Heyy Jayy..... This is the first Ozzy song that I fell in love with. What I found on the song: "This song is about Ozzy's wife, Sharon. They met when her father, Don Arden, was managing Black Sabbath. After they married, Sharon bought out Ozzy's contract and became his manager. She runs the Ozzfest. Ozzy gave up drugs and alcohol before recording this. He credits Sharon for the lifestyle change, and admits that he would be dead if did not turn sober." Thanks for your reaction, Jayy..... Take care and be well. Peace.
To his credit, singing is a different sort of mouth and throat exercise compared to speaking. No decent sound comes out if you don't open everything up and enunciation is ridiculously important for getting a message across in song.
Love the softer side of Ozzy, grew up with an older brother who listened to black sabbath and I found them a bit scary when I was nine lol but decades later I fell in love with this song and Ozzy...♡
Thanks Jayy for checking out this great tune from Ozzy, yeah he wrote it when he and Sharon reconciled and he does call her mama. I love your reactions, keep doing what you do and you are such a sweetheart 💗❤
Every time I hear this song, my late wife comes to mind and now as I stare down the barrel of my journeys end, the song takes on a whole new meaning. PEACE!!!!!
This combination of talent is magic. Ozzy wrote the music with Zakk and Lemmy (Motörhead) wrote the words about coming home from touring. Ozzy vocals, Zakk Wylde on lead guitar, Mike Inez on bass and the incredible late Randy Castillo on drums(RIP). They also did No More Tears and Dreamer together. Dreamer is a beautiful ballad Ozzy wrote after 9/11. Please try that video…. The 20 year anniversary is coming up in September.
1:07 When she made that "mmmm" sound, I knew exactly why she made that sound! She recognized that powerful bass transition. This song is a masterclass in music composition!
This is off the Album No More Tears. It’s hard to believe it came out 30 years ago. (Sept 1991] I bought it the day it was released. This Is one of those albums you listen to from beginning to end over and over. At least I did. Thank you for the walk down memory lane such a great time for music!🤟🏻🤟🏻
You're one of the few people to actually get the song - Ozzy Osbourne reflecting on his love to his wife. For years he battled with drug addiction, throw it all, she was there - but out on the road, so much temptation (drugs and women) - each night he would call (his wife) and tell her "Mama I'm coming Home" and finally after a full year without any type of drugs (cocaine or alcohol, ect) he wrote this song as a tribute to his wife - the power love.
One of my favorite songs.. Thanks for checking this out.. 🔥 like always 🤘🔥💯 It’s definitely about Sharon… He wrote this song when they had problems In their relationship I do believe
First - love that shade of color on your hair, it's gorgeous!! Second, I hope you'll react to song "Close My Eyes Forever" by Ozzy Osbourne and Lita Ford
I have no idea why.. I'm not complaining bc this is a beautiful song but... For years this is the song that gets stuck in my head for no reason lol. Like, super frequently. Everybody's always asking me.. "Did you just listen to Ozzy?" But no. It's just the song that my brain picked out to replay for the rest of my life lol 🤘😍
Ozzy and Sharon were married in 1982, this song came out in 1991. Per Ozzy, 'Mama, I'm Coming Home' was always something he'd say on the phone to her near the end of a tour.
After this album he was suppossed to retire and go home to Sharon (momma) and his kids. The tour for this album was called No More Tours. But alas....he was addicted to the music and the road and hes still killing it to this day
Saw him live in 2018 and Oz was 71 years old. He still sings like an angel. It’s amazing. This song was about him dropping all his bad habits, becoming a better husband and father “mama” is Sharon btw. He realized his errors and needed to correct them.
Ozzy and his guitarist Zakk Wylde wrote this after Sharon threw Ozzy out after he was drunk and high on drugs and tried to strangle her. Sharon took him back after a while and that’s when he wrote this song. Ozzy credits Sharon for saving his life, many, many times. Stay cool and… \m/ Stay Metal \m/
Funny thing, My Baptist, holy, pure and righteous grandma...said she love my music when I listened to this album in thier house in 1992. Always supportive...God rest her.
This was one of a few songs that I played as I was headed home from the road when I drove a truck for a living. My home's in Alabama and Home Sweet Home by Motley Crew. 21 days on the road away from those ya love and care about seems like a lifetime
There are many gr8 singers, but No One is like Ozzy. Every player he had on stage knew they had to do their best playing, and they gladly did. Why? Bcz its for Ozzy. If u played for Ozzy you have made it to the top. Not even an Oscar gives you props like that. This is how big Ozzy is. Why he's so special and respected.
Fun fact, Zakk (guitarist) was hired by Ozzy at 19 years old. He showed up to open auditions and played blues whereas everyone else was trying to cover Ozzy tunes. He is now the front man and lead guitarist for Black Label Society.
My momma played this song at her funeral. Y'all should have seen the looks when this song came blaring out of the speakers in the church. My momma was one of a kind
The guitar player here is a young Zakk Wylde. Try some stuff from his band Black Label Society or solo work. “Lost Prayer” is a good place to start. It will shock you to see and hear that voice coming from a guy that looks perfectly at home in a biker gang lol. A truly talented dude.

