Sharon said in an interview that Ozzy would call her when he was ending a show or tour and say “Mama I’m coming home”
The phone messages before then were mostly just gurgling sounds.
JK - love ya Ozzy! 🤘🤪
So custom and so true
@@chriswildhaber35 ,
Are you using "custom" as a slang term? If so whatzit mean? 🤔✌️
@@Darmesis means I agree good
@@chriswildhaber35 ,
Cool beans. Love learnin’ me some jargon! ✌️
Note :“Mama,” Ozzy’s pet name for Sharon Osbourne, the mother of his children as well as his wife and manager, was the inspiration behind this song’s title-at the end of each tour, he tells her, “Mama, I’m coming home!” The song and its title were handed to MOTORHEADS’s LEMMY KILMISTER who wrote the song about missing home and returning, despite the dark history one has had there.
I love that Lemmy has been involved with some quite tender Ozzy songs, I think he also had a hand in See You On The Other Side
yeah I always thought talking bout his mama. lol but Sharon. Still great song. ......all this time I made my son feel bad. "see, Ozzy luvs his mom!" hahahahaaaa
Zakk co-wrote those ballads too. Very important to Ozzys sound even to this day
She saved his life
@@kevinsteadman7215 I know people like to bash on her but you are spot on. Without Sharon, there would be no Ozzy. And I think that is true even today. If something happened to her or had she been taken by cancer years back, Ozzy wouldn't last the year. She is his rock and reason for living.
Legendary Zakk Wylde on guitar…that 12 string sounds incredible
When my time in the army was finished, I heard this in the airport when I arrived home. It hit hard walking through the airport, took everything I had to hold’em back. Rock on Ozzy!
Sometimes the right song gets played at just the right time and makes you second-guess if it’s mere coincidence. Thank you for your service and commitment.
Thank you Chris for your service!!!! God Bless you!
Firstly, thank you for your service. 🤘🏻 I love that music has so much power. P.L.U.R.R. from ATX!
Thank you for your service. Glad your home
I was active duty Army from 90-94. No More Tears was in my CD player for a good part of that.
Another one like this from Ozzy would be his duet with Lita Ford - "Close My Eyes Forever"
Yes, please
Another so "gay" but oh soooo good song
This is my absolute favorite song by Ozzy...Amazing song!!!
Mine too 😍😍
"Mama I'm coming home " This is what Ozzy would say to Sharon on the phone right after the last concert of every tour .. Letting her know the tour was finally done and he was on his way home. You need to check out Goodbye to Romance or Fire in the Sky .. Ozzy has several very deep songs
So many good songs by Ozzy....and he continues to crank them out still! A blessing on our ears indeed.
"Mama, I'm Coming Home" peaked @ #28 on the Billboard Pop chart in 1992. It was the 4th and last of Ozzy's solo records to chart; he previously charted twice as lead singer of Black Sabbath ("Paranoid" & "Iron Man" in the early 70s)
Ozzy!! ✌❤🎶
Yes! Finally some Ozzy! His song HERO is a Must Hear and PURE FIRE!!!!!!!
I bought this CD in Barcelona on my way back from my first deployment in the first Gulf War. We listened to this passing through the Straits of Gibraltar, with Europe on the right and Africa on the left heading out in to the Atlantic.
And HAPPY MOTHERS DAY AMBER! Much love, and light to your wonderful family!!💙💙☀️☀️
This was a good one to review by Ozzy. It shows a more gentle side of him and I love the tune. Happy Mother's Day !!
Absolutely love Ozzy, love his voice, he has so many great songs.
About Ozzy's background: He and his Black Sabbath bandmates are from a gritty, industrial city in England called Birmingham. It was either work in the factories or find some way not to, and the band ended up being their ticket out of it. As for this song, it was co-written with Lemmy (from Motorhead) and Zakk Wylde, who's the guitarist on this track. So it's unclear to what extent it's about Ozzy's own mother. But either way, it's a hell of a power ballad! Next stop: "Close My Eyes Forever" (featuring Lita Ford).
My grandfather was born in Birmingham England and got out while he was young and made it to Canada. I never knew that was where Ozzy was from! Thanks for the info!
Isn't Jeff Lynne ELO. from Birmingham too? He wrote Birmingham blues, I see why now. 🙂
The guys from Judas Priest also hail from Birmingham.
Birmingham in the 60's, 70's and 80's suffered like most industrial towns in Britain but Birmingham is also the second largest town in the UK and fortunes varied widely amongst its population. It wasn't all bad.
