It’s a great deal !! Can’t wait to see it decorated.Happy for the owner. God Bless your tiny community. 🙏🏻🇺🇸🤗🥰
Thanks for the information. However, a bit hard to hear you with the background music as load as it is.
Wonderful tour Hans ., thank you !
There will be a bifold barn door on the bathroom. That is a 2.0 door.
Are you the owner ? If so congratulations! Can't wait to see what you do with it! How are you going to get to the loft? Ladder?
@australianwoman9696 yes, I will have a custom ladder that will be stow away. That loft will be storage and guest bedroom.
Thank you. Hope things are going well. I’m excited to see this house on its permanent lot.
I can't wait to see what you do with it. People get so creative and its fun to watch.
Nice!!!😊🎉❤
It will be nice to see the lake lots fill up.👍
Thank you, Hans for the home tour. I can’t wait to get there… it’s going to be longer than what Randy originally projected, frustrating to have to wait…
Can't wait to see it decorated ❤😊
That is so funny. I just bought 2 rain chains.
I can't wait until I get there
A gas flame 1.5” away from the wood electrical cover seems a tad dangerous 🙄
What is with the mini split cord going down the home on the outside? That doesn’t look right!!
Lots of people have installed a bifold door on the bathroom...
Nice
Thank you for the tour. It looks great.
This looks awesome, I am so happy for you and I am excited to see all the updates you make it yours.
These have been sold for a long time now. I could not look at those screws day in & out. I would need all those appliances closed in with doors. Big farm sink. Sink in the bath with either a pocket or barn door to separate. I'd get one of the stick houses, but the new 3ft panel do look alot better but don't like the floor plan. The cottage had nicest floor plan but would want that wider & longer..
I would like the home sitting there east and west direction!!
I would put better gutters on!!
@@DSJ72 - They are custom made gutters to fit the size of the home.
I hate to keep complaining but what is going on with the wood trimming to the tan? I don’t think anyone inspected this home!
@DSJ72 I had Brian inspect it and Will. Dan brought the house to Alabama for me inspected it too. I am sorry my house does not meet your expectations, but I knew it is a shell that I needed to finish. I hope you will follow the coming videos to see what I do with it.
What does RJO in this case mean
That wood trim to hide electric is odd at the ceiling fan. Also the trim in the kitchen backsplash just stops midway. Those could be done better. Looks unfinished?
It is not a finished product. None of these are. I will be matching the wood with another piece to mirror it. It will then be painted. The kitchen back board will be trimmed in white and then backsplash added. That backboard will be stained just like the butcherblock.
@@francesn33 - Sounds lovely 😍
@@francesn33 That sounds nice! I love that little house and am glad it will be more finished. It will make a sweet home. We are considering the Cottages ourselves. It is looking like a lovely community.
I agree. ITH had them coming out of some mini splits too. Also if they need those covers, they should make them out of the same material as the wall panels. That would keep them fireproofed to safely house electrical wiring!🤔
That model is not an RJO
I believe ITH refers to it as the American Dream, which is the 8x24 double dormer incred box
The RJO model, the bathroom & kitchen are parallel
Randy started calling these RJO too. But you're right the original RJO does have kitchen and bathroom parallel
Agree... more pride could be taken into these...I don't care if it's 25k or not, that's still a chunk of change....
Could at least make it look esthetically pleasing...
These are only affordable to those who can or have the extra $ to finish it out if they are physically fit & know how to if not youll have to pay more to get it looking halfway decent (wonder how much extra do you think that'll be?)
These homes are however perfect for solution for the homeless in all areas of the country.❤
They should start targeting cities.
Please stay tuned for how I make it esthetically pleasing. The name of the home will be revealed. I am not homeless, but I do love my little home.
They can no longer get the remnant door panels, but I love the idea of repurposing all that steel and closed cell spray foam to keep it out of the landfill, and provide affordable homes for people who are able to add a little sweat equity to polish and customize it. ❤ Enormous storage loft, too!
I will Ms. Frances, glad you are able to finish it out to your liking..
These types of "unfinished" tinies for the total of just the asking price is & would be a blessing for so many unhoused people in all walks of life though.
(If only our government would truly help to end all this)
@@francesn33congrats, I hope to see all the wonderful things you do with it
Just because i could buy a " Birmingham" etc, doesn't mean i will , I can have one of these "etc" finished out any way i choose, still have Change for the bank, The "Tiny " Way was intended to simplify n free up time n money to live better , eat good , Travel , or not , , Fla Ted
Good video. When do you think you’ll have rental property ready?
No stairs put in😮😮😮😮😢😢
Smart move on getting on demand hot water
You really need to check into getting some air exchangers to prevent mold build up...
