I just want to take the time to say. I love your video’s I been off work for two days now and all I been watching at 3am (life of a graveyard/overnight worker lol) are your tutorials they are great and very informative. Thanks for sharing. ❤️Peace and Blessings. ❤️
Hi Sharon, that's lovely to hear, so glad they're of use to you. Tough shift overnight......my hubby often does them too. All the best and thanks for being here. Caz
I am delighted to have found you tutorials. You are an inspiration. Got my CKM only a few weeks ago and have been seeking to introduce some sort of patterning. Learning on simple plain knitting with colour stripes was becoming a bore. You have opened my mind to many textured possibilities. YIPPEE Thank You so much . If I stumble onto something new as I experimen, I will pass on my results.
Fabulous Barbara I'm so glad you found me too. You'll never know what you'll discover experimenting it's lots of fun, even the ones that don't work out teach you something. All the best and thank you Caz
You amaze me. I'm just starting on a machine. I had no idea you could make all these stiches. Can't wait to learn basics so I can try all that you do. Thank you for sharing you're a great teacher
Very pretty pattern. Looking forward to making it for some gifts! Thank you so much for sharing. New subscriber here. Cheers from across the pond in FL😺
Found your page on news feed! I’m so excited to try this ❤️got so tired of the regular simple knit. Your page has so many beautiful designs for the addi! I’m subscribed ❤
I cast on and do 4 rows to start. Then I do if I recall 36 rows or so of the pattern. I then go back to normal stockinette to finish the liner and the brim. Anywhere between 70-80 rows is my go to but you can alter this to suit yourself of course. Hope this helps
I am working on the Sentro 48 version as I type this. Hopefully will have it uploaded tomorrow or the day after. So if you hit the bell icon you will get a notification when it is ready. All the best Caz
Hey Caz, your videos are amazing for the Sentro/Addi machines, I would have just given up on the machine after a week if it could only do the same pattern. However, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this pattern and want to make this beanie but have the Sentro 48 pin. Normally I've seen your videos give tips/instructions for using both machines but this is 46pin specific. Can I make it on my 48 pin or not? Also, can this pattern be made as a panel. I want to start creating panels from your patterns using 48pin sentro, so I can create blankets, shawls, throws, cardigans etc etc :)
Hi and thanks I'm so glad you're enjoying my various patterns. You'll find one adapted for Sentro in my playlist. I have plans to do some videos on flat panels using my designs asap.
Very pleased you replied to my response. Thanks. Why I am interested in the circular knitting is because | want to make Gent's knee high stockings. You know how we Scots like to supply good cosy leg warming necessities for our KILT WEARING menfolk. Is there a chance that you have an adaptable pattern for these. If not, I will have to spend a lot of time experimenting through the spring months this year. I have two machines to play with. A PRYM MAXI 44 needles and a smaller 32 needle ' MUSHROOM HOUSE ' I am planning to get a 22 needle next as | want to produce small items for tiny 'prem' babies for our local maternity unit. Next door, my neighbour is a busy midwife. From the range of machines on the RUclips tutorials, it seems the ADDI is quite a popular and satisfactory machine. I might give it a go too, and I do like the attached row counter. I haven't gotten into the way of a thumb clicker yet. OOPS... LAZY and CARELESS I'm afraid. Do you recommend an electric power tool as well.? HAPPY DAYS !!!
Socks sound amazing. I haven't as yet but it is on my immense to do list which I am trying to work through. These knitting mahcines are addictive I can attest to that. The Addi's are a more robust machine most definitely esp if you intend to cracnk out a lot of work. I ocassionally use a 4V screwdriver I bought in Aldi or Lidl they don't go too fast, probably about as fast as the fastest hand crank. Hope this helps a little
I'm trying to follow but I keep getting lost at row 10. Wrap 2, knit 3 for 8 and end on a wrap two would mean we start row 11 on a wrap 2?... Or should the end of row 10 end with a knit 2 so that the repeat for rows 1-5 start with a wrap 2?
Dropped stitches are a pain I agree. I always start my projects with the pattern with this in mind, esp since I've been having problems with my Addi recently, that way I don't have so much to frog lol But keeping an eye on the position of the yarn under the hooks does help. Hope you give one of my patterns a try sometime. Maybe trailing Ivy would be a good one to start on if you haven't had a go as yet. All the best Caz
;; dang. Okay this looks incredible but I feel like that’s a lot of work? And isn’t it hard to maintain the tension perfectly throughout? I know sometimes if you let the yarn go just a bit it creates these waves in the row and I have to go back and redo it all cuz it looks all weird.
Thank you it is an amazing design if I say so myself. It takes some concentration definitely but well worth the end result I think. I've had no issue with tension myself, Ijust keep the yarn just touching the pins and all works out fine. All the best Caz
It's a pattern I had in my mind after creating Helter Skelter pattern so set out to create it. Took a while to work out esp for the Addi. Brain ache!! I'm happy for anyone to create items using the pattern but a credit and/or link to my pattern is very welcome of course.

Great design,Can we use this pattern on a flat panel ?
I've not tried it on a flat panel. I'm sure it's doable, but with some tweeks I suspect.😀
Question, when do you knit the briim of the hat?????? Many thanks. So excited to try this pattern!!! again many thanks!!

So i have a question when you go to repeat the pattern do you start off again with wrap 2 knit 3 without the extra 2 knits for the first 5 rows again?
Would love to try this pattern!!
Hope you give it a go it really is fabulous I have to say 😁
Can this pattern also work as a flat pannel or does it have to be circular?

Ok, so ending row 10 with a wrap 2, then also starting the next row with a wrap 2?

Is the wrap a purl stitch?
Honestly not being a hand nitter I'm not sure how it translates but it's a very interesting question I wish I knew the answer to

My only issue with patterns like this is knowing how to correct dropped stitches if you dont catch them right away.
