My dog is pretty old and sick right now, so I’ve been watching videos of animals with her. I know she probably doesn’t know what’s going on but she seems sooo happy when snuggling with me and looking at these big animals. (I hook RUclips up to the tv so she can see and hear better) I’ve watched this video probably 50 times with her, whenever she sees the big animals she wiggles her tail and starts sneezing like crazy. She hops in my lap and we just sit and watch. Thank you for these memories that I’ve been able to make with her! Love the video and keep up the good work!!
Really think that goose fall in love with him. I heard several times from gooses or swans who picked strange companion. one swan once fell in love with a pedal boat. I guess an old man is not stranger than that ;) Mario walks in front, hes jealous, all the stuff a male goose do with a (female) partner... Imo the whole early-life-stuff didnt applies to that particular goose. real speculative. Ill stick with mr. lover lover.
I could not have been that brave and I am a stupid fool for any animal. Hyenas r the only known mammal to kill each other IN UTERO. Swish that around in the old noggin. Tough doesn't even cover it.
The answer is so simple. Animals share some of the emotions and traits that humans have, because we are animals too. This just reinforces that all animals are individuals, however we will only learn about animals if we get close to them. And we can learn so much from them, I wish people would realize that.
When i was younger i lived on a farm near a huge patch of woods and one day i was getting off the school bus when i saw a coyote laying under a big tree we had on our front lawn and me being young and stupid i walked up thinking it was hurt, and it was! My dad used to put out traps to ward off wild animals in our yard and it had its back paw stuck in it, when i approached it i heard it whimpering so i instinctively stroked its side very gently and looked at its paw, after sitting their for a bit i took off the trap very carefully ( my dad taught us how to disarm them incase one of us or the dogs got caught) After i disarmed it the coyote got up and limped into the woods to nurse its leg back to health , after that it watched me get on and off the bus everyday and Once in a while it would allow me to stroke its side and muzzle, i named him Tukata and he would come to me/ bark/ howl everytime i called his name and i used to lay with him behind the barn. Sometimes we would just lay there and sometimes i would bring books and read to him, sing to him, and cuddle him until sunset then i would go inside and later at 10 or whatever he would howl for me. And in the summer on full moons we would howl together, I loved his howl so so much and i will never forget my little Tukata💜
All of the stories are amazing but the hippo story takes the Cake because: 1) it's the most dangerous of them all, and 2) the relationships is the most organic -- no fences, no gates, no Preserve, no Zoo, -- pure freewill. The hippo is both domesticated and wild; and has the intelligence and wherewithal to manage both.
Berni Albeno No, Truck Taxi is correct. Wild Hippos are actually quite a bit more dangerous than lions when it comes to human fatalities. Approximately 500 humans are killed each year by hippos, whereas around 100 people are killed yearly by lions.
@Tik-Tok Hopefully he was not talking about how many people are killed a year being the metric of dangerous animals since it is actually stated in the video. I assume he was referring to the fact that lions are better suited to killing people but there are just far far fewer lions then there are hippos and even more so far far fewer lions near human populations. Granted hippos are dangerous but deer in North America kill 120 people are year in the US (sure mostly by people hitting them with their cars but still they are the most dangerous animal by far in the US) I still think a lion is more designed to kill then a hippo. That all being said a charging hippo is still going to be much much faster then me and getting munched by those teeth sounds terrifying. edit: Sad fact is that even in the bush of Africa or the wilds of Alaska you are probably more likely to die of being killed by a human then an animal. We humans are still the most dangerous animal.
Corbae L it's not just about the number of fatalities. It's also because of their attitude. Lions will attack if you impeach on their Territory and happen to be cloee enough (they are lazy creatures). Hippos, on the other hand, and known to attack for little to no discernable reason. P.s. lions may be fewer but hippos are harder to find and approach.
I had a black house spider make a web in my window while it was broken, but a few days later it was fixed so no more moths could come in. I felt sorry for her, she was starving now that there wernt any moths - so i started feeding her beetles and slaters and stuff every few days. After a month or so she would run out of the dark hole of her nest when i came home after school. Id tap her on the head to let her know i had something (id tap the window if i didnt and shed go back inside) Shed hold her front four legs in the air to accept the beeyle or whatever straight from my fingers, drag it in - then come out with a gift: one body part of her last meal. Never the head though - she decorated the top of her web with those. Line them up and have them all facing the same way, i think to attract males? One day I gave her a smaller earwig and it pinched her leg really hard, until a drop of liquid came out. She dropped it and started nibbling her leg, then ran back inside to nurse it. From then on whenever i tried giving her an earwig, even if they were the only bugs around i could catch, she wouldnt take them - she was scared. Shed rather go hungry. She lived for 3.5 years- her whole lifespan - dying in her nest waiting for me to come home from school. I know its not an especially wild or crazy pet to have, but we were friends. I dont think bugs get rhe recognition they deserve as tiny little fearful animals.
This Is Amazing. Animals Have Souls Just Like We Do. The Only Difference Between Human Souls And Animal Souls Is That The Souls Landed In Different Bodies.
37:49 i'd tiptoe through the house as well if someone had a head mounted on their wall. I love this. With no language, the way we treat each other and what we do for one another is what makes animal friendships so great. Language often gets in the way of seeing that.

