- This Happy Rainbow beanie is made on the 48pin Circular Knitting Machine. It is a 4 stitches by 12 rows repeat pattern making it suitable for use with any circular knitting machine that can divide its pins by 4. Example. the 32 mushroom, the 40 and 48 pin machines are the perfect choices.
Do try this tuck configuration for the Addi 46. For the first 4 rows. tuck pins 4,8,12,16,20,24,28,32,36,41,46. 2 rows white, next 4 rows, tuck 2,6,10,14,18,22,26,30,34,39,44. 2 rows white. Wear the part with the wider colored columns at the back of the head where it is least stretched out.
I made this beanie with rows of 4ply colored acrylic yarn to indicate the repeat sections. A total of 4 pattern repeats totalling 48 rows for the colorful parts, starting from the top of the beanie. Switching back to the main color for the brim and lining. This pattern uses the tuck stitch, which is formed by flipping the stitch up into the gap between the 2 little legs and the pin. Do not use yarn that is too thick for the machine. Nothing more than 6ply as the gap cannot hold too many stitches. DK is best. Video shows the entire process with repeated parts sped up to shorten the time.

Thank you for the 💖💖
This is so beautiful, I have to be very careful doing this pattern. Love the tutorial.
Start with 1.5 repeats 18 rows total, (or 3 colors for easier understanding).
Gracias está muy interesante tu video. Lo haré y te etiquetaré. Gracias.
Thank you
Why can't this be done on the 22 needles knitting machine?
Can, you gotta readjust the pin numbers to tuck like what i wrote for the addi 46. Also, the diameter for the 22pin will be like the size of a cup. It'll be fine if you are making it for a doll, like gnomes, made using the 22pin.
I would have liked to see how you finished the hat.
It's double-lined, cinched on the other end, tucked inside the outer layer, and stitched to close at the top where we usually place the pom.
It was very hard to follow
Do slow the video down at the settings. Which part of the beanie do yoh need help with?
