I made my first one today. It turned out to be so adorable I wanted to keep it. So, I guess I will be making many more of them for my grands and great grands. Thank you Shelley for getting me started on this amazing journey with my Addi/Sentro machines and yarn. I watch your videos daily and follow along.

Hi Shelly, I had to do the drawstring totally different than in your tutorial because I was constantly dropping stitches when I switched back to the main yarn and not sure why that was happening. After 7 tries, I just added the drawstring with the main yarn for one round. It's probably not the best way to do it, but it worked.

I can't wait for my machine to arrive! The cuddle bear is so cute, When casting on or castingoff I will use a row of nylon thread, as I used in the flat bed machine I had, as a row in between the main yarn and scrap yarn. This makes it so much easier to remve the scrap yarn as the nylon thread pulls out very easily. Best to pick up the stitches first though!

@@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet It is a special nylon yarn made for use on a flat bed knitting machine if using waste yarn. It is flexible as any yarn, not inflexible as, say, fishing line. It works well. I need to buy some more now as I can't find the card with the longer length on it. It is a pity we can't post photos here otherwise I could show you what it looks like. I use it for my knitted toe up socks and what a sanity saver it is!

I actually think I know what you mean. I was recently gifted 3 flat he’d machines and every accessory you can think of as well as buckets of cones of yarn. I have replaced the sponge bar in only one so far but have the bars for the other two as well. I tried and tried to cast on and it’s a mess. I tried that line that I think your talking about and it snapped so I’m guessing it’s had it’s day.

    Hi Shelly,
I only have the 48 Sentro so I cannot make the ears and arms. Is it possible to do just panels on this larger machine and then make them into tubes? If it is, would it be possible to ask you to do a video on what to do as I have only just got my Sentro and do not have the expertise yet to work it out myself. Many thanks in advance if you can do this.

    • @koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet

I have a video on how to make panels. follow that and just do the amount of rows the pattern calls for. Once of the machine then seam up the side and continue on.
If you can get a 22 needle machine, the Sentro is not that expensive, that will be a game changer for your knitting experience.

I do not have a pattern for them using the larger machine. You would just have to crochet them and add them. I don’t have a specific pattern. Sorry.

You really have to just try it. Make the arms and ears over a 22 needle flat panel and join the edges to make a tube. 🙂
