best

And the battery not good as the ultra
I just upgraded from the fold 4 to the 6 and I love it. I don't care about the camera as much as I used to. I still have my Note 20 ultra that I use for my work phone. I use the cameras on the note.
I just got the Z fold 6, gave my S24 Ultra to wife, Im loving it....
I'll just stick with my S24 ultra!
Same here. Ultra is my means of communication...
I'll stick with my pixel 7
Me as well 🙂
Same here, I have a Tab S7 plus for when I want a big screen at home.
Me too...S24U is the best in the world. The fold is a niche phone😊
S24 ultra
Does your s24u fold?🤣🤣
I appreciate your truthfully honest reviews. Helps me make decisions. 👌
Thanks for your video , it really help me to decide. I have s24 ultra and im going for fold 6
Glad I could help
I couldn't decide so got 'em both!
Good call
You're talking directly to me... and thank you for that.
Cant go wrong with either
I ended up sending the 24 ultra back though and keeping fold 6
Hey thanks man for the wonderful comparison!
That really helps!
I have both as well, brother. I keep gravitating back to my S24 Ultra. Ha
Samsung charges a 5% restocking fee on fold6 return
I owned both, and loved them!
Both good phones
I'm happy with my s24 ultra
Nothing wrong with that
Ok so I ordered my s24u Sunday and I got it in the mail yesterday.
Just subbed btw
Welcome aboard!
Graphics cards are expensive. Just got a 4080 Super
I say they both go hand in hand when it comes to photography and editing
s24 ultra is right for me and I want it
It’s a great phone
I also have spectrum mobile as my secondary line and have upgrade anytime plan so I’m good
Great review but I'm sticking with my Galaxy s24 Ultra. But i was curious.
Coming from Iphone, Making the big switch, I Loveeeeee My ZF6 , My Only Knock is for 1800 i would love a Better camera.
Sooo, i have comment that leads into a question. Please bare with me while I explain. I'm sorry for the novel, lmao.
Now, ive been a Samsung "Note" Ultra guy since the Note 10 Ultra. I never thought I'd use the "S-Pen" before so I stayed away from the "Ultras."
But, after getting my first Note 10 Ultra back in the day and tried the S-Pen, i immediately fell in love and never looked back!!
I had a Fold 3 for years, and I don't think I could go back. Just got the fold 6. I still think I want to go back to a regular phone at some point.
I dint think I could go back, but I'm gonna go back
Well, which is it, bucko?
I wish i had the money to have both 🥺 in only have the s24 ultra
i watch alot of youtube videos so only a fold will do for me. and once you have a fold you can't go back!
My glass screen protector on my s24u works flawlessly with my finger print scanner. Maybe try a different brand.
Imo
Z6f is class tho!
WHY?
You forgot the part where I asked.
Agreed!!
Not gonna lie s24 ultra specs are really good. I will say once I got the z fold 4 I can not unsee it lol. The multiple screens got me hooked
@@scaplover it’s a nice feature
I just bought a S24 Ultra and i miss my old LG G7 Thinq with the fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone. I can't believe the screen protector on the S24 is blocking the fingerprint. Why is it on the screen anyway instead of the back? Not working therefore useless, even after activating "screen sensitivity" in the parameters.
reason i didnt get the fold yet is i still dont trust the inner screen yet plus the size on it
Im able to upgrade through my phone service. I have a s22 ultra. I dont really take photos, or use the stylus. Im thinking about the fold cause i like the huge screen and i might be inclined to use the spen on the big screen. I think im going for the fold.
Help me out here. Currently have the s24u, but samsung has an amazing deal online for the fold6. Never owned a foldable phone.
Great video as always. Looking at both myself
Do it! I want to trade my s24 ultra and get the fold 6 for 350 plus tax.
How I wish the fold 6 has those bluetooth s pen that can slot inside the phone like ultra 24. The bluetooth pen can be used as a handy remote control for the camera. The one come with the case is just a normal s pen.
