- Your gonna wanna put these AdOrAbLe “Sleepy Time Bears” on your to-do list for sure!
They are 11” tall and 7 1/2” wide. They are so soft and cuddly and are extremely cute!
I used my 46 needle and my 22 needle Addi machines but if you only have the 48 needle Sentro, give it a try! I’m sure it will work out beautifully!
Thanks for watching and Happy Knitting!

Danke für die tolle Anleitung…habe seit zwei Tagen eine Prym 22 und ihre Videos helfen mir …ichliebe diese Püppchen…😊
I just finished this sleepy, chubby bear. It came out great! I did have trouble following you for the legs. Normally I have no trouble seeing exactly where you put your stitches, but with this one you went really fast through that part. Thank you for all your patterns and tutorials!
I also have a chubby bunny. Watch that one. Maybe it will help.
Sorry it was difficult.
I’m making one of these now! So cute
One of the 1st things I ever made. I gave it to my stepson's girlfriend's grandson...whew...anyway, one of her dogs got ahold of it but luckily, didn't do any damage. The grandson loves his Bebe. I think I might need to make another, so she'll have a backup! 😍
Fun story! 💕
❤😂it was awesome to watch you make him/her. My next project is going to make this sleepy bear
💕
Thank you so much for all your videos. I love how you show step by step. I have learned a lot from your videos. And I love all you do. Thanks again. ❤️ God Bless
Thank you so much! 🥰
Awwww, this is so cute.
I love your little bear. I would have liked to see the entire project especially as a newbie who learn best visually. Nonetheless, awesome. Love your skills
Thank you. I find that if I show the same technique in multiple videos, it takes a lot of length to record and I have a lot of trouble downloading. I mentioned how many rows to make the beanie and that you do it the exact same way as you did the bear body. You just don’t close the bottom end.
The face was also done on two other videos so repeating it was something I chose not to do in order to save on video length again. So sorry for the inconvenience. I know it’s tough when your learning.
Here is the link to the face. It’s near the end of the video. Thank you for tuning in to my channel. I appreciate it. I also have a video on how to make a beanie. Just follow that and only do 60 rows. Hope this helps.

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻♥️♥️thanks again. Love this cute bear.
😍
These are just the cutest things!!
I sold and gifted quite a few of them. I crocheted a sleepy time bear or two a few years back so I thought I’d figure it out on the machine.
@@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet Well, I'm glad you did!
to cute!!!! thanks for sharing. Have to make some now!
Enjoy! Thanks for watching!
So adorable! Thanks for sharing! ❤️
For your yarn that tends to be more static, try using a piece of dryer sheet- fold it over and hold your yarn in between the layers. You can also use a cloth lightly dampened with diluted fabric softener.
I'm a walking static ball- this helps me a lot!
Thank you! Good suggestions.
I’ve done the first but will try the second for sure whenever I need a static solution. 🥰
I love your bear. It is so cute. Thanks for sharing your video
Your welcome! Thanks for watching. Please consider subscribing if you haven’t already. I will post regularly. 🙂
Hello, I am awaiting my Addi 46 and 22 from Amazon today! So I searched for crafters on utube and found your channel. Thank you for sharing your designs and your