I loved our host on this beautifully produced video. Thankyou. So we’ll done. Her reactions were so appropriate, and normal under some pretty stressful situations (damn right I’d be up those stairs with a buffalo coming in the house!!!). Yet she went right in every time. Bravo!!!
When I was younger I befriended a coyote and I named him Bigs. About 5 years later I was working in the barn and Bigs brought me a pup because the mother had died from a hunter and he knew I would take care of the pup. Fast forward ten years and the pup is grown and living in the house like a normal dog, I named him Bandit because he stole my heart.
Ok literally you could just say you have a dog, we don’t need your highly impossible story about a coyote having human thoughts and realizing you would take care of a puppy with no mother, carrying that puppy all the way to you WITHOUT EATING IT, and then being completely friendly with you Sis Coyotes are intelligent PREDATORS that are known to attack pets like Puppies and Kittens, if the puppy was small enough for it to bring it to you, it would have eaten it. Let alone the fact that you claim the coyote 1) knew the mother died to hUnTeRs, and 2) had a human thought that you would take care of that puppy- sis REALLY?
When somebody breaks into your house and there's a polar bear sitting on your couch drinking a coca cola, watching a coca cola commercial. I think that person would let themselves out.
Relationships between humans and their animal counterparts have been a natural and necessary part of our existence on this earth as far back as history can recall, as it happens. How wonderful to see such beautiful bonds and to be reminded of our connection to the creatures who live here with us
Literally the most American thing is being a half blind, bull owner named RC Bridges and your buffalo is named Wildthing and you got a whole ass other head on wall to be like remember boy. This whole documentary thing is really cool
I love that story at the end. That’s how human beings and animals should be. Well, most animals anyway. It’s a true shame that that kind of relationship doesn’t exist a whole lot more.
One day when my teacher was absent a man substituted us he used to work at the zoo, back then they had polar bears (not anymore because it's super hot here) but he would feed everyday since it was his job & one day when he was feeding them he stepped on the ice wrong & slipped the whole where the water was it was super deep & if he fell he would have died from the impact, but the polar bear saved him the bear latched on his leg & pulled him off the edge, he had had to wait a while then he stood up & went to the hospital since he was bleeding a lot from the scratch, his scar is so deep but when he was telling us the story with a smile & he said he is forever grateful to that polar bear ❤️
Kevin, the guy with the Hyenas, is a wonderful person. He has bonds with so many different animals and dedicates his life to all of them. He also has a youtube channel called TheLionWhisperer!
I’m more impressed by the interaction between the fishermen and the dolphins. It’s more of a coordinated gesture of trust between two completely different species, both of them intelligent.
That was what I was thinking. It's so interesting to see different species hunting (of all things) together. They understand the predatory nature of human and still coordinate with them. This is so cool.
Arashi Kage they are playing the reason it hurts us is because we don’t have tough skin it’s just their way of playing around if we had tough skin like them it wouldn’t hurt us
Amazing stories of the depth of connection that can develop between humans and a diverse range of wild members of the animal kingdom! Quite extraordinary, that such intimate bonds can develop between wild creatures and humans! Thank you for sharing these wonderful stories with us!!! It gives one an entirely new perspective on what is possible between animals and people. That is inspiring for us all!
TerrenceJr Yes. Schools are purposely created to dumb us down. A Jew who has billions $ said it, also he said that schools are just daycares for us. By the time we graduate we have a fully developed brain but with crap education...he said. Look it up, I'm sorry ,I forgot the jew's name.
yep, i wouldn't call it love though more of a friendship the dolphins know the nets make it easier to eat fish and in return the fishermen get more fish in total win win
Animals really are intelligent, we sometimes forget that they feel and have emotions just like we do. The dolphins are very smart for sharing their fishing tricks.
@@es-lb4mw Yeah, we know, its just funny hearing the narrator say that RIGHT as he winces in pain. Irony is funny as hell. But yeah, what a awesome guy.
These bonds are both impressive and terrifying. My best friend has a similar relationship with multiple wild animals who come only to her. The fragility of wild like is not something most people should mess with. It is, however, incredible to observe when it happens on its own. My best friend has a connection to a female skunk who she nursed back to health after one of her legs was shot off. Now, despite being wild, she brings her babies every year to "show off" to my friend.
A axing and definitely frightening too, and despite everything accidents do happen!mainly the human part is hurt, of course, don’t know if that’s a consolation. After all “friendship or no we are invading their kingdom
Animals know. Ever hear if your a single woman with a dog, bring your date to meet the dog. If the dog don't like him, run lol. It's true. I take care of feral cats..seen some shit. They will let a possum eat their food and not fight or run but will fight each other and or run. It's crazy good stuff understanding animals
I will eat the absolute shit out of a deer back strap... Right after I just shot my gun in its torso then followed its blood tracks then gutted the fucking shit out of it. Then I'm gone fry the heart season that shit in some flower. Last I'm gone deep fry that bitch and enjoy the rest of my deer stored in my freezer.