@@sambirch6784 NYC. Was a disaster in the early 70s. You can go anywhere in the world & find towns that are not good. Pittsburgh Pa. was a Steel & mining town, it's been so built up. I was born in Philly, but moved to So. Jersey in 1967. The Country.
This song will be played as I’m crossing over. So beautiful
Sharon said on an episode of BGT, when a guy covered this sond, that Ozzy wrote this song for her when he was coming home from a really long tour, and things were stressed between them. He was basically saying that he had done things wrong and was changing to be better with her.
This is probably my favorite song BY Ozzy. My favorite album of his as a whole.. For sure
This album was one of my favorites of all time, listened to Ozzy since Black Sabbath!! Zack Wylde is so great! This album made everyone understand where his life was, married to Sharon for a really long time, so easy to leave and yet so hard to stay in a marriage but commitment was everything!!
Yes, I agree. Another power song is "Close My Eyes Forever" that Ozzy did with Lita Ford. Oh, and if you choose to do that, you might do Lita's "Kiss Me Deadly", too.
Yes to both! Kiss me deadly by Rita Ford is awesome too! Good call
That duet was in the flip side of Mamma, I'm Coming Home.
They did Kiss me Deadly 🙂
@@ruthparker9756 oh okay thanks. I’ll have to check that one out!
@@Governor1993 *Lita
The song was written by Lemmy Kilmister of motor head,he was asked by Ozzy to help him write a tribute to his wife Sharon which Ozzy always called her Momma cause of the way she took care of him and how much Love he has for her.
Ozzy has several deep emotional songs:
"Back on Earth"
"I Just Want You"
"See You On The Other Side"
"Dreamer" (this one has some strong John Lennon vibes)
"Road to Nowhere"
just to name a few.
Also:
Goodbye To Romance
Black Sabbath
Changes
"See you on the other side" IS ANOTHER KICKASS SONG !! Sad - 🎵 Did he write that one for Randy??
Ordinary Man
"Here for You" is another one he sung for Sharon
Great Reaction. I am a big Ozzy fan. This is a great one. I highly recommend "Close my eyes forever " with Lita Ford and "Breaking all the rules"
Love the content!
Lzzy Hale joined Lita on this song when I saw them on tour in 2016, Lilac also covers this and the above did amazing jobs on this beloved song in Rock.
I’ve requested that several times
Back in 90-92, while stationed in Japan, the one TV channel for US military personnel, used to show the return flights information while playing three different song in rotation every single evening: Home Sweet Home by Motley Crew, Flying in a Blue Dream by Joe Satriani and this song.
Thinking about my beloved wife and son, it made me yearn for my return home.
Oh, this song still hits me!
I loved that song. Ozzy has a beautiful voice. He did a duet with his daughter Kelly "Changes". It's a gorgeous song. Maybe you could react to that. ❤💙🎙🎵
One of the craziest yet beautiful love stories is the love between Ozzie and Sharon. Gone through hell and high water time and time but they're still standing.
Great video. Happy Mother’s Day
Since my Mom passed, this song has been a regular tear-jerker for me at times. IMHO, his best song. It was merely a 'good' song - until Mom passed.
I feel you I'm sorry about your mom I think of my mom when I hear this song I start weeping the first note of the song
One of my favorite Ozzy songs. Hope he is on the mend..... Thanks guys.
I have a soft spot for Rock Ballads. Ozzy are so good. I love this song. I just about jumped off my chair when I saw you two were going to review this one. He has so much passion in his voice with this song. OH, right to my heart
Another great slow song by Ozzy is,
See You On The Other Side
Another really really great "ballad" by Ozzy is actually a duet with his daughter Kelly called "Changes". It'll surprise you!
That's already a Black Sabbath song. I don't care for their version. That "We goin' through changes" is annoying.
Fun show to watch is Ozzy and Jack world tour.
Happy Mother’s Day!
This whole album is GREAT! No More Tears, Road to Nowhere are favorites as well.
Check out Ozzmosis for more 90's Ozz.
My Favorite is "It Gets Me Through"
Yeah that album kicks ass!
Hellraiser is great too!
"My Jekyll doesn't Hyde" and "Thunder Underground" are great from Ozzmosis!!!
I had an amazing song come back on my radar. It's 80's iconic and has saxophone:
Glenn Frey, You Belong To The City.
You'll love it.
Wife here..My favorite Ozzy song and video..Beautiful!!!..Thank you!!..
