I love how A7X is one of the most hated bands of the genre yet they manage to release some of the most experimental music of the mainstream bands in the first two singles of their new album. Personally I think both are great and exciting, can't wait for the release of the whole album. Also they said the album was heavily influenced by psychedelics, which I can totally believe xd

@PhantomColette it's just that there are more people who do not listen to metal and rock and they just assume they are all the same shit, Metal and rock hasn't been major since the early 2000s due to basically hip hop and rap and pop/country are the mainstream meal tickets now a days. Sadly we probably never will see anything close to the 80s to early 2000s again with how degenerative our culture has become.

Of all the songs so far, I think "Game over" has gotta be my favourite. Very weird stuff, in the best way possible. The only way I can describe it is very punk and very theatrical. There's a line in the lyrics "and here I swing from my family tree" that absolutely blew my mind. And also "I don't belong here, anymore" that I really felt.
When I first heard this song, the first thing I thought of was the joker/crazed person driving round town, brain high and buzzed out, everything is spinning out in insanity and utter chaos. What a sound to mimic the crazy, fast and chaotic world we live in now.

@VitorGMarinho that's completely subjective. To me the stage is great and the two singles we've had off this record are great two. You might disagree.... Because it's completely subjective.
Yeah... but Metallica actually changed a lot through the years. Don’t tell me Kill ’em all sounds exactly like St Anger, or AJFA or Reload, or even 72 seasons
It's not a very similar song, but if you're looking for more Avenged Sevenfold, you have to check out Coming Home. It's an amazing song, and it has one of, if not the absolute best guitar solos they've ever made.
This song is pure chaos! Love to see haters getting butthurt over this song! This one really is a middle finger to all elitists. Can't wait to hear full album!
Ever since Remenissions, I always knew A7X would head into a direction eventually to release their full creativity. This is the ONE and ONLY band, I've stuck with and love throughout each new album they put out. I love that they have so many influences and want to try everything, everything they wanted to try. Go nuts, Go berserk, do you, live life, don't listen to anybody else and just love what you do. This album is going to be amazing. I'm seeing them in a month at MSG, so freaking excited!
So, quick suggestion, it's a song by Smash Into Pieces It's a band I just recently fully started listening to, but their best song imo is easily Save it For the Living. If you want a song that's less so break down and cry your eyes out, but more energetic and upbeat, Boomerang definitely fits that bill and is one of their most popular
This is one wild song, I think it makes a lot more sense with the story behind it and sonically it does match up. Not gonna lie, the part at 4:33 when you jumped is freaking hilarious, I had pretty much the same reaction first time listening 😂
I think when you asked “is there a deeper meaning to the switches and stuff” I think there is…they are playing homage to the styles of genuine music that came before them…and it’s a little bit of a satirical play on the 40 seconds attention span we have as an audience now a days.
A full album reaction would be great! I also think even if you don’t make videos out of each, you should really go back and listen to they’re older albums to see how they switch things up album to album. It’ll really show you how little sense there is in the “cookie cutter” hate.
damn, this is very experimental. Metalbirb is right when he said that the fans were gonna be polarized with this album, either they're really gonna dig it, or they're gonna hate it like how The Stage was received. i am down for them experimenting and trying new things, forever and always, but idk if it's my bag yet.
I don’t know if people tell you this a lot, but I straight up laugh out loud at your jokes and commentary all the time, it’s genuinely funny. Also YESSSS to album reaction!
STOP SLEEPING ON SOAD: SYSTEM OF A DOWN MIND and War? (Audios, not music videos) also DONT SLEEP on Slipknot underrated hidden songs: Three Nil, The Blister Exists (also audios)
I took the message of the song as the band. "Build higher, Build wide" could mean the aspersions of the band and " we love you" is A7X saying that they love us the fans
It mimics the human nature for more and more. The beginning is reminiscent of a mother singing a lullaby to their child telling them they can be anything they want to be. that they are inherently perfect. Then society and human nature kicks in and its the duality of Greed and being content.

Avenged sevenfold is different every album. 😈😈😈
I think when you asked “is there a deeper meaning to the switches and stuff”
I think there is…they are playing homage to the styles of genuine music that came before them…and it’s a little bit of a satirical play on the 40 seconds attention span we have as an audience now a days.
Most corporations are only fixated on making money instead of making a product that will benefit the customer
It's a combo of Mr. Bungle's California and the Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny Albums
Drums are super-tight…love Brooks 🙌🏻
Too bad the producer can't produce his drums properly
A full album reaction would be great! I also think even if you don’t make videos out of each, you should really go back and listen to they’re older albums to see how they switch things up album to album. It’ll really show you how little sense there is in the “cookie cutter” hate.
damn, this is very experimental. Metalbirb is right when he said that the fans were gonna be polarized with this album, either they're really gonna dig it, or they're gonna hate it like how The Stage was received. i am down for them experimenting and trying new things, forever and always, but idk if it's my bag yet.
The VR (interactive) version of this song/video is a literal trip. Y'all all should check that out too.
this song has grown on me tremendously i hated it at first and thought wtf they doing? now i love it 🫡
I don’t know if people tell you this a lot, but I straight up laugh out loud at your jokes and commentary all the time, it’s genuinely funny.
Also YESSSS to album reaction!
Need that full album review big dog!
Full album reaction, do it brother
Big time Slayer vibe on that middle thrash part and solo.
STOP SLEEPING ON SOAD: SYSTEM OF A DOWN MIND and War? (Audios, not music videos) also DONT SLEEP on Slipknot underrated hidden songs: Three Nil, The Blister Exists (also audios)
Up
Lets hope shadows protects his voice this time round
I have Sieze the day tattooed on my arm, my all time favorite metal band oat
I took the message of the song as the band. "Build higher, Build wide" could mean the aspersions of the band and " we love you" is A7X saying that they love us the fans
Loved the Old Gregg appearance at the beginning 😂
It mimics the human nature for more and more. The beginning is reminiscent of a mother singing a lullaby to their child telling them they can be anything they want to be. that they are inherently perfect. Then society and human nature kicks in and its the duality of Greed and being content.
The album it self is written to be listened in order. This song feels like a small piece to the picture
That intro was like three metal-ized lounge songs playing at different tempos.
This album will be epic!
FULL ALBUM LETS GO
“What grows?”
“MAH DIYUKUH”
💀💀💀
I tweeted that the song is like ADHD put to music. Syn Gates agreed 👍🏼😂
Omg. That freaking shirt! 😂 Poor Dylan. 🤣
