This is a good way to make a nice scarf without a ribber. Thanks for the excellent video.

This is indeed a good pattern to get a lovely, FLAT, scarf - with no wrong side! - on our Bonds. I use a DK weight yarn with keyplate 3 to make double thickness scarves of this type, which are very cosy indeed.

Thank you. I have really enjoyed watching this video. Your instructions complement the clear view of the needle bed, carriage and crochet hook technique. At the end is a complete scarf which will make a lovely gift. Kindest regards.

Enjoyed the video. Is there a reason you didn't take the needles out of work at the beginning, and alleviate the unravel step?

If you just take the needle out of work, the bar between the working stitches is actually shorter than if you drop the stitch. This means that if you want to leave the stitches out of work instead of dropping them you can, but you need to add more needles between the working needles so that the bars are long enough in the "out-of work" columns and there is enough ease to latch them back up.