I will definitely have to try these! I learned from another lady, hold a dryer sheet in your hand and let the yarn run through it. That stops the static. ❤
It does. 🥰
I love the bear, I am going to try this.
I’m so happy to hear that. 🥰
Adorable
Thank you!
He’s cute, unique and precious. 😂
🥰thank you!
These are too freaking cute
Haha! Thank you!
Oh my they're so cute & I'm eager to create a couple for my two granddaughters who are almost 4 & 2. Thank you so much Shelley for sharing your awesome talents with us honey :D
Thank you Tina!❤️ please show us in the group. Your granddaughters will love them! 🥰
That would be great 😊
Fabulous work
Thank you so much! 🥰
❤❤❤muy lindo trabajo 🎉
I love your videos!!!!
Thank you so much!❤️
Es un osito muy tierno!, siguiendo las instrucciones por el traductor, creo que podré tejerlos. Gracias por el video 🤗
Your very welcome😊
Hi Shelley. I want to make a huge cat pillow ( size of bed pillow). So will be watching for ideas on how to do it with a 4 weight. You have great ideas!❤❤
I love teddy 🧸
Thank you!
I really like your videos
Thank you very much!
I add a solid contrasting color at the 47 mark that will mark the boby cinch place and then use the yarn to cinch with. Saves taking a needle and trying to needle around for the head and body.
Yes, that’s a great idea!
So far in two days I made five of your latte hats, well 6 because I made one for my husband in different yarn with no tension. I made your twisted headband and grandma Mary’s slippers. All came out beautifully. This is my next project. But I don’t have the little Addi only the king. I’ll have to hand knit or crochet the little bits.
Anyway thank you. Happy holidays.
That’s awesome! 🥰
Merry Christmas 🎄
Run yarn through dryer sheet for staticky yarn best
Yes, that works too. There are a lot of little tricks. Thanks for commenting.🙂
What brand of yarn did you use? So pretty and I like the look of the texture. Thank you.
It’s all in the video. 😊
These are sooo cute! Thank you for sharing 😊 How much do you sell them for?
I haven’t decided yet but likely $20-$25.
Kan ik deze ook maken met de sentro 40 ik vind hem heel leuk
Sorry 😢 I don’t understand.
This is very cute. How many ounces of yarn will I need for the body?
Sorry, I have no idea how many ounces. So sorry! It doesn’t take much yarn at all.
Very nice video. Easy to follow. What's the yarn you used?
Thank you 😊 It’s all in the video.
Have you ever had problems with your black permanent marker rubbing off on the yarn? I had been contemplating coloring my first peg with nail polish, but marker would be so much easier.
Never had a problem. 😊
Cutie lol can u tell me where you got your needle with loop love to get some type of
It is a metal wool needle. I get them from Walmart or Amazon. My favorite! 😍
@@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet wow fast reply got them on Amazon ty
In your opinion which is better the Addition or the sentro?
The price will tell you everything, haha! No question the Addi. However I do also love my Sentros.
Is there a substitute for the Bernat forever fleece finer yarn, because I'm having a problem finding this yarn. Also, how much yarn did you use? Thanks
They have discontinued it but just use your favourite yarn.
These are large balls but I think 198 g would be sufficient.
Love it and thanks for a fantastic video and instruction
Because it keeps the shape of the hat nicer and a child could also feel that there is an ear. Lol! I do it because I want every part of the project to be complete. ❤️
thanks - and where do I find the "face crochet" video please
On my channel….😊

Am I the only one looking at the wrong side thinking to use it inside out it would be a pretty yarn for a hat?
Your being creative. It likely would be beautiful. 🙂
Well, yours has a short stomach, mine has skinny arms. Lol💜💜💜
We are all different! 🥰🥰
Did I miss a step? How many rows for the ears and which mahine
Minute 8:22.
I was calling the cast on “long tail” I have corrected that in newer videos.
I have a question how many rows for the ears? Did i miss the part?
At minute 8:26 🥰
What thickness of yarn (UK) do you use for this sleepy bunnie please
In Canada it’s a bulky 5
What are your thoughts about only making one ear…..
I don’t think it’s a good idea because the ear keeps the hat up. You also see the form of the second ear. If there was no ear the hat would be flat against the head on that side and it would look funny. Also, if this is something the child plays with for years and the hat gets tattered it would be nice to have a two eared bear. 💕 my vote is to make 2.
Can the bear hat be used as a baby hat for the recipient?
I sew the beanie on but you wouldn’t have to. I would sooner make a second one that’s matching.
If you are sewing the hat on to the head do you really need two ears?
Yes, for two reasons …
1. It still shows the shape. Without it the hat would be flat to the head and you would notice there is no ear underneath.
2. If the hat was ever torn, got a hole, ripped off etc then the bear would be complete without it.
Hahaha! Make sense?
I made the hat on my 46 with 60 rows and it’s too big. What # of rows would you recommend? I don’t have a 40.
Number of rows only affects the length. Not the width. The 46 needle is likely too wide.
Darn! The written explanation says you used your 22 and 46. So it’s really the 46 and 40.
Sorry, I went back and watched the video. I made this a while ago and forgot off hand what I used. I actually did use the 46 needle machine. But I used a 3 weight yarn.
If you are finding it too big then tighten your tension.
I got some 💴 for my birthday so I ordered the sentro 40! 😂. I’m in love with machine knitting. 😂
Yay! Me too! Haha
Is there written pattern please
No there’s not. Just in the transcript in the description below the video.
Can you do this on a 40?
I’m sure you can. I haven’t done it but maybe reduce the row count by 10 so it won’t be long and narrow. Experiment with row count and follow the rest of the pattern as is.
how many rows for ears?
It’s all in the video. 🥰
How many rows for the ears? It is not in the video.
It is. Several times. 🙂
I would like to buy two bears for my grandkids
A blue an white one and a green an white one
How can l order them ?
Sorry I don’t sell in line.
Is there a pattern for making a loom knit sleepy time bear
Not yet! Maybe I should do that soon. 😊
That would be great 😊
Pattern will be coming out on RUclips tomorrow. 🥰
Thank You very much! I appreciate you!
My pleasure 😍
Very hard to hear
In what way ?
I like what you do. But there's a problem when instead of showing you have to go to another tutorial to show How to do the step? What's your supposed to be doing in this project?
Sorry that you think of it as a problem. I have done that in only one or two of all the videos I have made for you.
Some videos are long and it takes days to create a video so by asking you to take a few moments to click on another video that I have already made that goes along with this video, should not be a problem. Sorry you feel that way.
