- Today we shall be elucidate the deeds of the Apothecary of the Night Lords: Talos Valcoran.
Known as 'Soul Hunter' by his Primarch Konrad Curze, Talos' vengeance against the Imperium would sustain his tattered kin of the Night Lord 10th Company for many millennia.
Following the legacy laid forth by his gene-sire, Talos would assume the mantle of leader of the 1st Claw of the 10th Company and in his dealings with traitors, daemons and heretics allow for the resurgence of his Emperor damned Legion...

YEAS!!!!! Only took me 3 years to finish all 3 audioboiks, I listen to them on airplanes and I fall asleep, and as second language, English is still tricky sometimes, specially on audio books. This video confirmed what I understood and made it all coherent. Fucking bad ass!

Yes after reading the Night Lords omnibus i started to collect and build night lord's legion and specially First Claw.
It made me like a marine faction for once. I now have a Nightlord force these books are really good they make a such cause to get behind.
I have learned just enough 40k lore to stress about how different it all could have been. The what ifs kill me!!
The whole thing is an epic tragedy :)
There's a reason why most precog psykers and fortunetellers are insane, walking tragedies, martyrs of lost causes, or all 3.

I was a fan and collector of night lords since 2nd edition but the adb books elevated them to a legitimate level I had never anticipated.
Hell, he’a on par with Fulgrim when it comes to monologue.
Leaving out that blood angels relic to draw out neophytes is funny....the war band guy that got shot in the ass was funny to. Talos breaks into a screaming break dance during visions doesn't help his war band...having to carry him back. My favorite nightlord is Gendor strivok...

I think that angron due to the intervention of kharn came to begrudgingly respect his sons at least a little bit. The night haunter never did such things.

Yes. But we do not need the love of our "father" anymore. Khorne guides us now. His rage, honour and battle competence boils in our nails. Blood for the blood god, skulls for the skull throne! Into the honest battle fray we rush, blood dripping from our Chainaxes, the blood tithe yet to be reaped!

I really hope we're going to see a book (or a serie of books) following Void Stalker someday. I really enjoyed these books and the story of the first claw, this was brilliant and I quite like the Night Lords now because of these.
Aaron Dembski Bowden is an excellent author, I also really enjoyed his "Spear of the emperor", a great read.
Talos is one of my Favorite Space Marines
So when I first met an ex of mine she found out I liked 40k and she asked me if it was like Star Wars. After a few seconds I replied "Yeah, similar. But if it was hip hop then Star Wars would be Will Smith and 40k is Wu-Tang.

20 million isn't something to brag about when on any given Sunday, the imperium could oblterate a few billion ppl just for knowing chaos exist.
It is better by far to be an object of fear than of respect, for one is a truth of the soul and the other an illusion of the mind.
It took me far too long to realise that 'Soul Hunter' is a pun out loud.

If you can snipe the head clean off an unhelmeted astartes with a Barrett .50 cal, somehow they don't seem so scary to me.
"If" is the key word. Space marine resilience, bone strength, healing, and augmetics are a mighty combo.
Also, most humans (in both fiction and IRL) will never so much as see a .50 gun, much less have one handy.

As far as the heretical traitor legions go, I’ve been of the mind that purging flame is almost to good, but I can admit that the Night Lords unique journey does have some grudging acknowledgment of neutral feelings from me (never openly - IXth 🩸from beginning to end) mainly due to the black humour, nihilism and dry sarcasm present in the few charismatic personalities they’ve spawned. The problem is they’re actually ignorant and precious school girls with their modus operandi though- the galaxy hates us boo hoo……. It’s a bigger club than they think when there’s the Iron Warriors in that galaxy 😂 not to mention outcasts like the White Scars that get some heat too. That said, at best they just should be immolated last.
I don't think it's possible to put into the written word just how well and truly fucked u would be if the Nightlords were on ur tale there is nowhere u could run there is nowhere u could hide all u could hope for would be a swift death but then again the Nightlords aren't known for their mercy in delivering a quick death.

Konrad Curze was dead before he even came to nostramo. But decimus was smarter. And stronger willed. Channeling his now inhuman will,the warsage was reborn. Malcharion stood back,unnerved.

That quote at the beginning sums up the night lords really well! I don't understand why some people like them. They're easily the most pathetic of all the legions. Conrad is sort of an interesting character. If you're into the fact that he's a fatalistic, broken, spiteful, being who's more of a creature than a man and ended up being the only primarch to take the cowards way out. Otherwise I don't really get the appeal.

Same, I fail to see the appeal at all, I guess aesthetics and in general not being just another Chaos pawn goes a long way, I think the only thing I enjoy with them involved is when they find themselves in the same situation they make countless billions suffer like when one of their warbands was hunted by a White Scars company or when they were ambushed by the Carcharadons while they were raiding a prison.
I super don't like the Night Lord's. The most they'll ever be is a plot device to make a reserved good guy snap and then he'll wipe them out and then he'll take a moment, learn from it and then Guilliman will go back to his office and do the requisite paperwork.
Wait for the heroic rise of his "Son". Hope we get some literatur soon. Decimus as the Master of the crazy 8 would be great.

Nightlords are weird af. Overall, a really shitty organisation, but gods be dammed if they don't have some of the coolest individuals.
