    Is the screen bright enough during the daytime?
    What is the bulb life expectancy? Hours?
    Thanks

    Еще есть двойная версия этого камина.Вы выбрали маленький камин из-за цены или потому что большой не понравился?

    Hello, what is your site? I want to look at the fireplaces. Also, what is the price of this product?

    Excellent review, thank you for this. I want to buy this unit but so far I heard that you cannot turn off that annoying lit brick wall that is pulsating and also I am not sure how to wire it in my newbuilt apartment without making a complete structural mess

      You have a few options... If you leave the front glass/ see thru mirror off, it would eliminate the backlight effect on the herringbone bricks. You can see this in my video. Or, you could disconnect the wire that creates that effect... its located on the ceiling. The Herringbone bricks are also located on the ceiling and it looks to me that they could be removed. Just a few screws. Remember, the mirror is showing you what's on the ceiling. The tv screen inside it is just creating the flame and sparks.
      As for your wiring dilemma - you can order a plug kit from Dimplex and plug it in to an outlet. Or have an electrician hard wire it to an outlet. For building it in, I would just construct a simple framed enclosure with 2x4's attached to the wall and then drywall it.
      The flame effect on this model is very impressive. You don't be disappointed. I've had it running 24-7 in my shop window since posting the video. Never turned it off! And since no heater, it's only about 3 cents an hour to run!

      Afterthought- the reason it doesn't come with a plug is because the actual box around it is unfinished and meant to be built in to your wall - to make it pretty. Since it's going to be built in to a wall, most building codes disallow a plug to be inside a wall... they want you to have access to a plug. But hard wired is allowed to be built in. To get around this, put a plug on the end and then create an access panel so you can get to the plug if need be. This would be allowable.

    I think the opti myst effect is better overall although it has it's issues.

      The Opti Myst is pretty cool however I don't like the idea of moisture and hot halogen bulbs which are energy hogs. And you can hear the water a bit... just my 2 cents!

      Got the opti myst. Never again, the thing repeatedly broke down within the first year and there was only one year guarantee. I gave up on the end, gave the thing away. Waste of money. The Opti V is fantastic and much more realistic.

    Does it heat?

    • @ccfireplace753
      @ccfireplace753  5 лет назад +1

      The Dimplex Opti-V does NOT have a heater option - however, a workaround is to add a separate electric heater below it - something we have done on occasion. Dimplex did not design the Opti-V with a heater because it would have compromised the very clean edge design - it has an extremely linear viewing area (approximately 30" wide x 9" tall) and if it had a heater - it would have needed a place to push the heat out from - which would have changed that clean edge look.

    I just looked this up online, did it really cost $3,000.00 ?

    • @ccfireplace753
      @ccfireplace753  4 года назад

      Haha... yes, it's really around the $3000 price point. I've commented before that I think the main market for this model is the commercial market - restaurants and hotel lobbies.

      Приветствую вас - я пытаюсь использовать Google Translator, чтобы ответить на ваш вопрос здесь. Подсветка не выключается. Звук можно отключить очень низко, но не полностью выключить.

      @@ccfireplace753 здравствуйте.Как вам качество картинки?Пламя реалистичное?Есть мнение,что картинка кажется плоской.Так ли это?Как он в сравнении с dimplex opti-myst?Какой из них реалистичнее?

    • @ccfireplace753
      @ccfireplace753  5 лет назад +1

      Кажется, мне нравится Opti-V лучше Opti-Myst. Я не думаю, что Opti-V выглядит слишком плоским. За экраном телевизора есть деревянный бревно, которое дает ему глубокий вид. Opti-V имеет искры и звук, синхронизированный с видео. Поэтому для меня Opti-V выглядит лучше.

      Моя одна критика Opti-V заключается в том, что в яркой комнате это выглядит не так хорошо. Слишком большое отражение от зеркала заставляет журналы исчезать. Но ночью, или с косвенным солнечным светом, он выглядит потрясающе. Я думаю, что лучшее место для Opti-V находится в коммерческом месте, например, в ресторане или в магазине.