I have the s24 ultra love it but trading it in for the fold 6
A couple years back I used a S22U for work and a Fold 4 for personal. Now its opposite. S24U for personal and Fold 6 for work. Pocket tablet for a sales career is really nice. For personal id rather have the nicer camera for taking family photos. We also go to beach alot and you dont have to worry about a speck of sand getting in the hinge while stowed away in the beach bag. Happened to a fold 4, man was that crunchy sounding 😅
Good points. Definitely don't take the time to the beach. 😅🫠
My two phones are the S24 Ultra and OnePlus Open.
@@smartphonefan5226 nice combo
I bought the Fold 6 purely because I had the 5 and I watch movies and play games on it at work 😂
My fold4 inside screen went black but the outside still worked so i checked the fold6 and ultra so I decided to do the fold6.
Have had the S24 Ultra since launch. I skipped the Fold 5 for being to brick like. Now, why would I want a Fold 6?
I’m sure it would take way to long, but briefly fold 6 vs z Motorola fold vs one plus open?
Very nice video
No periscope zoom on Fold 6 is a deal breaker for me.
I got both, definitly pick the Z Fold6 and never look back.
vivo, oneplus open or honor v3 and i never look back to samsung 😁
@@nunosantos2015 No S-Pen support, no excellent software for foldables, no 7 years of software support and so on. Definitly Pick the Z Fold6 over those other brands.
@@bistduschlau9889 s pen is available on oneplus open but i don't care is useless for me in 2024, software on each of those in android 14 will be almost the same experience as samsung , 7 years update? no thanks i'm not using the same fold more than 2 years I prefer better battery, better camera, fast charge 100w, screen no crese, bigger cover screen as a normal phone , brighter display and thickness format and faster ram for cheaper price. samsung is far from there in this categories, i suggest you to rewatch some youtubers, oneplus open king in 2023 and vivo x fold 3 pro is already king in 2024👍 samsung is getting lazy and expensive like Apple, unfortunely samsung fold not worth 😒
Trade in right now for the s24 ultra is $1000, for the 1TB version aftsr s24 trade in is $1200 🤙🏽
That's a spicy meatbal 😂😂😂
Sure is!
My s22 ultra unfortunately broke randomly with a motherboard issue. Might go for fold 6 but a bit undecided due to astrophotography
I've had zfold 4, and zfold 5.... Now honestly thinking of going to s24ultra... The screen size difference isn't that huge, but the thickness is absolutely massive s24 felt amazing in my pocket... But still on the fence honestly thought I'd just get a tab S9 for replacing the work I do on the fold.
Why not getting one of those super slim chinese phone like the xiaomi for a change, cause they are super slim..
I had the Fold 3 and 4. I switched to the S24U and ended up missing my Fold after a couple of months, so I switched back to the Fold 6 this time. The phone feels light and not too thick, I'm really enjoying it.
I'm happy ❤😂❤ with s24U
@@viazel2796 it’s a great phone!
Did you hear about the battery drain issue with the watch for 7? Rumor is, they are working on a firmware update.
I had the fold 4 and I had to upgrade to the s24 ultra, I don't recommend the folding ones even if you take care of them (zero knocks and dust) they don't last more than 1 and a half years, the internal protective plastic lifts up and the hinge stops opening properly 😒
This video helped a lot , been a long time iPhone user and really wanting a new change and always loved the android platform
I got both.. Now I dont have to worry.
I have Fold 4 and I don't think I can ever go back to "normal" screen size. I've been spoiled 😅
currently approaching 8th month with my Fold 5. If the durability doesn't hold up for me, Ultra it is (or S24 + Galaxy Tab S9)
My 22 plus still works perfectly
Thanks for this video! I'm still trying to decide which way to go. 🤦♀️
@@susanjudd9325 you’re welcome. Hopefully it helps
if the inside is th primary screen. why does that selfie camera suck with the one on the outside being better.
The inside screen is the main screen. That doesn’t mean it’s the main camera. The main camera is on the back. The primary selfie is on the front and makes way more sense. Try taking a selfie with the phone open especially one handed
