I've always had a soft spot for the Jumbo in WT, it's not OP as such. Just it's fun to know at the tier you play at nothing can pen your front armour. The 75mm can’t do damage but it doesn't matter. You can get loads of points for tanking shells.

Probably because you meet marders or pumas at 2.3 if you get up tiered to 2.7
And the B1 has more problems penetrating panzers and also BT-7s are a big threat if they shoot your driver hatch in the bis

b1 is now 2.3 which means in full uptier it gets yeeted by t34s

The thing that gets me is when I don’t shoot the barrels of jumbos to be nice and then they shoot mine.
No point doing it in an IS tank, they can barely pen your side at close range.
@@dti1312 If I see an IS tank in my Jumbo, I just shoot the cupola. A good hit there will get at least two crew, sometimes all 3 turret crew and oneshot it. The sides, especially with magic russian tracks and sprocket wheels are arguably more difficult than the front sometimes.
Glandolin you just have to hope you shoot first. Is-2s eat this thing for breakfast. I don’t even think I’ve been killed by a jumbo or any Sherman as an is-2, usually I die from air attack or the Germans

according to "ze internet", the B29 stalling speed with closed flaps is 165-233 kph, with full flaps it goes down to 135-191 kph, depending on how much the plane is loaded (total weight between 70.000# and 140.000#)
with 98 minutes of fuel and no bombs, the plane is loaded to about 78.000# (that is dry weight with 653 gal of AvGas), which gives us a stalling speed of under 177 kph with flaps closed, and under 143 kph with full flaps
no wonder it wouldn't land at 240+

I like it when a hetzer rams my jumbo at the front thinking that I won't be able to pen it while I laugh and load APCR looking down on it's slooped ass front plate that basically became 90 degree

BTW that FW190 only had 2x 20mm cannons, which were probably firing Tracers.
I've flown that aircraft, and DANG it can't one-shot planes like its other Fw 190's can (4x 20mm + 2x 7.92mm).

The 76 Jumbo is a Tiger killer and remarkably stealthy given the number of times they've been able to elude my teammates, sneak around, and kill.

One thing most people fail to mention about the Jumbo is that it is a walking box of vulnerabilities. You got the easy MG port and then if that is not enough, most tanks can bounce rounds on your tracks and just kill you with just about anything. Whether you angle or not angle does not matter, if a round can ricochet in, it will pen you. Angling just makes it easier actually as the slimmer inner side armour is more exposed. Most tanks can just still pen you frontally while you cannot do the same.
Meanwhile, the alternative heavy tanks do not have such compromising weaknesses. Plus they tend to have better armour and gun, plus not be a walking box with a billion of places to kill and disable with a single shot that may not require precision targeting.

It stomped at 4.7 back when you had a good chance of an uptier (where you could tank but at a disadvantage) or a downtier (where you tended to dunk) it now basically exclusively fights in uptiers. Really should be at 5.0 with the 76 version at 5.7.

Hey here’s an easy trick to take out a hetzer from the front:
Aim for the space between where the track/suspension connects to the hull, if your gun has enough depression and a nice explosive filler it’s a ~1-2 shot kill.

I once had a Jumbo bounce an APCBC shell off the Panther’s gun mantlet, fly straight down, and kill the entire crew. Even after looking at the shot simulator I still couldn’t replicate what happened. I’m not even mad at this point, just impressed.

I found that the Jumbos weakspot is its tracks. Just aim for centre of mass in between the tracks, or aim for the front drive wheel and an ammo shot is gauranteed.

The Jumbo was OP, but a lot of tanks that can hurt it have been added and BR changes. It is strongest when not uptiered and at medium ranges.
Bruh the SC1800 is unreasonably good at taking out aircraft. I got 3 air kills with it in ground RB in a matter of 2 hours while using the Ju-188.

My experience with the Jumbo is usually a KV2, or a king tiger boring straight through my tank from 2Km. For some reason I am up-tiered in 120% of my games.