And spray foam insulate the underbelly.
@streetsmartintelligent I will have a custom ladder that will cost 1/3 of the cost of the stairs, and that loft is for guests, not my bedroom
@francesn33
That's good. I saw a tiny house under 28k a 2-1, they had a stand up catwalk connecting both lofts which were stand up, but the most interesting were these heavy weights attached to cables with a seat to access the lofts...
@streetsmartintelligent I have to be careful with what I build. There are no roof rafters or headers in these types of homes. There will be a cottage feel to this home. There will either be cut curtains to hide the hot water or a custom door. This is a work in progress. I will not use spray foam because of the chemicals. I am in a temperate climate, so I want ventilation and a barrier more. I will have ventilation.
@francesn33
Same her with the chemical aspect, I said spray foam as a generalized statement. There is a rubberized type of solution that's made from only used rubber tire pieces & saw dust.
Hiding your hot water heater check with door-blind companies and lowes, getting louver doors cut to size would look nice.
@@streetsmartintelligent - This home already has closed cell spray foam insulation under the floor deck. It's well insulated and won't be driven on the road. It'll be set up on this property with skirting added.
Looks like the ac on outside is so high, a pain to service?
The music during this video was extremely annoying! Could barely hear you!
Still talking too fast!
Looks unfinished with nails in the walls.
Appliances?
Ugly
Basically a blank slate for the homeowner to decorate to their liking. Homeowners know choose what style/model they want. ITH has built very basic complete homes to large extravagant tiny homes. Look back through years of videos. 😊
@janiceduvall9320 I paid cash for a DIY. I am sorry It does not please you. I have paid for my appliances and they will be delivered 7/12. I Have to paint first. Nothing will be finished until all painting inside and out is completed. I would not pay 75 to 160k for a tiny home ever. I felt comfortable with my budget and adore this community. I hope coming videos will change your mind.
A litho large scale mural sized scenery (much like wallpaper) would hide screws half way up the walls, stucco or pebble the rest with an accentuated color.
Large mirrors work wonders, took a wardrobe mirror from Walmart, buildt up a plaster Paris thick frame around it, painted it to match my color theme, placed LED lights behind it.
Many many things can be done, if one has the physical abilities & the money.
@@francesn33 I am sure you will make this home look beautiful! I wish I could get a DIY home but I know nothing about that stuff. Can't wait to see what you do with it! Please let him do another tour when it is completed!
This house looks horrible inside!! The plugs are put in wrong up in the loft, they should of ran the backsplash the whole length of counter in the kitchen, in the ceiling in the living room ceiling board should of ran the whole length of the ceiling! That is just a few problems that looks terrible in this home!! I would be so pissed!!!
@@DSJ72 I am not mad. I am fine. I knew that there would be adjustments. I will be making many improvements. I can make it just the way I want. That is the beauty of it. I have no mortgage. I will pay 300 rent. My utilities and insurance combined are less than 200. I am happy. I am sorry you do not like my home. Maybe you will like it better once I have completed my plans.
@@DSJ72 - This home was customized for the owner who has her own plans for decorating it. What you call a backsplash is not a backsplash. It's a chute for the electrical wiring. The owner has plans to extend that and install a backsplash. She's got some great ideas for how to finish this home out to make it hers, and I can't wait to see it all come together. 😀 I'm excited for her❣️
That rjo look like it was a rush job did not like it.😢
It's an inexpensive diy👍
@davidwolfe7777
Really?
Inexpensive to cover up all those screws & bent flashing at ceiling line, guess it depends what's used to conceal it. (Ie...wood strips would be too costly)
Build a U shaped bed against window, raise the floor (deep storage underneath) RV table in the center raises up & down OR Install room divider/ closet
Starving artist style "stain glass" all windows half way up
Close up conceal all that stuff under the counter overhang
Install open cabinets & pull out pantry
Rip out one piece shower, install soaking tub/overhead rain head
Lay down ceramic floor tiles
Appliances!
Outside lighting
It's gonna cost quite a bit more....
@@streetsmartintelligent Really, I would love to put some sweat equity into one of those. It's not for everyone though. In an ideal world we would all have 3 or 4 beds and as many baths. I know people that are living in a van or car because they can't afford a flipping studio apartment that's 1200 and up. They would love one of those RJO's.
@@streetsmartintelligent is that what you did with the one you bought?
@francesn33
Yes & much more...😊
Look forward to see your style & vision.
(May I ask a question of you? You sound like your fairly young-in good shape to do all the painting yourself)
** Me, a senior in body, still young in mind😂..
My styles "my own" with alittle: bohemian-eccentric-hippie😊
