This is an overall guide, me as an ice wizard I would tell there are a lot of things better. At level 74 you would like the avalon robe because it gives you the same stats as waterworks but better plus you would tank all the fire and storm bosses which are the highest damage bosses. And at level 100 you would prefer the exhalted duels for the hat and the robe. Boots are pretty similar to Malistaire ones, so it doesn't care a lot. And at level 56 you can craft some good things. And at level 58 with ice there's a bazaar robe that gives good stats (for ice) and a crazy ton of defense. 17% is a freaking lot. I don't remember if there was also a hat and boots. And the level 56 athame and ring that gives you damage. And I don't remember which, if athame or ring, are dropped at level 76 and 86 that gives you a nice amount of stats. Everything else I think is just nice
Dude seriously. I'm farming exalted duels for gear. I got the krok hat. The best shoes without a grind is Lydia's. The wolf Lance athame in darkmoor. The ring from the 3rd part of darkmoor in graveyard with gold key. And any triple double pet orrrrr a crit, triple damage, and spell defy and just add a damage jewel and you'll be around 140 damage 70 defense, and about 600 critical, the defense makes up so much for the damage you don't get like with fire or storm.
Don’t have anything against this guy but no it isn’t. Blaze shows alternatives like crafted gear in the worlds (Wintertusk, Avalon, Khyrysalis). Just respectfully stating my opinion not looking to argue.
Funny story, as a level 40 something I did Mount Olympus about a week after it came out. It was 2 level 30ish players, a level 90, and my ice. The level 90 agreed to carry us but only if we could do the secret boss. We definitely struggled but we eventually beat him. I got the Alpha and Omega Ring but had no use for it so I stuck it in my bank because I didn't know what it was.

The level 56 crafted gear from Wintertusk is similar to waterworks and gives good cards. If you don’t want to farm, they are easily craftable. Also, some schools use Rattlebones and/or Krokopatra exalted robe and hat instead of darkmoor. Also storm’s best robe is still darkmoor, not the good key boss.

Zackary Moore no lol. That is literally ONLY useful for pvp. You can get max critical on Storm, Fire, Myth without it via Catacombs gear so there’s no reason to use it for pve. Even without the 1% critical, the blades and health are just so much more useful for pve.

All shane gives is more pierce. 100+ more health cancels out that 1% resist. 2% pierce is not worth the loss of over 100 health and 2 incredibly useful cards.

I also remember coming back for a little bit when level 90 was out and kinda figured waterworks gear was still the best, and you basically confirmed that in this vid. Great video man
Ok, some things this video missed... In the first part of Darkmoor, there is a door locked with a gold key, the chest behind that door can give you an upgraded version of the necklace that lets you spend power pips on your off-school spells. Stat wise it's not as strong as Morganth's necklace, but being able to cast a Kuthulu TC as a Balance, does have its advantages. Also the Krokopatra, and Rattlebones Exalted duels give a hat, and robe respectively, that are as good as the Shadow Malistair gear.
We need more updated videos!! Especially when most of the videos based on this topic and others plus with new players coming in this will help them a ton!

Great guide! One thing I think you'll probably need to include is the rat (final boss of polaris). He drops the best defensive/jade amulet in the game, and he also drops a really great wand upgrade for every school if you're lucky enough.
the biggest advice i can give for this game is if you’re spending days farming one thing.... just move on. you’re going to get to higher levels and the gear you spent days farming will become outdated and inferior so there’s no point. i quested to max with someone and when we got to 100 he wanted to stop for rattles but i told him darkmoor robe was good enough and rattles was a waste of time. sure enough, a few days later we got to 130 and did catacombs, so yeah that rattles farming would’ve been USELESS. only when you get to 130 will you need to actually farm for stuff that’s worth it. it’s definitely possible to get through this game without pieces of gear you think you need but actually don’t.
Level 56 crafted wintertusk gear is on par and in some cases better than waterworks gear. Also you have great rings, amulets, and useful wands that give spells if that's what you're looking for