44:00 I realized this video is old but it’s the first time I’ve seen it. However, I have been following Kevin for quite some time. Seeing him in this older video reminded me of just how long I’ve been watching him and just like with every individual that is living life, age happens. Kevin, the lions and the hyenas are all growing older gracefully. It’s amazing to be able to watch the journey they have been on. Without things like social media it wouldn’t be possible and I appreciate each and everyone for sharing with the rest of us. When it comes to people on the internet, some are determined to just be nasty and I imagine that isn’t always easy to deal with.
Today is the first time I've seen this video as well and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Was glad to see Kevin featured in the video as I've been following him for quite awhile now. He is truly amazing and the Lion Whisperer has become my favorite channel on You Tube.
@@kittensanddaisies5615 Kevin has done a lot of good work for the wild animals over there and it’s nice to see him and the rest of his crew get the recognition for it. He will have a lasting legacy for everything they have been able to do over the years
@BattlingRibbits no way. I've lived with cats my whole life and none of them were mean. They are just different from dogs with how they express their emotions. Cats don't attack randomly, they do give signals first but most people just don't know how to read them. Honestly, the only times I've been bitten or scratched by a cat was when I purposefully piss them off.
One thing that all these people understand is that these animals, despite their close relationships, they are still wild animals. they understand that they aren't taming or domesticating the animals. They have tested the limits and know the boundaries of what they can do and what they can't
The relationships and stuff are all good but what astonishes me the most is how brave the host, Liz is. Wild or not, it's never easy to walk up to an animal and reach out with your hand to pet it within a few minutes. Even common pet dogs can become nightmares to strangers who walk up and try to pet them, let alone a full sized lion. Worth applause
Yes, scavengers, but they'll ``scavenge'' anything weak. And, I guess it goes to figure that something with such a range of vocalizations would be intelligent. They'd be able to communicate well with each other.
Hyenas are highly intelligent animals. I know this is complicated but the only way a species survives as “scavengers” in the wild is by being very intelligent. Actively hunting prey when you have the strongest bite in the world is somewhat senseless.
27:21 Good save by Lazmi right there, truly shows how well she knows the behavior of the lions she cares for. That male lion was about to go right for Liz's hand and she knew right away and stopped him.
@Villain heroes couldn’t kill what the hell are u talking about? These are wild animals that above all else react to their instincts and would have no problem turning on their handlers.
@ Christos Antonopoulos your dog isn’t a 1000 lb polar bear or a several hundred pound hyena... these animals could literally kill u with one blow and as I said in my other comment their WILD animals that go off of their instincts. It’s still in their genetics unlike your dog which has been DOMESTICATED over thousands of years.
interviewer: “how is it possible that you could have such a close relationship with essentially wild animals” lion: *gets close to her hand* lady who you calling wild PERFECT TIMING😭
Well done. I really enjoyed this documentary. One thing I've realized is that none of these human-animal relationships involve hostility. Like the way humans have "broken" horses. Or, any of the other ways humans have "trained" animals with whips and chairs, and other hostile means. I've always been a fan of the real Horse Whisperer, especially after reading a book about him. Thanks for this.
"The dolphins are telling the fishermen how to fish" so basically the dolphins are telling the fishermen how to kill their fellow sea residents you gotta do what you gotta do to get rid of an annoying roommate
A dolphin is not a fish, they are mammals just like us. As a species they can relate more to us humans then to fish...however, they do share habitat with fish..so the roommate thing might be true..lol
Okay, humans do have superpowers. It's called Animal whispering. A woman that can lay with lions A man that can calm a buffalo A man that can run with hyenas What a wonderful life they have, to experience such amazing animals.
All humans have super powers. Super endurance.. We're incredibly difficult to kill. Super sight, we see in 5,000 colors, most animals don't even get 2,000. Super accuracy. We can throw things, and actually hit them. Elephants have shit accuracy, so do monkeys, they can't hit the broad side of a barn without some luck.

