Ok, this is now going to be the only way I will make fingerless gloves on my circular knitting machine! Your grafting instructions were so easy to follow, and the stretchy edge is just perfect. Your tutorials are really top-notch. You speak clearly and slowly, the camera angles are great, and you really know your subject matter! (When I first watch the videos, I’m tempted to cheat and maybe cut out some steps, but I don’t ~ the tips you include are what make the end result look so nice.) Thank you so much for this pattern!
I just wanted to say thank you so much for all of your wonderful videos. As I'm having fun with my new Sentro I don't even search RUclips anymore when I have a question, I just go to your channel because I know you'll have the answer! 😄
Hi Mary. I will be making these for my granddaughter. Thank you for the clear instructions in your tutorial. You're teaching methods are A+. Thank you for all you do for us.❤
Thank you, thank you 🙏🏻 Ive done 3/4 pairs of these now and even done a version with a few extra rows for the finger section, to make slightly longer, and shortened up the cuff section too (for my sons) The graft is fabulous and so easy to do. Great tutorial and you explain it so well 🤗🧶
This design does 45 rows total for each tube. For longer fingers I did an extra 10 rows then did my thumb hole (1.5inches wide) 3-4 inches in from the end seam 🤗🧶
Your instructions are very easy to follow. I’ve been working on hats and scarves for donations to charity drives where so live. I can’t wait to give this a try so I can add them to my donations.
just found you from recommended videos and I'm excited to try the grafting stitch - previously everything that I found was just to bind off using a larger crochet hook and even that has its limits on stretchiness
Wonderful, welcome! I hate things that are tight, so I have never liked the slip stitch ends. This is good for me, not too loose but still has stretch.
Oh no, I can see that. I'm not sure how to help since I can't do anything left handed. Does it help to turn the tube so the tail is coming off the left side?
Would this pattern be ok for my 48 pin? i love it so much, just worried that an extra 2 pins may make a difference to the size (btw love all of your videos, as a teen who crochets and is about to start machine knitting, im so thankful to these tutorials!!
I love this! Can’t wait to make them! I was wondering the best way to make thigh high leg warmers for the ballerina in my life! When I have her try on a long tube of the 48 sentro it fits perfectly but how can I make it tight up top to keep secure on her thigh? Should I crochet a few rows onto the tube? Which stitch you think would be best? Also the bottom as well…. My brain is hurting thinking about this the last week! Lol
@LifeHacksbyStacy I'm not sure if you crochet also, but I followed this video to make the cuffs on my daughters leg warmers. It snugged them up pretty good and provided an interesting contrast. Best of luck with your daughters pair.
I will have to watch your video again because I was mesmerised by the drill....This is the only thing that concerns me - getting a stiff shoulder when hank cranking for long periods of time. Did you buy an adapter / attachment for the drill please? The gloves look great - I will have to give these a try, thank you x
Thank you for thos wonderful video. I really want to make these but my work seems so loose like the stitchs don't seem tight like yours. Any advise? Xxx😊
I have 1/2 ton of Caron 1lb skeins and have the hardest time with dropped and tucked stitches...any suggestions. Grafting tech is great use it all the time on my headbands. thanks in advance.
I would see how one fits. I'm guessing it would be too wide. You could always use a smaller machine, 40n. Or, you could make a flat panel. If you want to do this, I would make a sample and measure the width to determine how many needles to use.
Instead of a drill, I use a 4v cordless electric screwdriver with lithium-ion rechargeable battery. At just $10-$15 (at Walmart, Harbor Freight, Lowe’s, Home Depot, etc.), I have 2 of them so that I can continue knitting while the other one recharges. Charges last for about 6-8 hrs of knitting. My drill stripped the gears ⚙️ of a knitter! 😣 Tooooo much torque & speed…

I just used your method for stretchy cuffs. AMAZING. Thank you so, so much for sharing. And I love the whole pattern for the gloves.

& try them on! Gonna feel warm AND comfortable this winter!! 💕🤗💕
Glad you like them!
I loved watching your tutorial for the fingerless gloves. Thank you so much for sharing. Definitely a "keeper".
Thanks for watching!!
Grafting is also referred to as the kitchener stitch, and I use it all the time! Great tutorial!
Thanks!

I made a set with your pattern but red velvet Bernat yarn and white Bernat fluffy yarn, thank you for the pattern it was easy.
My mind is blown! So excited to try this!!
Do try it! It makes a big difference for stretchiness around the arm.
Just beautiful!!!
Thank you!
These are gorgeous!
I did the grafting technique yesterday after watching one of your videos. I found it very hard being left handed.
Oh no, I can see that. I'm not sure how to help since I can't do anything left handed. Does it help to turn the tube so the tail is coming off the left side?
Great instructions! I’ll be doing this next!

Yes, absolutely! It will make it a smidge wider but it's not really noticeable. (Thank you!!)
Loved this technique. ❤
Thank you!
So stinking adorable
Thank you!

You have options! You can crochet a ribbing on both ends or you can make a ribbing on or off the machine.
GREAT tutorial, thank you so much!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Cant wait to try grafting technique
I love the grafting 🤩
Thank you! I do too!
What size is this please? Thank you for sharing this. Excellent tutorial.
Thank you so much for all the details. I am new to the knitting machine. I watched so many videos, but you are the best.
Thank you so much!

Thanks! You can find the attachment that I use in the description above.
Can you use this technique for the hat band? I live in Florida and would like to make a 1 layer hat.
So smart to put a little box next to your nachine to rest your drill!!
It's a stack of card stock, lol.
Thank you for thos wonderful video. I really want to make these but my work seems so loose like the stitchs don't seem tight like yours. Any advise? Xxx😊
What yarn are you using?
@@CalumetKnits one off amazon. I am going to a haberdashery shop this week. It says 4 medium on the yarn xx
Love them ❤

I have not been able to get Caron Pound to work well in the machines. You'll have to babysit the knitting.
Hi
Thank you so much for the tutorial. What if I want to make these gloves for my toddler grandchild do u cast on the same no of stitches?
I would see how one fits. I'm guessing it would be too wide. You could always use a smaller machine, 40n. Or, you could make a flat panel. If you want to do this, I would make a sample and measure the width to determine how many needles to use.
@@CalumetKnits thank you so much for replying. I don’t have 40 needles so as suggested will try making it with flat panel. Hope it works.
What size is this pattern for and what machine did you use
So awesome
Thank you⚘️👍👍👍👍👍
You're welcome!
Love your videos. What is your drill laying on?
Thank you! It's a stack of card stock.
Is there a video for setting up the drill?
Hi Mary, which type of knitting Machine do you have? THNAK YOU
I have them all, but this one is the AddiExpress Kingsize machine.
Linda essa luva amei 😍
Thank you!
Great help❤️
So glad!
Is there an estimate of how much yarn it would take to make these?
About 175 yds
I don’t understand what the stitch markers in the white were for?
To mark the column of stitches to use for seaming. And, I used one to mark when to stop seaming for the thumb opening.
For some reason when I finished closing the cuffs, the sides no longer lined up 😭😭
Hello, what are the specs on the power drill you use? Thanks
Its a 12v drill.
Where did you get the yarn?
Joann Big Twist.
What size machine did you use?
The AddiExpress kingsize machine, 46n.
