There is a lot to talk about in this video! We decided it would be fun to build a wall of fire in our showroom being that we are a fireplace install team and all! So we decided to use the opti myst cassettes. What is really cool about the cassettes, is you can build them to any length by combining them together. Essentially making the install options endless! What is cool too, is they do have the sound machine so you can hear the crackling and everything.
I feel like a feature this large however. Running a waterline is an absolute must! Thats a lot of tanks to fill. We ended up doing over 120” feature. So it ends up being 3 500 cassettes. And 2 1000 cassettes. To combine for that total. I do recommend a filter if your going to run a hard water line. And the reason being, is it will extend the life if you use filtered water.
Don’t forget if your in the Denver Colorado Area Visit our showroom today!

Removed a section in my camper where the entertainment area is and installed. Works great. Instead of propane furnace heat, I can use this ruclips.net/user/postUgkxATHBlMJwipGgVWseuAFKvDQ_5R4_lywo to heat the camper as long as it's hooked up to shore power. Only thing I do not like is there does not seem to be a thermostat. I'm presuming it has a built-in one so it does not overheat. Really like all the other color options it has to offer.
Cool when people love their job! Вот, дорогие мои россияне, как надо работать! С душой, с любовью к работе. :)
thanks
Building a new house. This is definitely going in! Thanks for sharing!
Hope you enjoy it! hit us up if you want to buy it
Thanks for an awesome video. High quality content! I have a question though regarding this open air design. Do you end up with orange lights on the ceiling given that you don’t have a top cover that you would have with a recessed/boxed in design? Best regards, Rolf
yes it doesnt show in the video, but our ceiling is orange. So something to think about.
such a nice job. i think u might want to add a dark wall behind your desk because it doesnt look as nice without the background. for me the optimyst looks the best of the indoor fireplaces ive seen on here
Great idea!!
7:33 I never thought sweeping the floors could be fun, but it can :D
haha
I have been looking for something like this for SO LONG!!! 😮😮😮 I LOVE this idea! Do you think that this would look nice off the wall? Like a room separator?
I stayed in a hotel suite that had one inside of a separator wall where two regular sized hotel rooms were combined into a single suite. It had the glass like a gas fireplace but was completely visible through 3 sides of glass. Looked great. The glass allowed the "flames" to get taller too.
Really cool looking. Are there any cheaper alternarives?
not that I know of .
Im curious about the moisture build up. Can it he placed in a insert? In a open setup how much space required above to prevent moisture build up?
I bet this would look amazing with a 10 inch high panel of black reflective glass or mirror across the wall directly behind the flames
I agree!
Love this!!
Yeah the net zero waterplace is awesome !
Dimplex says u need some open space for air in front or from the side. Like 7x7cm opening per piece. How did u manage that?
the one in the thumbnail is the netzero. We have a lot of new videos on the optimyst if that could help you design your set up.
Great video, Do they need to be drained after use? Or is all water dissolved after each use? My concern is excess water sitting
no it doesnt unless you go months at a time without turning it on
Thanks for awesome video, I'm purchasing this unit and really want to know the size of plumbing line connecting to this (diameter)? I know I can buy a plumbing kit but I need an extra length so I'm getting my own. I would really appreciate that if you can get me that answer I can't seem to find it anywhere.
I dont know the exact but its the same as a fridge line, its not big
How nuch Humidity does this add I already have an issue with high Humidity in my house and say I want to run these over about 3 meter length?
I dont notice any
Do you know if they have these in Australia?
Beautifully done!
Thank you very much!
Wow Is this a real fire? Does it warm a room?
It’s water vapor! It does not heat.
What is the cost to build the wall if you DIY vs having a professional do it?
I'm pretty sure Trevor had professionals do it. I think its possible to do on your own if you have the time and skills.
I am considering installing three 20" units in my great room. How do you plumb them together? Do you need a plumb kit for each unit?
no just the one for all three
Hey so I just bought the 40 and the 20 inch. I noticed you used the media tray. That’s 12 inches i believe and the log set is 14 inches wide so did you account for that? Also what about ventilation?
the logs can just sit on top, we have the vents on the back side, but you would need them somewhere for sure
I’m having a issue with the flame height. I have the logs on and it seems like my flame only goes up about 4-5 inches can you help me?
