My only issue with Dragonspyre is that it makes me sad. The backstory is really cool and I appreciate what it is, but walking around and every npc is dead just makes me sad.
ive always loved the aesthetic of dragonspyre. the grand looking architecture combined with lava and fire just decimating everything kinda makes it weirdly beautiful
Anyone remember when you have to go in to that vault and transport to old dragonspyre? Everything was bright a blooming. I think going back to old dragonspyre for a world or longer mission would be awesome
Honestly would love to see a reimagined or a return to dragonspyre but for higher level wizards. Like maybe another new villain wants to control the dragon titan? Or maybe something related with the whole time traveling and we get to explore more of what dragonspyre was like back then.
People think its bad? I thought the buildings were excellent. The battle music is fantasic, and the story is the best part about it. I also liked how you start off on a small island and slowly take the back from the titan army.
Gradually climbing the mountain and getting closer to the dragon titan is still the coolest aspect of the world to me. It's also a constant reminder of what will happen to every world in the spiral if you fail to stop Malistaire. No other world does anything like this (besides Azteca with Xibalba, but I think it would be cooler if Xibalba got closer and closer as you progressed through the quests).
Dragonspyre is one of the best lores in the game. It's a sad story, but a very good one. I personally don't mind the way it looks, it comes with the lore and it wouldn't be DS if it looked any different. I just wish they would get around to updating the graphics like they did for Wizard City 🥴🤷🏼♀
It's a good world but by that point i'm ready to get the first arc done to move on, especially when it's not the first time playing through the game. You singlehandedly got me back in to wiz, and now i'm playing consistently again, keep up the great work
My only complaint with the world was, in my MANY years before getting a membership and just hearing everyone talk about Dragonspyre as the final world at the time, I was SUPER disappointed that every street felt exactly the same, saved only by each areas unique area, which I remember all very fondly.
Malistaire's storyline was prob the only storyline in this entire game that I was able to follow. It completely kept my interest and made me feel bad for Malistaire.
You should do Azteca is under rated. My fav world, and the only good world in arc 2. Not only do you fail, which no MMOs ever let you do. But you fail because of greed for power. The wizard is to fearful of being evil and rash and our love for helping makes us fail. If only we where evil, azteca would have survived
I appreciate you sharing your opinion but that will never be a video on the channel just because of how much I’ve always hated the world HAHA, you brought up good points though
I love your point about people hating the world for the looks. It may look disheveled and ugly, but the reason is to fit the backstory of the world. It was destroyed by the dragon titan academy and that's why the world may look ugly. However, I think this rich story makes the world really interesting and amazing.
Dragonspyre would be a great world.... if the mobs and bosses weren't so damn annoying with shield spamming, 85% resist, extra pips, health, etc.... (And if there weren't so many mob fights)
dragonspyre is a sad haunted world once you reach it you feel sad for the people who lived there once you get the whole story 2 fools summoning the great dragon titan and the titan army are destroying everything in their path the draconians worship the dragon titan the humans feared it for good reason once the titan was awaken their was no stopping it up until it fell asleep and turned into stone when the young wizard reach's dragonspyre to fight the necromancer you see the titan's stone body on the great spire but the titan's eye is still active while you fight the necromancer then goes to sleep once more
Im an old Wiz fan who's recently gotten back into it as an adult. I just beat Dragonspyre for the first time the other day and honestly?? I don't understand the complaints about it😭 I found it really fun and it looking kinda shitty just added to the lore for me lmao
Hey, I was wondering if you could help me out. I came across your video because i'm making a video on the history of dragonspyre. But i've hit a bit of a wall on something. I'm trying to find out where in the lore it says the goal of the dragon cultists was. LIke, the lore i've been able to find out so far is that, there seemed to be a political power struggle between the wizards and warriors of dragonspyre after the founding of the council of wizards, warriors and king. Then there's nothing up until people start talking about how the dragon titan was summoned and destroyed dragonspyre. I know that the dean kidnapped the professors and was a ring leader in the summoning of the dragon titan, but KI never states why they actually did it. Do you know what the goal of the dragon cult actually was and where it specifically states that in the lore? Also, if you're interested, check out my malistaire character profile video, let me know what ya think!
You make lots of good points. However, at the end of the day, wizard101’s story isn’t strong enough for me to overlook the downright depressing aesthetics of dragonspyre. I usually just want to get out of there as fast as possible. It’s not the WORST world, in its defense (@Khrysalis)
I think their should be a high level wizard city, ik people want dragons pure but the world was just meh, I think only dragons pure could be the finale but it still was meh, I don’t think it can be helped fr
Oh yea and we get to ride drakes and time travel like WHAT
It’s be so cool if finishing dragonspyre gave you some like of a mount, like a drake hatchling. Also awesome vid as always
My only issue with Dragonspyre is that it makes me sad. The backstory is really cool and I appreciate what it is, but walking around and every npc is dead just makes me sad.
compare that to bullshit ass karamelle

I actually like the aesthetic of dragon spire. It fits the story and I personally like the color scheme.
Honestly would love to see a reimagined or a return to dragonspyre but for higher level wizards. Like maybe another new villain wants to control the dragon titan? Or maybe something related with the whole time traveling and we get to explore more of what dragonspyre was like back then.
Well didn't we return a bit with Catacombs storyline? I think we did
If you did catacombs there is
People think its bad? I thought the buildings were excellent. The battle music is fantasic, and the story is the best part about it. I also liked how you start off on a small island and slowly take the back from the titan army.
A lottt of people have told me they don't like the look of it, and I agree!
The battle music is my favorite soundtrack in the game

I would love to have dragonspyre to get updated graphics
I think so too but as well as all worlds on Arc 1 are needing a graphics update, and then Arc 2, and 3

FINALLY someone who gets it!! (Grizzleheim is my actual favorite but DS is right behind it)
Favorite world by far, 100k mali used to be insane
I used to hate this world, however as I've gotten older, I've found myself liking it a lot more
Zaddy Phantom is back 😎.

Looking good bro, nice video. These kind of videos are fun to watch!
I can't believe people dislike the aesthetic of Dragonspyre. It's the best aspect of the world imo
whens the azteca is underrated rant

Please do a ranking of worlds based on their soundtracks

Let’s all be real. Nobody truly hates Malistaire!!!
i just got my death to Mirage and im having the WORST time of my life

WAIT DID U FINISH CELESTIA LAST NIGHT?
Lmaooo no sir
Bruh someone has same stitch and pet as u i thought i played w u 😭
Not underrated at all.
It's my favorite world with Mirage.
It's an ugly world to me tbh. I know it's supposed to be rundown but the colors are blegh.
dragonspyre is the worst world in the game just cause it's ugly