I guess an old man is not stranger than that ;)
Mario walks in front, hes jealous, all the stuff a male goose do with a (female) partner... Imo the whole early-life-stuff didnt applies to that particular goose. real speculative. Ill stick with mr. lover lover.
When that Hyena got called adorable by her, it looked legitimately happy.
I could not have been that brave and I am a stupid fool for any animal. Hyenas r the only known mammal to kill each other IN UTERO. Swish that around in the old noggin. Tough doesn't even cover it.

Hands down this is the best video I’ve ever seen on RUclips, maybe anywhere.
The answer is so simple. Animals share some of the emotions and traits that humans have, because we are animals too. This just reinforces that all animals are individuals, however we will only learn about animals if we get close to them. And we can learn so much from them, I wish people would realize that.
Truth
True we have a spine so we are mammals

Strait facts
This is just so real
When i was younger i lived on a farm near a huge patch of woods and one day i was getting off the school bus when i saw a coyote laying under a big tree we had on our front lawn and me being young and stupid i walked up thinking it was hurt, and it was! My dad used to put out traps to ward off wild animals in our yard and it had its back paw stuck in it, when i approached it i heard it whimpering so i instinctively stroked its side very gently and looked at its paw, after sitting their for a bit i took off the trap very carefully
( my dad taught us how to disarm them incase one of us or the dogs got caught)
After i disarmed it the coyote got up and limped into the woods to nurse its leg back to health , after that it watched me get on and off the bus everyday and
Once in a while it would allow me to stroke its side and muzzle, i named him Tukata and he would come to me/ bark/ howl everytime i called his name and i used to lay with him behind the barn.

Truck Taxi AMAZING right
Truck Taxi
Um thats not true hippos arent dangerous of all of the lions are
Berni Albeno
No, Truck Taxi is correct. Wild Hippos are actually quite a bit more dangerous than lions when it comes to human fatalities. Approximately 500 humans are killed each year by hippos, whereas around 100 people are killed yearly by lions.
@Tik-Tok
Hopefully he was not talking about how many people are killed a year being the metric of dangerous animals since it is actually stated in the video.
It’s adorable how Jessica opens her mouth for them to throw in the food when she’s finished chewing
Id tap her on the head to let her know i had something (id tap the window if i didnt and shed go back inside)
Shed hold her front four legs in the air to accept the beeyle or whatever straight from my fingers, drag it in - then come out with a gift: one body part of her last meal.

@BattlingRibbits no way. I've lived with cats my whole life and none of them were mean. They are just different from dogs with how they express their emotions. i always think about the people filming. I feel sorry for them if they scared.

Me too!
They pay them good for the risks 🎥👍🏼
Lobao Samson i feel bad for them "if" they are scared. And if not that's good.
justonegirl Is there any protection for them, because they are risking there lives doing this .🤕😰
Okay, humans do have superpowers. It's called
Animal whispering.
A woman that can lay with lions
A man that can calm a buffalo
A man that can run with hyenas
What a wonderful life they have, to experience such amazing animals.
You didn't mention the goose
What about the man with the goose dont forget
@@tomhill3248 humans arent hard to kill
@@tomhill3248 we are also very good at killing
My exboyfriend says how he has this bond with my pet fish. When we broke up, he took my fish