What paint did you guys used? Looks awesome 👌
I think charcoal
Looks great! I just ordered 2x Dimplex Cassette 1000R Opti-myst. Do you think that will come with a media tray so I can do a crushed glass set up also? I can't get the individual media tray here in the UK!
hmm that is hard to say! I know here you have to buy them
I just bought optimyst 1000 Pro with logs, it came with media tray as well
@@alancook1021 nice!
@@alancook1021 lucky man. All I can get here in the UK is opti myst cas1000 or 1000r. I specifically did not get the logs as an add on..so hoping it comes with a media tray. I will be disappointed if it comes without any top covering
I bought mine from a UK supplier zeeshan.
I am 90% sure you will get the media plate, as I requested logs as an option.
I will install my media plate throughout the year for a different effect.
Could you do this type of design with a Pro 1500 and a TV above or is it better to have it enclosed with TV above?
yes you could
Can you use other fireplace inserts/units?
what do you mean
I bought one of these partly as a result of this video. Unfortunately the flames look really nice for only about one minute after turning on. After that, the flames are tiny, barely noticeable. Do you have any idea why this is happening? The troubleshooting guide suggests that it is because I don't have enough air intake, however I am testing it prior to installing the walls around the fire place. (I only have it roughed in so there is plenty of space for air)
yeah something is wrong, it should always look like this. How is it installed
@@embersliving thank you for your reply. I made a little video showing my setup. Any words of wisdom would be appreciated. I really want to like this fireplace so I hope it is something I am doing wrong. ruclips.net/video/YKk6IxNsA4w/видео.html
@@embersliving Take a look at our "workaround" - this may be helpful to people running into the same problem: ruclips.net/video/RQZghvhTAYI/видео.html
Very Nice, great set up. Assuming someone may want to do this type of set up under a tv can the cassettes sit directly on the floor within an enclosure like that ? Can you just adjust the legs on the unit to the highest position to allow airflow or does there need to be a certain empty pocket height beneath the cassette and if so how much ?
it really depends on your climate. Here in Colorado it wouldn't be a problem cause the moisture evaporates so quickly
Thanks, so you can just rest it on the floor if you are in a dry environment?
Can anything be done to make the flame effect more dynamic? They just don't whip quite like real flames. They always seem like they're in slow motion
Unfortunately not. With this product what you see is what you get.
You can add a fan. Take a look here: ruclips.net/video/RQZghvhTAYI/видео.html
Can you still use the glass on top if you don't plumb the unit in, or would it be annoying to fill then?
it would be too annoying. You would have to take the glass off everyday
@@embersliving Could you glue or affix the glass to the media tray in some way so you don't have to take the glass off each time you refill?
Looks awesome!
thanks so much!
Quick question.
They require air inlet, where is the air inlet for the 5 optimysts.
Are they underneath the units?
Yeah we failed to mention that. They are behind our desk. That was part of our design idea was to hide all the mess that a desk creates.
Can u please explain this? Because I don’t know how to set this up :(
Do you need to clean the water tank?
sometimes
3.7 Flame colors of new units
do not match
MOD C equipped with yellow LEDs,
MOD 0-B equipped with orange LEDs
Replace orange LEDs and add LED driver board
(9601270300RP) to main control board (1 each
for CDFI500-PRO, 2 each for CDFI1000-PRO) ;)
thanks for the feedback
So there is no heat factor (burn factor or warming the area) to this, correct?
yeah exactly
Great video BTW.
Thanks so much!
how come part of the flames are red, while the unit lights are yellow?
Good question! That middle unit was actually a little outdated which is why it is yellow rather than red/orange.
@@embersliving No, I mean that the unit lights are one color (yellow), but when you look at all the flames they are yellow in the middle, but the surroundings en top are orange/red (like a real flame). How is that possible when the unit lights only have one color?
How should we handle ventilation when installing these, they need air flow right? Thanks.
mostly on the bottom
How long is this?
140"
Nice video!
Glad you enjoyed it
Why do you call it “fireplace”?
really im not sure. I dont think humidifier would sell lol
@@embersliving Hahaha that was a funny one 😂
How much it costs !
what size are you wanting?
I love how there are a lot of stupid people not watching this, it leaves a bigger market for us.
haha
In 1 mall has 1 and they put rocks
cool
i watched the video at x1.5 and it still felt slow. time is precious people
thanks for watching anyhow
Im curious about the moisture build up. Can it be placed in a closed insert? In a open setup how much space required above to prevent moisture build up?
Not much moisture at all. Sometimes there might be some dust build up but not bad at all. You would have to call and talk to our salesman about a closed insert. 303-800-5659