"Close My Eyes Forever" (featuring Lita Ford) definately recommended.
There’s something about Ozzy’s voice that is so unique and almost mesmerizing….love Ozzy!
Talking about not expecting this side of Ozzy, you've got to listen to him singing "Staying Alive" ... I'll never forget the first time I heard him yell 'ALL ABOARD...the DISCO TRAIN ' 😁
Ozzy had one top 40 hit. How about checking it out. "Shot in the Dark is the song.
Saw him n 86 and Metallica opened for him! It was insane! There's a song he does with his daughter, Kelly, called Changes! Omg perfect for Mothers Day! Happy Mothers Day, Amber!
My favorite song by him. Loved Ozzy since I was 10 years old and I am 55 now
52 here..... Hello From The San Rafael Swell Utah 🇺🇸
This was definitely about Sharon!!
Another powerful song from Ozzy, that includes acoustic guitar, is "You Can't Kill Rock and Roll.
Ozzy Osborne and Lita Ford duet: "If I close my eyes forever" (original video). ❤️
Yes!!!! This one is a must!
ruclips.net/video/Ua-3H7-QRtM/видео.html
I thought they heard that one. Ozzy and Lita wrote it, together. He wrote the lyrics, and she wrote the music.
Great song
@@RayfordRaySiegel oh, I didn't realize that. 👍🏻
We played this and Motley Crue Home Sweet Home on the plane ride back from Afghanistan. These songs have a special place in my heart. Great reaction. Thanks y'all.
From the "No more tears" CD, that title track along with this one was by far his MOST COMMERCIAL songs that hit radio.............both big hits
As others have said, Ozzy is a genuine rock god. Others may have mentioned this too: Sharon called Lemmy, singer, bass player and lyricist with Motorhead, asking him to write seven songs for Ozzy, for $100,000. Lemmy said "where do I sign?!"
Though Motorhead's music is known for the fast rock n roll (as Lemmy called it), early thrash/metal/punk, Lemmy could write great ballads too.
He wrote the seven songs, Ozzy used four - this was one of them.
Was lucky to see Ozzy with Zak Wylde in the 1980s, then finally reunited with Black Sabbath in 2013. Both great gigs.
You guys should do the song close my eyes forever. It's a duet with Lita Ford and Ozzy Osbourne.
Ozzy has a lot of emotional songs. Road to Nowhere, Time after Time, Goodbye to Romance, Fire in the Sky, All my Life and Ordinary Man are all songs that showcases the depth of his music most people aren’t aware of.
This whole album has one of my favourite sounding guitar tones.
I sing in an Ozzy tribute band the crowd always loves this one .
I love Ozzy! Some other great songs - Dreamer, Close My Eyes Forever and Shot in the dark. And many more :) Thanks!
"Crazy Train" is still my favorite Ozzy song, but this whole No More Tears album is great!
When you guys get the chance, you absolutely have to check out a song known as Hero, it doesn't have an official title as it's a hidden track from No Rest for The Wicked. you will absolutely will not regret it!!!!
One of my favorites songs of Ozzie's! 💜
OZZY OSBOURNE - "No More Tears" - Check it out off the same album as Mama
Zakk Wylde can shred on guitar. But this solo also demonstrates his experience in playing tastefully. His string bends are spot on,no fast notes and he even tosses in a tribute to the Hotel California guitar solo at the end. Arguably my favorite Ozzy song.
Thank you. Give the Wylde man his due! He also co-wrote these ballads with Lemmy and Ozzy
Some of Us know who Zack IS! kuddos for knowing that
Zakk Wylde is an amazing guitarist and in person? One of the sweetest people you'd ever want to meet.
I wish this had been the live version. Zakk and his bell-bottomed leather pants is quite a sight...minus the grizzly adams beard.
A clean shaven, baby-faced Zakk is so pretty ☺
Eh. He bends too much and it's annoying .
Randy will always be the GOAT .
Personally, my favorite song of his is ‘See You In the Other Side’.
But this is up there as one of my favorites as well.
Popular song among the military returning home from deployments. Also try See You On The Other Side.
You can't go wrong with Ozzy. That unmistakable voice!
Listen to Changes
@@thorolsen8057 I love that song!!!
This song was written by Lemmy from Motorhead for Ozzy.
It looks like he co-wrote it with Ozzy and Zakk Wylde.
Ozzy wrote this song with Zakk Wylde and Lemmy Kilmister.
Great choice on Mothers Day. Love Ozzy.
