  • Since I published the service videos, I've been getting quite a few questions on which valve kit to us for their unit or install.
In my experience the quality of the valve kit will make the unit and the service last long or go well.
When buying a valve kit make sure it costs around $75.00 or more this will insure its a good quality kit.
Apollo, WebTone, Rinnai's, Navien are all very good valve kits.
Any local supply house will sell these ones.
The best online supply house is,
    http//www.supplyhouse.com
    http//www.bigfrog.com
You will pay a little bit more, but they will always have stock.
If your looking to buy the tankless tool go to

If you have a question, please e mail me at
    thattanklessguy@gmail.com
If your problem requires me to put a bit of time into it I charge a small consulting fee of between $100.00 and $150.00 this will include me going over photos, videos, and sketches or drawings. A write up of what's the problem. If needed any follow up calls.
I hope you enjoy the video,
    Mike

Thanks for the video. Training is essential to our industry. I have been training since 2007 when I installed my first tankless. I also train with the local gas provider. It is a challenge to get plumbers to attend in the Charleston, South Carolina area. Tankless are all I work on now. I pray your business flourishes. Keep the videos coming.

Hey Mike. Thanks for all your videos...VERY informative.
I just installed an RSC199IP. The valves will not turn...hot or cold. Is there some secret handshake?

Off topic question: What is your recommendation on descaling maintenance interval for Rinnai RUR if we have soft water?

Question: I have an old retiring Bosch Aqua Star 1600 (I call Borsh), I always install stainless ball valves when I replace every appliance could I not just 'T' off of those ball valves and use some more stainless washer ball valves to flush? I am just a humble home gamer here.

What are the issues you've seen? I was just about to buy/install a Navien 240A2. Should I reconsider that purchase?
