Finally someone who leaned into the idea of the metal panels ,and went steam punk. I always thought to myself that if I had one of these I would decorate the way you have . The pipe lamp with the gage is amazing .

I *Love* the Steam Punk look !! The pipes for kitchen shelves, and coat hangers, gears, clocks, lamps, leather cabinets pulls, shower and regular curtain rods, little steam punk man/light…. I could go on and on. The old panels fit right in with the Steam Punk look. Everything looks amazing !! The SProcket ⚙️ D@mn your good !!
Haha thanks! My wife helped with the decor, she has the eye for that kind of thing, so I won't take credit for all that but all the pipes and *functional* gauges just made sense with the offgrid and metal panels and all...

I should also add, this is the original Incred-I-Cottage (not the newer 2.0 with the 2-5/8” thick seamless panels), it has the visible fastener heads exposed and the slightly thinner steel panel walls & ceiling. The $35,000 version mentioned for phase 1 at The Cottages at Pine Lake is for the Incred-I-Box 2.0 version…

There's got to be a better solution to put all those controls into another built cabinet, as to not loose much needed storage.
Same thing with all those components sticking out everywhere.

Thanks! That cabinet was put in there specifically for the offgrid solar charge controller and components; on-grid versions don’t have a cabinet. The batteries are up top in the loft which rarely is used (thinking of adding a maid’s cabinet up there next to the batteries). I’m also thinking of replacing the futon with a full-sized bed with good storage under the bed as well. Thanks for your comment!

Good ideas....all the iron pipe theme, but I don't like the gadgets for the off grid out in the open gathering dust. I would rather have them enclosed and out of sight..
I understand that, but wouldn't picture as well if all the *functional" decor was hidden behind cabinets ;) If it weren't setup for an airbnb, would be nice perhaps to have all the controls in one spot that could be tucked away and just opened up when needing to check on something. I’m looking for a dehumidifier that will drain outside. Where did you purchase yours?
Why would one prefer a metal roof over wood? Wouldnt it be noisy during rain and get hotter inside?
These new panels are 2-5/8" thick, nothing but closed cell foam insulation so they're very well insulated (my shipping container on the other hand does get very hot on the inside, before fully insulated anyway). I can't remember if you can hear the rain in my spROCKET Incred-I-Box on the roof or not, though the panels in this home (version 1.0) are thinner as well. And I don't believe with these homes you can choose any other type of roof, they come through the factory all the same way. The Incred-I-Cottage though does have an option I believe for a premium wood shingle roof.

It was actually harder to make then it looks, and I bolted it down in place so that he wouldn't accidently "walk off" with a guest who also really like it lol... But parts alone it was probably $150, you can probably find someone who could make one cheaper with smaller pipe and parts. But I appreciate the compliment!

Hope this isn't such a rude question, but taking their version, them outfitting it for off grid... how much did the off-grid enhancements actually cost?? No worries, if I remember correctly, I believe it was around $7500 to convert it to fully off-grid capable (gas water heater, rain collection & water filter & pump, waterless toilet, solar system). Incredible Tiny Homes offers offgrid as an option

What type battery and how are they used? Im new to off grid living
This home has 2x 5kWh lithium ion batteries with about 1400 watts worth of solar panels and a 3000w solar charge controller. So the system runs off the batteries and has grid backup so if it gets too low (too much usage or not enough sun), the grid can charge the batteries back up.
Never stay in house without bathroom door.
How do you hang things on your walls with the metal? What do you use?
You just need the right screws, self tapping metal screws

The vents for the ERV / air exchanger? It required a 4” round hole; Home Depot sells a tool that is essentially a drill bit on a protractor that cuts out a circle, pretty neat. You can adjust the size of the hole from 2” diameter to 6” I believe. Even. Cut through the bottom of my other tiny houses’ 1/4” bottom metal plate! I’ll see if I can find that for you…

This Incred-I-Box was completed in Nov of 2022, the old-style panels. It has the offgrid options so came with the on-demand water heater (which was out of sight, behind my dehumidifier above the microwave

LOL zero storage. For a tiny kid or teenager for $35k that's a joke!
Tiny house living is not for everyone, that is for sure! But where else can you get this kind of durability and functionality for that price? Try it before you knock it! But its true, its not for everyone! (and there is a storage loft over the bathroom; plus I added that ottoman with storage, and you could have additional storage under the bed, you just have to get creative! :)
These are DIY so you can do the lay out according to your own needs.

I live in one of these and I have created all kinds of storage. I also have a dishwasher and a washing machine, and a microwave/convection/air fryer. All the modern conveniences in a compact home with no electricity bill. Works well for me!
