Paul Stanley who's singing lead on this song, was born with what's called Mycrotia. Which means when he was born he was born without his right ear. No ear canal. Nothing, He had surgery when he got older. He was totally deaf on the right side. And yet he can sing sing like this. Amazing.
Paul Stanley, the main singer for this particular KISS song, once told Oprah Winfrey when she asked why he slept with so many different women, that “practice makes perfect, and I’ve had A LOT of practice”…….lol. I enjoyed that answer…..lol🤣😂🤣.
Ok … my fav band of ALL time!!!.. mm where’s Donna Summer lol.. I was made for lovin you baby lol.. sorry man crush on star child lol.. that voice.. fuck yeah rock it baby lol.. hot mess !!
The group Kiss was formed in 1973 and this song was released the year I graduated from high school in 79. The group is considered hard rock, glam rock, heavy metal and shock rock. They are doing a farewell tour as of this time.
Fun KISS Fact: The guitarist in the huge silver outfit with silver face paint is the legendary Ace Frehley. Dimebag Darrell (guitarist from Pantera) had a tattoo of Ace Frehley on his chest. I have a tattoo of Dimebag on my right arm. Your Metal family can be huge and diverse for sure!
The lead singer is a very cool dude. He had a bad ear as a kid and everyone made fun of him and he decided he was going to be famous and he did a great job! Kiss army is still around!
Paul Stanley was so handsome to me . He’s the lead singer In this one . KISS are iconic have a cool story behind the music too. Gene Simmons and his family were on the reality series Gene Simmons Family Jewels, you may know him from there not sure .
When I was little I used to sing this song in the shower. Good luck trying to get this chorus out of your head. Paul Stanley did a duet with Sarah Brightman which is phenomenal. It's entitled Where the Lost Ones Go. Enjoy.
KIZZ Another Great Rock Group that Time as just Forgotten.... The KIZZ Army was really the first Great Fandom! When I was a Teen I received a mix tap with Oldies on one side and KIZZ on the Other... Seeing Gene Simmons the Demon playing that Bass brings back MEMORIES!
Hello KISS ARMY SISTER I'M one of the first KISS ARMY members joined when I got the form when I bought the Destroyer album in March 1976 it came inside the album jacket and NAVY Member 10 years as well this album really showcase Ace's song writing and singing abilities also it's the first KISS album where Gene and Paul didn't do all of most of the singing Gene only sang two songs on this album. The Dynasty was the last time Peter would actually play or sing on a KISS album the tour would be the last time the original members performed together until MTV unplugged 1995. This band is a huge part of my life these guys are my superheroes
Many a group disappeared down the Disco rabbit-hole at the time, although this presupposes that disco was a bad thing. When it was everywhere it probably felt like it! Dismissed for their face-paint and theatrics, this was exactly what attracted people to the band in the first place. And there were some decent rock-out tunes in there too. I was inducted into their sound as a child when my older brother seemed to own just about everything they'd ever even breathed on - although you wouldn't know it to look at him now.
This was Kiss' international disco hit in 1979... it was a departure from their brand of hard rock. It definitely alienated their hardcore fanbase in America.
This was the beginning of the end for the original line up. Peter didn't play drums on the album except for his song Dirty Living Anton Fig did the drumming. Bob Kulick did lead except for Ace's songs. Actually this would be the last album to feature Gene,Paul,Ace, and Peter as KISS. It would be 19 years until the original members would record a new album 1998 Psycho Circus.
Hi there from Co. If you really want to get to know them as a band they made a "campy" movie back in the late 70's called KISS Vs The Phantom in the Park. They even sing some of the songs they wrote.
Most KISS songs aren't this light or pop, this was a transitional period in their career. The original band was growing apart and they were not in a good place. But this got them into the Top Ten one last time before they broke up.
Keep up the good work Nubian queen ...keep on rocking keep talking and appearances...keep well keep alive and ride them notes sky high ...regards from across the seven seas xx
Seriously, like many have said, this is NOT representative of a KISS song. KISS at their best do get into the heavier, party-rock songs, like "Rock and Roll All Night", "I Love It Loud", "Detroit Rock City", "Shout It Out Loud" and "Lick It Up", but I've always loved this song. Waaaaay back in the day... back in the 70's there was Country, Disco and Rock 'n Roll. KISS' producer wanted KISS to do a more commercial song and nothing was more commercial than disco, but if you liked Rock, then DISCO SUCKED, and Paul Stanley, co-singer and Star Child of the band, wanted to prove how easy it would be to write a disco song and he and Desmond Child wrote the song in a few hours legend has it and it went on to reach No.1 status all over the world, Top 20 in the US and sold a million records, going gold in three months. Fun fact: Gene Simmons, the fire-spittin', literal axe-wielding bassist and Demon of the band KISS, once was in a serious relationship with Diana Ross, a bona-fide Queen of Disco.
Jayy, I love your channel! It was stated (or rumored) that KISS stood for 'Knights In Satan's Service'. Regardless of what it stands for, their an amazing group with many hits!
Love watching your reactions. We have a request if you will. Would love to see your reaction to AC/DC High Voltage (Rock & Roll) live at Donnongton1991. Simply awesome song and vvdeo. We'll be watching for it.
Holy cow! This was such a GREAT band. They're now a cash machine that people dont seem to mind about. I saw them in 77 and again on the reunion thing 90s. They were awesome. Now, its a bit silly....
I tend to agree, however, I'll tell anyone who will listen that no one puts on a more dazzling rock show than these legends. We were lucky to see them, and I feel sorry for future generations who won't get to see them live😥
I respected Kiss for the fact that they were icons in "rock" and did what many other bands did not do. That said I always found their songs super cheesy with cheesy lyrics. I do love the song Detroit Rock City for its energy. Also some old interviews are hilarious! Gene Simmons looking pissed off at Ace for being drunk in an interview was one of my favorites!
I have a reaction video. The band is Cradle Of Filth they are originally from Suffolk England in 1991, they are an extreme black metal goth band with a variety of styles, they celebrated 30 years in 2021 with their newest album Existence is Futile, Crawling King Chaos, Necromantic Fantasies and How Many Tears to Nurture a Rose are the best videos check them out you won’t be disappointed
HEY Jayy! Please watch and react to more KISS videos ok! Especially watch classic live KISS from the 70's to get the full appreciation for their showmanship, outfits, stage production and obviously the GREAT catchy songs!

Oh wow thank you for that info. He has an incredible voice, I just thought he had part of his ear missing. That’s phenomenal ❤️
Did not know that
I saw KISS 3 times in concert. They totally knew how to entertain a crowd. Beth, Love Gun, Heaven's on Fire are a must to hear!
Paul Stanley, the main singer for this particular KISS song, once told Oprah Winfrey when she asked why he slept with so many different women, that “practice makes perfect, and I’ve had A LOT of practice”…….lol. I enjoyed that answer…..lol🤣😂🤣.
In 40 years, this song has not gotten old...true Classic

This is when KISS went Disco in the late 1970s! Great song!
Hon I think you would have liked going to highschool in the mid to late Seventies when all of these groups and songs were new and hot!!
Paul Stanley has a very sexy voice, one of the best in rock back in his heyday.
Kiss trying to fit in the disco scene
The last line in the movie titled Detroit Rock City is, "Kiss would never make a disco song."
LOL...right!
Absolutely love it