10:15 I think for basically every school the house of scales amulet (gives damage) and robe are better than anything else at lvl 60. I know that death definitely is better (gives 25 damage, malistaire gives 23 i believe for comparison). The only other thing is that you never mentioned any craftable gear for 56-96. I know my friend is just going to do waterworks once and keep 56 crafted gear then 74-76 gear then 94-96 gear. I've done the same since it is easier than farming for tar and waterworks gear, unless i happen to get lucky and get a piece obviously i don't try for it unless i want it for an antique. I'd definitely suggest robe and amulet for any lvl 60 though, and the deck gives 1% accuracy if you care about that. May have done way too much lvl 60 pvp lol
Heres what you want to do, Level 1 - 30 Doesn't matter which gear you have and I suggest just put anything that has damage on, then do mount olympus for senator gear and if your lucky you will get the zeus set, then have that gear for another 30 levels then when you hit level 60 go for waterworks gear. that will get you to level 90 fine and easy, also if you want a comfortable time in khrysalis then I do suggest you do hades but if you can't be stuff stick with waterworks, immediately do darkmoor it's the best gear and it helps so much throughout the next four worlds after and eventually you will hit 130 then farm dragoon gear.
Tower of the Helephant drops a decent athame and ring (the ring isn’t good for much but the athame is decent). But that dungeon was difficult for 2 max levels and it was built for Level 60. Don’t worry about it much.
1-29 random drops and bazaar. 30-59 Zeus gear and maybe malistare. 60-70 waterworks and Poseidon (Poseidon is optional). 70-99 is mainly waterworks. 100-129 malistare gear mainly and finally the best 130 gear is usually a pack wand, and dragoon’s level 130 gear (I’m talking about storm I think the level 130 gear is a diff name for each school
Kinda wish I had watched this before going into krokotopia with like no gear. There were so many death bosses (I’m playing death school) I died like 10 times
Waterworks is not the best gear, I wouldn’t recommend using it, if you are crafting craft the Avalon gear for level 76 below that craft the wintertusk gear, waterworks is not good at all the critical is bad and the damage, I would wait for level 76 to craft the Avalon gear then keep it till you get to khrysalis for crafting 96 gear but you can also do hades if you want

The only thing I would recommend to not sleep on the level 40 dungeons in marleybone. I don't think its worth farming for day in day out (trust me, my cousin and I did that to get his storm the hat, robe, and boots), but its definitely worth the experience points and a chance of getting the gear, which is an upgrade from Zeus.
You forgot about something, not many ppl know this but at level 56 you can craft chief garb gesr in grizzleheim, go to the blacksmitch, its rlly good and helps with waterworks...and easy to craft, i crafted all school sets.
I'm level 70 Fire and was helping a friend who is 130 Death farm Mimic because he was out of keys and I had a lot and I got the fire ring first try. He was so upset because he's been trying to get the death one for a WHILE

Lol craft gear can also be pretty phenominal. I believe it was in grizzleheim level 52 or 54 crafted gear but I'll be honest I rocked that gear for a very long time
For 60, house of scales hat and shirt are both better than waterworks. Waterworks boots are better than house of scales. However, house of scales is a much harder drop for the gear
I sometimes just go for the wintertusk gear for the blade stacking, especially if you have a pet with a blade card. 3 blades in Celestia is super nice IMO.
Here is where you go to get some gear I can't remember the name of or show to you or explain why you want it. Also, the revered wand is the best PVP wand in the game.
Jindori 21 wintertusk for 56-60 (but obviously not necessary) zigazag gear is better than some waterworks gear for some schools, level 5 boots robe and hat from lord nightshade and heartsteel from final boulevard boss
16:25 my first time ever doing mount olympus at level 30 someone around level 90 asked if I want to do a secret boss and i said sure and the guy died before I did. And I was also a storm wizard which was funny because the health of storm wizards are low
Theres a lotta gear but honestly. 0-55 doesnt matter, bazaar gear for damage. 56 can be tbe cheif gear from waterworks. The hat at least. Waterworks Is the best gear for 60. And you can use Waterworks gear, the Bear athame and battle ring, sky iron hasta. Until level 90. Hoepfully you get the titan blade and omega ring if not it doesn't matter, just stick it until darkmoor. Then malistaire hood and robe, the boots if you want but it doesnt matter as well. Then Mal Hood Robe sky iron wand the darkmoor athame the ring from aphrodite, and yeah. Vanguard/Dragoon boots at 130. Thats what i do. I never crafted the 76 avalon gear or whatever because you dont need too.
Only thing i would say is you dont need to farm for all the spots for example its 100% possible (and my preference) to go from zeus-ww-mail- dragoon. all the other spots are extra or a history lesson on where you use to farm. Also i think the mali robe is better depending on what you are looking for stat wise personally. but like he said gear (especilly beyond level 100) is very custom, with jewels and such you really can play with it and decide what you want your stats to be.
1 thing i like to do: craft gear from my main for marleybone and (maybe) dragonspyre so i skip mount olympus. I am also thinking of skipping waterworks and just stick to wintertusk crafted gear

