    Thank you. I was struggling with my new fire. Your tip on ensuring the transducer cable was clicked away was how my fire began to work. That's not in my instruction booklet! I've subscribed to your channel and will follow the cleaning in two weeks.

    Great video !!! I have been trying to get my fireplace going for over 6 months now with no luck.I even ordered a new transducer $158.00 Canadian,no luck. So after watching your video I ordered a fan,should be here mid November,nothing to loose to give it a try.Will let you know how it goes.Thanks for such a good clear video with out loud music ,just clear instructions. :-))) Thanks again

    This video is excellent! We've had our Optimyst for a week and are very happy with it. We have enjoyed the flame effect, but having tinkered with our setup slightly having followed your vid (i.e. making sure the black wire is well away from the transducer white disc), the flames are ten times better! Brill!

      Thank you! I got my stove pipe from B&Q for about £25. There are similar ones on Amazon for a similar price. You can get Dimplex pipes but they are about double the price ☺️

    Is it like a usaul electric heater (😬...which makes me nervous)?

      Hi Petra, yes it does make a noise. When you have the heater on it makes a fan heater noise. If you only have the mist on it makes an intermittent noise when the water flows down from the tank 😊

    Without your video, I wouldn't have had a clue how to assemble my fire, as the instructions that come with the fire are dire and unprofessional. I can't believe someone thought the format of the instruction booklet was suitable to send out with these fires!

      Mine does but it depends how far your stove is away from the wall. Mine is about 3cm away if that helps and I could slide the pipe back further if I needed to

      @@LivinganOrganisedLife hopefully that will improve performance and require less cleaning. I recently myself learned of this type of water usage for a new electric boiler I'm installing. High alkaline water, filtered or not causes deposits. I learned the minerals need to be removed all together and deionized is exactly that.

    Hi, thank you very much! I cleaned and reassembled my opti myst. But my opti-myst goes off, there is no fire. What could it be? It beeps twice and the lights goes off

      Hi, is your fire under warranty? If it is then contact Dimplex as they should guide you through some steps and send you smaller replacement parts to try to get it working again. If not, have you tried replacing the transducer? You can also purchase replacement transducer discs to save you purchasing the whole transducer unit. Let me know how you get on

      @@LivinganOrganisedLife Thank you very much for your fast response! Its a used one from eBay. And yes!! The transducer was the problem! :)) First I changed the disc but a new one was needed. Now my fire works! Yippie

    I replaced the transducer about 2 years ago as it kept turning off after 30 seconds. It's clean has water so is there something I'm missing

      My last transducer only lasted for a year so yours might need replacing again. You can buy transducer discs to save you replacing the whole transducer. Here’s a link:

    hi... I have the mist but when I put the orange tray in it stops the smoke rising and traps it inside? any ideas?

      Do you mean the fuel bed (logs)? Sounds like the flames are dying. Have you replaced the transducer? I have found out that you can just replace the transducer disc (white disc on the top) and see if that’s the cause. Let me know if it works ☺️

      Have you changed the transducer disc or the whole thing? If you replaced the whole thing, check the wire is not blocking the transducer and there’s plenty of water in the bottom tank. If the fire is still shutting off it might be an electrical problem. Is it under warranty?

      @@LivinganOrganisedLife the whole transducer has been changed and all bulbs checked .the fire works fine for a bit then the lights go out and after a short time they come back on again then again after a short time they go out again and it keeps doing this 😔😔😔.

      If you kept the original transducer I would try changing the transducer disc (transducer discs can be bought in packs on Amazon) and reinstall it to see if that works. If not, it might be an electrical problem and you may have to contact Dimplex for help. I’m sorry you’re having these problems

    Very informative videos especially about replacing the fan. I've done all this but still no steam and just beeps and goes off. This product has cost over £100 in spares so far so not impressed

      Oh no, I’m so sorry to hear that. I know it is possible to replace the PCB but it’s not something I have done. What’s your next step?

      Great news! I’ve recently bought a pack of transducer discs for my toolbox so I just replace them if I need to. Really easy to find on Amazon and should save you a few pennies if you have future problems. So pleased it’s working for you 😀

      @@mihalmacmaghnusa what I mean is some home appliances meant to make life comfortable are really more of a hassle with what it takes to maintain them. Since it is a heat producing appliance it is very overwhelming to approach it. I’m sure the video is helpful for the brave folks willing to maintain it.

      @@kristinesharp6286 I’ve probably replaced our transponder four times and fan three times in six years. They could make them last a bit longer. My wife faces the fire and absolutely loves it’s effect so I chew on with it for her really. At this moment I’m replacing the transponder and fan again. Your videos are most helpful. Thanks.

      @@mihalmacmaghnusa had the mist fail after 16 months and dimplex transponder was something like £50 it lasted a year so now the fire has a cheap 24 v mist transponder fitted it does not go in the holder but sits along side it for £10 the mist works fine.
