Baby Beanie 0-3 & 3-6 months ~ Addi, Sentro, Circular Knitting

- Your gonna love making these adorable beanies.
When the cuff is up the beanie will fit 0-3 months.
Fold the brim down and it becomes a Bonfire Beanie that will fit 3-6 months or more.
Made on the Sentro 40 needle machine but will be just as perfect if it’s made on the Addi 46 needle machine.

Great Video. I have made quite a few newborn hats from that yarn, they turn out so cute. The yarn is: Craft Smart Value Multi, Color is Bluebird. It's a Medium 4 weight, 100% acrylic yarn.

Yes, it would. The circumference would be a bit bigger but I have made every size beanie on the 46 needle and the 48 will just make it slightly bigger.

my grandchild is 4 months old and that size of hat would be too big and 22 needle machine too small just have to knit with needles
You can make newborn hats on the 46 needle and they are not to big. 😊

Can you use the 32 needle Sentro machine or would the 40 work better for baby hats?
The 40 is definitely better. I think the 32 would be too small.
Is it possible to make a baby sized hat with the sentro 48 needle machine? I have the 48 and 22.
Not with the 22 but use the same row count on your 48. It will be a bit wider but I can’t imagine that two stitches would make that much of a difference. So I’d say yes.
The 22 one will make a premier hat and hand mitts for a baby.

Follow the video the same way and just use the 48 machine. Make it with medium tension.

What is the difference between the sentro and addi that you bought the sentro?
I have them all. The sentro 48 makes a bit wider beanies than the 46 needle Addi but I definitely didn’t “need” both! Lol
