Life and Death were two of my favorite schools to play as hands down. I know everyone gives Storm all the glory, but not in my case.

Both kane and the pirate are lucky the wizard was too busy to deal with them or the arcanum didn't see them as threats cause they could solo both

Death Wizard here, I also enjoy playing support so my training points were Life to satyr Ice to tower Conviction from Diego for darkmoor aid Virulence Primordial for healing The requisite sun spells All blades All shields All dispels Reshuffle I have high damage spells in every school from spellements Looking back I feel like I could do without a few, and I might buy a training point buyback to redo it.

As far as hardest fight.. that would be beastman fight club.. hands down winner.

Four years on, and I would say most of this is a waste of crowns. Wise spending on elixirs is the only surefire benefit of the bunch, as they do give you some things you cannot otherwise get ever - extra things, like backpack space, bank space, bric-a-brac for decorators, and an extra character slot for those who want every school of wizard. Apart from that, the rest of the crown purchases you can do without. Henchmen are a crutch players should avoid. If you get stuck on a battle meant to be soloed, then you need to rethink your gear and deck strategy. If you're trying to solo end bosses, those weren't meant to be soloed. Give it a shot, great; but otherwise, there's a team-up option for a reason. Buying seeds is for the impatient. Over time while you level, you will naturally get all kinds of seeds. And finally, I realize that people buying packs is about the number one money maker for KingsIsle, but it's just gambling. There is exactly one set that offers an advantage over gear you can farm, and that's the frillasaur-bronto set bonus from the Primeval Hoard pack. Spending money on anything else is at best a time saver. If you're the type of player who wants to get to max faster, buying packs and seeds can help, but not really that much. Otherwise, play and enjoy the game without breaking the bank. One caveat about packs - I do find merit in people spending their money to buy otherwise unobtainable house and stitch gear, or if you're a mount collector. I get that. It's your money, and if that has value for you, power to you. The rest of this guy's advice is just whale-spending.

You know what? No, I need to defend Halston Balestrom's honor! Here's the reasons he's one of the best. His voice actor absolutely nails the performance. Halston's voice is this perfect blend of excitable, eccentric, and jumpy. You listen to his voice and you know this man (Uh frog.) is an inventor and the kind of professor who probably paces around the classroom while he gives a lecture. Which brings me to my next point that Halston is probably a really fun professor. The best kinds of professors are the ones who are passionate about what they teach and Halston definitely is that kind of person. Third point is besides Cyrus he probably has one of the most interesting backgrounds out of the professors. Halston grew up poor in Marleybone and was a troublemaker. He literally joined up with one of the local cat gangs when he was a kid and when the gang's leader wanted to start doing big time crimes with magic Halston decided hey that's wrong and fought the guy in a duel to stop him. And he actually won! He got thrown in jail himself afterwards for accidentally flooding the streets with the spell storm bats, but hey still not bad for a first duel. When his dad bailed him out he decided he wanted to get into magic and turn his life around so he enrolled into Ravenwood! (Which his dad disapproved of at first.) He was one of the first freshman students to win a duel against a Kraken and he did so well that after he graduated Merle Ambrose offered him a teaching position and he even got his dad's approval in the end. The backstory has so much going on and it's fun because you'd never expect Halston this jumpy, dapper, lil frog man to have been a delinquent in his youth. You even get to see some of it in the five boxes event actually and you can hear about it in the Ravenwood Rollcall videos. Overall Halstom is a cool professor and he ironically enough isn't even egotistical unlike actual storm players he's more nerdy and goofy than anything.

Never played Wizard101 with a premium account but it seems like this would be the best budget way to play: 1. Get a membership for a month 2. Farm and advance as much as you can while the first cycle is active 3. Just before the cycle is done, get/pay for the zones you want to keep and cancel the membership soon after (Make sure they are zones you can actually enjoy playing indefinitely) 4. Buy the other zones at your own pace Reason for this is because even buying the entirety of Wizard101 costs around $180 ($350 if you're unlucky and don't find a sale at all) and a year membership is $80. Meanwhile a month membership is $15 and sometimes you get a bonus 2850 crowns (Over $5 worth of crowns). If you plan on becoming a Wizard101 veteran, this would be my #1 recommended approach to the game

On life or ice I always feel like I never do enough damage and I have to spend so long buffing compared to the other schools even with high stat damage.

I remember that the devourer was only at 25,000 health, now it has risen to 80,000 and is more difficult than the final boss of Emperya

I will say, I really do like the catacombs lore wise. Digging under the world you've basically called home for the entire game (starting in golem court, no less) and discovering the remnants of such a brutal war is honestly so sad and disturbing. But gameplay wise, yeah, that place will give anyone a run for their damn money. I remember thinking that I could do the boss fight where you fight the two spirits of the same soldier with two people, and we ended up being there for an hour and a half. And I still have yet to beat renegade druid.

Hi, just wanted to add a note that you can get the wands from the boss right before the gallery in Khrysallis which gives insane stats. It can give upwards of +18 damage depending on school as well as maintaining the same crit and pierce as Darkmoor wands. You only lose 50 crit block. Very worthwhile to talk about <3.

balance is soooo fun idec. i just recently got to polaris on mine and it has been a blast. it's so unorthodox and interesting and forces me to come up with some really unique builds and strategies with pets and decks, and ofc in a team it is PEAK + it's my favorite aesthetically by far

Marleybone has lovely characters, however apart from the palace dungeon I found the world quite boring and samey.

Hi phantom, I’m here now lol. Just wanted to say wow 7 months I feel like this video came out yesterday. But I will say even tho you are taking a break or whatever, I still watch you’re old videos when I feel sad or look for guides in wiz. I struggle with being a people pleaser too, and this video is super relatable and i really try to stop it, but it’s hard. I always say sorry to people when I literally didn’t do anything wrong, and then I realize that after I say it and I feel so stupid. I need to seriously stop it because all of my friends and family even strangers at my job say “Dude stop saying sorry you did absolutely nothing wrong” And I’m like wow yeah I need to work on myself to stop, but ofc it’s easier said then done. This little rant is out of nowhere but I hope you can understand what I’m trying to say. Anyway have a good day/week or whatever lol. Love you buddy❤️

A little late, but I’ve just started playing the game again after a decade: as a Death wizard, how do I spend my points?

I think it's the best house too! At least for my Myth character. He's studying the cosmos, so the observatory is awesome. It's a little dark inside/too many dragons. But I'm not mad about the color scheme of Celestial Observatory and the Myth house seems a bit toooooo Myth haha. Awesome video!

Honestly I’d recommend getting both the elemental and spirit trap/blades regardless of what school you are. It gives you the flexibility to play support if you ever need to!
