Can you tell me why you knit 7 rows between the crossing? The pattern shows 5 rows.

Because we cannot cross at the first row. There wont be sufficient elasticity in the yarn to pull the 4 stitches to the pins we want to cross over to, and run the risk of breaking those plastic needles. We have to knit into the middle of the next repeat (the plain knit rows), drop the stitches down back to the 6th row, to do the crossing. Hope this explains it.

@myorganiclife thank you that explains a lot! One more question 😊 when you have a very loose tension, are the rest of your stitches also very loose? I will try to make a sweater, but i don't want the rest of my panel loose stitches. Is that possible?

You can tension the yarn differently on the stitches where youre not going to cable.