As a power ballad, this is about as best as you can get! Ozzy, you did GOOD with this one!!!
The song lyrics were written by Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead.
Ozzy and Lita Ford close your eyes forever
Fire in the Sky is another great one with a lot of emotion. One of my favorites, and there are many from Ozzy.
Changes is another great sensitive song from Ozzy, he and his daughter Kelly sang it together at some point and it was very emotional for me, especially being a daddy’s girl and it hit even harder after losing my dad. You guys really need to react to that version!!
A true banger very personal song for him 😊
Hos bass player during this period is Mike Inez, He joined ALICE IN CHAINS after this tour and album, ALICE IN CHAINS opened for Ozzy on this tour NO MORE TOURS/ TEARS, 30 years ago nearly
If you want to hear Ozzy doing a duet with Elton John,on his latest album there is a beautiful and moving ballad called Ordinary Man,the video is also emotional...
...with Slash also 😉
Pulls my heart strings every time.
@@loriwininger6263 exactly!,beautiful!🎸
This song is so emotional right now to cuz ozzy ain't doing too good he might not have too much longer with us
Whenever I'm away from wife(work, shop, visiting). I always text wife OZZY. When I'm leaving.
She cries everytime she hears this song.
ozzy (fire in the sky) is very groovy
Back in '02 or thereabouts my wife and I were at an Ozzfest show in Holmdel, NJ and at the time his wife Sharon was battling colon cancer. Towards the end of the show he dedicated this song to her.
Love Ozzy. My first live concert was back in 85’ Ultimate Sin Tour in Phoenix, Az. No More Tears is one of his best album. Saw that tour as well. I never missed an Ozzy Tour. God Bless Ozzy Prince Of Darkness...
No more tears is another must listen
Been waiting for this. I could run this back to back with "No More Tears" all day.
This song is always in my heart waiting on my boy to come home I have been waiting for 27 years. Love you Son , Mom
i'm 66 1/2 , been a huge fan since 1970. i would'nt want be young again and miss the 70's,
Well, that's certainly one way to remember Mother's Day.
To this day it’s one of my absolute if not my all time favorite song, I remember singing it with my father when I was 4-5 years old
" close my eyes forever " if ya already did it, how bout repeat Tuesday ,,,👍
Saw him at Oz Fest in the early 2000s. Love Ozzy. He doesn't get neat the credit he deserves. He was an outstanding vocalist.
I have seen Ozzy 7 times in concert over the past 30 years, this is one of my favorite songs!!🤘🤘
Ozzy: See You On The Other Side ...another deep, slow, meaniful Ozzy and Co. ..and one that will hit hard
That was for Sharon his wife. After a tour he was coming home.
This is what I requested to be played during my funeral. This is just a beautiful, emotional side of Ozzy.
Ozzy Rocks!!!!
His ballads are a big part of who he is. There’s alway a ballad or two on his albums.
Another great slower ozzy song is one he did with Lita Ford called “Close My Eyes Forever”. I’m not sure but I don’t think you guys have done anything by her yet. Good opportunity to ring the bell 😉. She has several hits but one of my favorites by her is “Kiss Me Deadly”
Ozzy is an amazing singer/ songwriter. He has done so many of my favourite songs.
A few ozzy suggestions for you;
Secret Loser, Desire, Shot in the Dark,
This song is also based on how Sharon pulled Ozzy from the pits of addiction after he was cut by Black Sabbath and helped him get his solo career started.... Lost and found and turned around by the fire in your eyes....
He wrote that song for Sharon. At the same time he told a very dear friend of mine that played the drums for him he had to behave and keep it calm. Rest in peace. Randy Castillo
So, Lemmy from Motorhead actually wrote this song for Ozzy. And Ozzy said he couldn't believe how perfect Lemmy captured the feeling between him and Sharon in this song.
Finally .....so happy to see you guys react to Ozzy, he does several ballads as a solo artist. But I do hope you react to some early Ozzy like I Don't Know, or Mr. Crowley so you can hear one of the very best guitarists in Ozzy's original music partner Randy Rhoads. He also does a beautiful ballad called Goodbye To Romance ....any of these greats I believe you will both enjoy....Happy Mother's Day to all.... peace, love, and happiness to all!!!
From your friendly neighbor from the north...
😎🙏❤🇨🇦
This is one of my favorite songs by him.
If you watch any of the Osborne family stuff you soon realize how.much Ozzy loves Sharon. They remind me of you two a little bit, with the banter. Great song. Thanks
