Fair is fair, I would like to answer those points. Physically I cannot outrun a teenager. Legally I cannot hold someone at bay with a weapon and worse in the eyes of the law; firing a warning shot. Those two things are at the top of the list of handgun violations. If your argument is for changing gun laws, we may not be able to find common ground as I am not for brandishing and or loosely discharging a weapon to begin with.

About 6 years ago, on our first date from our new apartment in New Rochelle, we left the theatre in New rock city complex, several plastic bottles filled with liquid were dropped on us from a parking garage. After about 2-3, the first full glass beer bottle came crashing mere feet from my girlfriends head. It happens all over, but some constant factors always occur. 1, she is always the target, as they don’t have the guts to target me, even if they could kill me, they are emasculated cowards who want to instill fear in her. 2, they have no regard for our lives, and no sense of possible consequences for actions, only immediate actions are thought of, with no sanctity for other humans lives. And last but not least, 3, always... YOUNG...BLACK... MALES. In fact, with older black men, especially immigrants, they usually have convos w me, creepy yes, but show that they value a fellow human, even a white. Give the vibe of jealous, but congrats, almost a welcome to the team vibe, or they say wow you must be packing. However, with the African AMERICAN, fatherless culture, they have no guilt when they see a girl or woman fearing them. They are raised by single mothers, and see only their mother deal w people in fights, and they take pleasure in scaring women, even their own race they claim to care so deeply for. If you instigate a fight, and then try to withdraw or stop the fight, and the other guy keeps hitting you to the point where you’re in reasonable fear for your life, you can absolutely use lethal force to defend yourself. So even if Zimmerman started the fight, once Martin had him on the ground and started beating his head into the pavement, who started the fight didn’t matter. Martin chose to escalate the situation to the point where deadly force became a legally viable option.

You don't have to listen to a non-emergency police operator, they are not authority figures, they are just dispatchers. They said "We don't need you to do that", they didn't make any authoritative commands to him stop following him, but regardless, he did stop following when Martin took off. It was when Zimmerman was approaching his truck again that a violent altercation broke out, and considering Zimmerman had just told the dispatcher that Martin had took off, all that could have happened was Martin circling back and attacking him, like Zimmerman testified. The ENTIRE point is, the case was about self-defense plain and simple. Zimmerman was on the ground, yelling to his neighbors for help getting beat on and then finally took out his gun and defended himself with force. That's all. If you think he should have lied there still and let his head get smashed in for the sake of political correctness, you don't understand self-defense law, you are responding emotionally to something you consider socio-political rather than a criminal defense case. You don't get to physically attack someone for following you, and that person isn't guilty of second degree murder if they defend themselves.
