I put a simple solar setup in my ambulance RV. 2 100 watt panels and 2 100ah agm batteries. Runs my fridge, 12v stuff and diesel heater. I put up another 180 watt panel to charge my additional power stations I have. All around $500 bucks !!
Nice! There all types of systems out there; I found this to be the simplest, easiest plug n play system anyone could setup and use with the least amount of hassle possible
@@gotinybefree when I installed ‘norm’ solar system at the time, power stations were still expensive. I only had a Jackery 240 and that was over $300 at the time and their largest power station. Now, I have purchased a couple 1000w and 500w power stations. I have some portable solar panels as well. Great tiny home development. Coming along great. Still something w/ a tiny house that I’m considering somewhere.
I’m sorry, but buying the manufacturers solar panels is a rip off! You can do better by buying your own panels and putting them together in series parallel.
Any solar panels will work with this setup. If you can find them cheaper, just need to keep the voltage below 100 and total watts under 1000 for the delta 2 max. Simplest way is to use their own panels but any panels can work!
I didn't get solar with the RJO special and wish I would have! Is your set up something I can do in mine myself or do I need an electrician? I don't know anything about solar or changing panel box. I won't be living in mine, only vacation use
This solar setup is super simple. Right now I just have the wires for the solar panels coming in through the window with a towel to keep a decent window seal. But you just connect the panels to solar generator and then just plug in whatever devices you want to power also into the solar generator. And it will tell you how long you’ve got before the battery dies as the charge and load changes. Brilliant and simple. And you can also recharge it off the grid or your car 12v outlet. But rewiring the panel from the 30amp cord to the solar generator is easy, takes 5 min (but you won’t be able to use your water heater unless you get a larger solar generator, the EcoFlow delta pro with the 30amp outlet (then you can just plug that straight into the back of the unit, through the window or whatever; plus larger battery size). Hope that helps!
Hi Hans, Solar generators are the way to go.. That's exactly my plan for my next home. Hopefully, it will be a tiny home. I am not there yet. I am working to fulfill my tiny home community living dream!!!!
Yes, so much easier than having to piece together separate units and pieces and make sure they all work together and then try to figure out what actual power you have at any given time... Awesome Gloria, let me know if I can help you in reaching your dream! #GoTinyBeFree :)
Hey Catherine, I detail out the whole system I have in the video and options to add to it or scale down, it's all spelled out. Here's the link to the blog post with the full details of the system from the video: GoTinyBeFree.com/solar
I love the simplicity of it. Plug and play system is awesome because I'm no electrician.
One less thing to have to think about lol, just plug it in and it works. Simple! :)

Why choose Eco Flow vs Anker? Which one is better?
I’m not familiar with Anker solar Generators, so I couldn’t tell you but I’ve had good experience with EcoFlow

Great Demo!
Thanks!
Good information for power source. Thank you for sharing. You made it sound pretty simple.
You are welcome! Wanted to provide a simple solution that's working great for me
Great video. Thank u for breaking it done for us that don't understand about solar panels...
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks
Welcome! :)
Hi Hans, 😊 How much does this all cost?
