I'm British,I can only dream of having the wildlife in my garden that USA has. I envy it so much. I have birds and bees and I love that. I do anything I can to draw nature into my garden. I was struggling to find interest in anything until my new garden project ❤❤

What a cutie ! At 70 years old I learned something new today. I really never have given it much thought, but I didn’t know porcupines climbed trees, I always thought that they were land dwellers. Chipmunks too, another land dweller, nope ! They climb trees too. This is a joke of course but my elderly mom said that she saw a rabbit in a tree, she got her animal names confused but it was so cute ! 🌺💚🙃
I love that the DODO helps people and animals out, or just sends them gifts. It's beautiful. Like the lady in this vid said, she wanted to be 'part of the action'. :o)
The one time I saw a porcupine in person was after my cousin's wedding in Italy (not a destination wedding, that's where she's from and where my mom is originally from). Another cousin was driving us back down the mountain to where we were staying when a pretty sizeable animal darted out in front of the van and essentially moseyed hurriedly across the road. It was dark and I'd had several glasses of vino, but from its shape, the only thing I could think of was a wild boar. I asked my cousin if that's what it was and when he corrected me, I realized I was surprised. I had never actively learned the word for porcupine in Italian but it's not exactly hard to suss out (porcospino). But I realized I really knew next to nothing about their habitat and where they would or wouldn't be located. The crested porcupine is what's native to that area, so the arch of its quills made it look bigger than it was and contributed to my boar guess. Anyway, even though it was brief, I always thought myself lucky to have seen one in the wild. If Alfred's Italian cousins also love fruit, they're in a great place for it, because I have never experienced more delicious fruit than in Italy.

All animals need kindness not just in the Wildlife. Although, in the Wild they are safer from humans.

We used to have an orange Tabby Cat who liked to roam free. One summer we noticed him hanging out with a Skunk! That went on for quite awhile.
