- Today we shall elucidate the valorous Adeptus Astartes Chapter: The Celestial Lions.
Derived from the bloodline of Rogal Dorn, the Imperial Fists successor Chapter would despite their vaunted service to the Imperium incur the wroth of the Emperor's Holy Inqusiition.
Harried to nigh extinction for their criticism of the Inquisiton, with the aid of the Black Templars during the Third War for Armageddon the sons of Rogal Dorn would glimpse a brief reprieve of salvation for their Chapter.

I hope one day the inquisition finally get what they deserve I can only imagine if they bullied the Black Templars they would Dorn angry boys after them to Terra.
I can't find it anymore but there is a lore excerpt where Hellbrecht says if it were up to him he would absolutely take up arms against the Inquisition without hesitation.
edit: Wolf Lord Rho did a video on it, it's from Blood and Fire by ADB.
I'd actually love a secret war erupting between the Black Templars and the Inquisition. I can see it now when the Inquisition realise the sheer scale of the Black Templars and that they are spread out over the entire Galaxy XD
You bois dont seem to know , inquisition did try to find out how many black templars are there on a multiple occasions.... And guess what they didnt return cause in reality black templars have numbers like before horus heresy...but they are dispersed... fun fact
If there comes a story or series about certain Inquisitors getting their due, I really hope a gold and azure clad astartes is present.
Oh, so when the Inquisition hates a chapter like the Marines Malevolent, they just seethe from a distance, but when they hate a chapter like the Celestial Lions, they try and wipe them out at every opportunity. Great. Got it.
Its worth to keep in mind that Inquisition is not as unified as they might seem. All Inquisitors handle situations as they see fit and are judged by other inquisitors if they overstep. The inquisitor apollyon chose this approach and his continued bitterness against celestial lions gaining the ire of Dorn geneline might get him targeted by rest of inquisition when it escalates.
I have a feeling The Lion and his dark Angels will purge the Inquisitions. when that happens any chapter that had beef with the inquisition might join in.
I wish but they have toned down lion quite alot
@@tero2535 He's smarter and uses his head, but it still showed he still has that temper, just in check. I don't know if he'd keep it on leash if he knew how corrupt the Inquisition is and all that they have done.
@@tero2535They've rewritten the Lion several times to pander to Dark Angels fans who were butthurt that their Primarch was, like their Chapter and Legion, a Self Serving Asshole first and foremost. Just like his Father. That he waited to see who won, and joined the winners.
Hell you can still see this Old Charactization in how the Chapter and its Successors act in Older Lore. The enter point of the Fallen were that they were the actual Loyalists, trying to help the Imperium, as that part of the Alpha Legion's history hadn't been written yet. That was the Fallen's entire point: Honor and Loyalty doesn't stand up to Self Interest and Pride in the 41st Millennium.
@@ssjjshawn yea i hoped they kept him as Ahola to have some personality not every1 need to be guilliman it would be boring
I'd love to see the Templars and Space Wolves come together on this one. Both savage Chapters who ignore the Codex, the Wolves have already come to blows with the Inquisition. Imagine what the Lion would think! So much potential here.
Black templars vs Grey knights would go so hard ngl
I hope the lion gives the inquistion a very special treatment
The inquisition: tries to exterminatus one of the lion worlds.
The lion: You picked the wrong house aa-ron
Someone just needs to cripple the Inquisition. Someone has to at some point.
I’ve had a hard time picking a favorite loyalist chapter but I absolutely adore these guys. The lore is so interesting with the inquisition waging a barely secret war on them and I loooove the color scheme they use.
I dont like the fact that inquisition did go unpunished
@@luka72468 people with absolute power tend to.
Seems like they'd be a really cool chapter if they existed for any reason other than to be the Inquisition's punching bag.
The perfidy and evil that these honorable warriors have suffered through is terrible, I only pray that the Emperor's Justice brings retribution on their enemies. May the Inquisition be dealt justice.
And people wonder why the Inquisition is so hated.
The Months of Shame is another reason the Inquisition is hated
I'm a Flesh Tearer and we are always being investigated, like what happened to the company of cadians, or where those Soritas.
@@classiccraftdestined.7596 I've been reading one of the Blood Angels omnibus and man u guys were hated since day one.
@@FlamesofJagger As a son of Russ I know all to well about the Months of Shame.
@@nightmarezero606 yup
They did not deserve their fate for fighting for just cause, and while many fear the Inquisition they at least spit in their face for the needless slaughter of the civilian population, and though these actions that create grudges that harm the Imperium more.
It should be lead by Gret Knight that lived through the Months of Sorrow. Rooting out these heretics
There needs to be an Inquisitor shadow war over the Celestial Lions. With the Inquisition as fractured as it is and the Lions not being chaos tainted there's a good story there of one Inquisitor trying to destroy them and another trying to redeem them.
Another awesome chapter.