For rings, Aphrodite drops a very good ring that gives good damage, health, pip chance etc. Much better than alpha ring

An important thing to note about Dimachaerus is that his natural attack puts a -90 weakness on you

If your down want to farm for waterworks you can craft Wintertusk gear at level 58. It’s comparable to Waterworks for many of the schools

i recommend skipping tartarus unless you're being carried, it's way too long and difficult.
I skipped it since I knew better gear was available in 10 levels. Still have not done the dungeon and I'm level 130 now
Just to put this out there in lower zigzag the final boss drop the best amulet till lvl 99 or 100. It give 2% damage and about 100 health

house of scales is probably the best option since it also drops some really strong athames, rings,decks, and amulets

I was level 128 life wizard and this game is beyond hard on your own especially Azteca, khrysalis and some places in Mirage.

The malistair robe is no longer worth it because you unlock crit and crit block once you hit 50. Malistair robe was amazing back in the day though

For Lvl 20 Skeleton Key bosses like Ra are able to give some decent gear. I have a fire wizard, so it might be different for others

The only thing I would recommend to not sleep on the level 40 dungeons in marleybone. I don't think its worth farming for day in day out (trust me, my cousin and I did that to get his storm the hat, robe, and boots), but its definitely worth the experience points and a chance of getting the gear, which is an upgrade from Zeus.
You forgot about something, not many ppl know this but at level 56 you can craft chief garb gesr in grizzleheim, go to the blacksmitch, its rlly good and helps with waterworks...and easy to craft, i crafted all school sets.
I'm level 70 Fire and was helping a friend who is 130 Death farm Mimic because he was out of keys and I had a lot and I got the fire ring first try. He was so upset because he's been trying to get the death one for a WHILE
My storm has been rocking the Zigzag hat and robe for a while now lol, level 60 to level 92 now lol

For 60, house of scales hat and shirt are both better than waterworks. Waterworks boots are better than house of scales. However, house of scales is a much harder drop for the gear
Lower zigazag can give you an awesome amulet if your death and have access to the skeleton key chest :)

I sometimes just go for the wintertusk gear for the blade stacking, especially if you have a pet with a blade card. 3 blades in Celestia is super nice IMO.

Also, the revered wand is the best PVP wand in the game.
Poseidon at level 70 also gives decent alternatives to Waterworks gear depending on what you care about stats wise

Jindori 21 wintertusk for 56-60 (but obviously not necessary) zigazag gear is better than some waterworks gear for some schools, level 5 boots robe and hat from lord nightshade and heartsteel from final boulevard boss
16:25 my first time ever doing mount olympus at level 30 someone around level 90 asked if I want to do a secret boss and i said sure and the guy died before I did. And I was also a storm wizard which was funny because the health of storm wizards are low

1-30 bazaar
30-60 olympus
60-100 waterworks
100-130 oh fuck my life

Waterworks also can drop School amulets and I got an exalted Life in Tartarus

Theres a lotta gear but honestly. 0-55 doesnt matter, bazaar gear for damage. 56 can be tbe cheif gear from waterworks. The hat at least.
Waterworks Is the best gear for 60. And you can use Waterworks gear, the Bear athame and battle ring, sky iron hasta. Until level 90. Hoepfully you get the titan blade and omega ring if not it doesn't matter, just stick it until darkmoor. Then malistaire hood and robe, the boots if you want but it doesnt matter as well. Then Mal Hood Robe sky iron wand the darkmoor athame the ring from aphrodite, and yeah. Vanguard/Dragoon boots at 130. Thats what i do. I never crafted the 76 avalon gear or whatever because you dont need too.
Only thing i would say is you dont need to farm for all the spots for example its 100% possible (and my preference) to go from zeus-ww-mail- dragoon. all the other spots are extra or a history lesson on where you use to farm. Also i think the mali robe is better depending on what you are looking for stat wise personally. but like he said gear (especilly beyond level 100) is very custom, with jewels and such you really can play with it and decide what you want your stats to be.

1 thing i like to do: craft gear from my main for marleybone and (maybe) dragonspyre so i skip mount olympus. I am also thinking of skipping waterworks and just stick to wintertusk crafted gear

There is a good lvl 60 ring called aureate band that you can farm from wysteria. Also, for 80+ you can make gears via recipe in Avalon.
Aureate band is pretty trash now
