ya know, for a kid's online card game, it taught me a lot about patience, strategy, and putting yourself out there to make friends from a young age. things that i carry over into other games. i don't play as often anymore, but i remember that the first time i got Firecat Alley unlocked, me and my younger sister (i shared an account with her) were stunned and delighted by the design (even tho it was kinda garbage back then, it was awesome to us >_
I remember buying a lot of crowns with my own money I got for my birthday and spending them on packs and locations. The pacs were worth it but now when I think about it unlocking the locations with crowns was totally not a good idea lol. But I completely agree with you about being nervous before going into a crown area for the first time after playing without membership for years.
Same I will never forget when I first bought past the pay wall. Life changing And I think crab alley was only available thru crowns and membership as well

When I was 8 I begged my parents to let ne buy it, they said no. A couple years later I found the game bought and it felt so refreshing