If you have Grimaldus champoining you, well, you are a righteous group indeed
I believe this primarily and other incidents will be yhe powder keg for another civil war, because the black templars are about to go to war with the inquisition and also you already have the beef between them and the space wovles. This could be a damn good story, possibly one of the best.
Must be a good day to be a fan of this chapter.
Two videos about them by major RUclipsrs in the same day (the other coming first from Baldermort)
They with the Lamentors will never be forgotten these immortal defenders
It would be great if Gorilla boatman gave them Primaris and they got to settle accounts with that particular Inquisitor.
Be even funnier if the inquisition made an attack while the primaris were being delivered, and the custodies making the delivery took it personally.
"Honor and Brotherhood demand this of me" 🔥🔥🔥
Freaking Inquisition.
Yes! A great chapter with alot of character
...I think a reckoning is due for a certain Inquisitor (& with the Space Wolves eagerly assisting)
Glory to true sons of Rogal Dorn. May they be for ever remembered and honoured, and those that shadowed them revealed and reviled forever.
The Inquisition did them dirty😢
Read up on them a little, the inquisition needs to pay
One of the Emperor's finest warrior chapters. Also has some of the coolest paint schemes of all chapters.
One of the coolest-looking and tragic chapters whose story is among the best ones to present to a newcomer to show why the Imperium cannot have nice things.
My favorite chapter ❤
Getting real tired of these ork snipers messing with my boys.
We yet still live!!!
The Sons of Dorn really have a thing against Orks. Celestial Lions, Black Templars, and especially the Crimson Fists.
The Chapter who tried to publicly voice their distaste against the Inquisition and payed for it in blood on Armageddon.
Man this was a great video, I wonder what was the celestial lion specialty were, kind of wish there were books that expand more lore
weakening the imperium by essentialy destroying an entire space marine chapter beacause your pride was wounded how small the inquistition is
These guys are like the only black faction and got wiped out by the space police 💀
LMAOOOO 😂😂😂. Man I'm kinda mad about it honestly. It's like they made a blk faction just to end them smh
The celestial lions also hates the mentors chapter
Power of lion
Im glad you covered these bad motherfuckers. They are top 5 successor chapters
The lesson here is never go against the Inquisition!
Unless you're a first founding chapter or just the Space Wolves
The true lesson here is that we need to tear down the inquisition as soon as we can find other ways to support the imperium
Ahj, the Celestial Lions. Aka: don't piss off a particularly vindictive Inquisition agent
Bless them they tried so badly but they were ever so vaugely against inquisitional sabotage that they COULD NOT CATCH A BREAK 3;
I hate those ork snipers the killed most of them
They are cool, sad they get sniped often
Helbrecht and Grimaldus will repay the slight to Dorn’s lineage.
I think you and Uncle baldemort must have been drinking from the same Kool-Aid pot cuz you're both did entries on the celestial Lions this week! LOL not that I'm complaining mind you! I love the celestial Lions so badass and the Inquisition such scum bags for this so we just got double the pleasure double the fun. Anybody from the 80s if you don't know what I just said was a bubble gum commercial and you can't remember those dumb-ass commercials then you're not one of us LOL
I wished we could have done more. Too bad those orks had some snipers with aim that should be out of their bounds
Grimaldous knew the score about the Inquisition. That’s one of the reasons he helped the Lions. Yes, lots of writing potential here with CL, BT, and maybe Space Wolves? A straight up fight the inquisition doesn’t have the stomach for but, the assasitorium missions are right up their alley. Need a major smack down from the Chapters on the Inquisition to get them to back off. Not just the iron hand however but, would be great to see the finesse of a velvet glove employed here too. We always see the blunt force of marine chapters but there is a guile component to warfare that they should exploit against the Inquisition. How glorious it would be to see them out Spy Crafted at their own game! The Emperor Protects!
@@frigidmonk Dont custodies usually escort primaris deliveries ?
Be hilarious if the inquisition made a move and suddenly a few custodies decide to teach a lesson.
The story of the Celestial Lions made me my impression of the Inquisition go from 'they’re diks but maybe necessary' to 'F-ING CU-TS!!!'. The months of shame just locked it in
👏👏👏!
good, good, good, the less imperial fists the better... ☠☠☠
Didn’t Grimaldus help one?
👍
😢
It would be classic 40k if the Inquisition were right about the corruption of the shrine world but didn't bother or were too arrogant to tell the Lion's, probably because a Rogue inquisitor was behind it in the first place
EDIT
Inquisition POV should be the next chapter in the story
The editing seems a bit dodgy on this one, my friend.
Why the f does the inquisition hate them so much?
This is for my is pain. Because I like inquisition but sometimes the are just so stupid and do stupid things. This in ragging me because they most be logical and intelligent guys in amperiom
Logic and intelligence doesn’t go together with the imperium

Bruh what is silly AI voice you're using?
The Sons of Dorn will weather any hatred. Any damage. None will find them wanting.