Didn't Lemmy write this song?
@@chitura71 with Ozzy and Zakk
It’s about the first time he retired
Yes he stopped the drugs and alcohol..... But only because he had already taken enough for three life times. "0_o"
@@thatmechanicguy1993 the lyrics were written by Lemmy. I don't think it's about Ozzy's wife since Sharon asked Lemmy to write songs for Ozzy
It's amazing, how he can barely talk clearly, but he can sing, so wonderfully.
Criminally underrated singer. Absolutely beautiful resonance. What a gift.
He has Parkinson’s disease. That’s why he speaks the way he does.
To his credit, singing is a different sort of mouth and throat exercise compared to speaking. No decent sound comes out if you don't open everything up and enunciation is ridiculously important for getting a message across in song.
He should sing everything
@@OneofMyTurnsOzzy's Parkinson’s disease was a recent event in the life of Ozzy. His hard to understand speaking has been going on for decades.
Try ' If I close my eyes forever' , with Lita Ford
Great tune 💯
It was originally on Lita Ford's album with Ozzy.
YES!!!
Amazing song!
Great song!
I like Ozzy's Shot in the Dark.
My favorite Ozzy song !!!
GREAT song from a GREAT album
Yaasssss
@@bjthompson5259 Mine too.

Give “no more tears” a listen 👍
I was just going to say that as well. "Mama I'm Coming Home" is my favorite song and "No More Tears" is my 2nd fave. I love the bass intro.
Agree! I'd also recommend Mr Tinkertrain. And - I Don't Know!
Written by Lemmy from Motorhead.
Heck yeah Thanks.... No More Tears and Shot In The Dark
The legend Ozzy! ♥️♥️♥️🎼🎶🎵🇨🇦
Co-written with Ozzy's friend, Lemmy Kilmeister from "Motorhead".
Thanks Jayy for checking out this great tune from Ozzy, yeah he wrote it when he and Sharon reconciled and he does call her mama. I love your reactions, keep doing what you do and you are such a sweetheart 💗❤
Love this song. Ozzy has never put a bad song out
Never? Never Know Why (1986) Would like a word with you
I don't like No Bone Movies.....
When my daughter had guitar lessons, one of her first songs she had to learn was Ozzy's - Crazy Train
Yes he calls Sharron mama.
*sharon
At the end of every tour he calls Sharon and tells her mama I’m coming home
Ozzy's and Lita Ford "If I Close My Eyes Forever 💗
Diary of a madman is the Ozzy song to listen to, and catch a glimpse of some awesome writing of music and lyrics.
ozzy has a very haunting quality to his voice. i love this song. been an ozzy fan since black sabbath..
Every time I hear this song, my late wife comes to mind and now as I stare down the barrel of my journeys end, the song takes on a whole new meaning. PEACE!!!!!
One of the best father of rock
Love this song. First Ozzy album I bought.
"See You on the Other Side" is a great one that's too often overlooked.
Love this song. It's called a power ballad.
Ozzy wrote this about being gone on the road all the time touring and can’t wait to come home to Sharon.
The Prince of Darkness Himself! Love your hair btw! Love your reviews. Love your honest reactions. Thank you for sharing your emotions with us.

You should try Lita Ford and Ozzie, Close my eyes forever.
This whole album is fantastic, one of Ozzy's best!
Love this song.... Brings me back! 👍
Fun fact, this is about his wife Sharon after she kicked him out
Fun fact, no. This song was written by Lemmy Kilmister from Motörhead. You can look it up if you don't believe me.
@Strawberry Shortcake Only the lyrics, I wonder what Lemmy meant by those lyrics?
@Strawberry Shortcake Thanks, that's pretty cool.
So Tired is a great song too.
It was the first Ozzy song I ever heard and I've been a fan ever since.
I love so much at 2:32 your smile reads "oh yeahhh he's talking about the love of his life"
1:07 When she made that "mmmm" sound, I knew exactly why she made that sound! She recognized that powerful bass transition. This song is a masterclass in music composition!
You listen to Ozzy and have the most beautiful smile I've ever seen. I hit that subscribe button the warmness.

It warms an old rocker's heart to see more younger folks (Besides my kid) appreciate the tunes I grew up with... NIce job!!
No More Tears will always be my favorite Ozzy tune, very closely followed by If I Close My Eyes Forever with Lita Ford. Both great tunes.

Ozzy🥰🥰🥰🔥🔥
Ozzys best album. Masterful.
I don't think many people realize how good a singer/song writer Ozzy is. Next to VH(Van Halen) he is my fave
Fun fact, Zakk (guitarist) was hired by Ozzy at 19 years old. He showed up to open auditions and played blues whereas everyone else was trying to cover Ozzy tunes. He is now the front man and lead guitarist for Black Label Society.
I know when my oldest son was 19 he was lost... but he's amazing now at 33.. He came home to mamma...I'm blessed...
My momma played this song at her funeral. Y'all should have seen the looks when this song came blaring out of the speakers in the church. My momma was one of a kind
Everyone deserves a partner who think's like this song!
Zakk Wylde is the guitarist. He's no longer with ozzy, but he has his own band called black label society. He plays the guitar and sings.
One of the greatest songs ever made
You WIll LOVE "If I close my eyes forever" Duet with Lita Ford. I see a few other people mentioning it. You won't be Sorry.
