The Skincare recommendations are good (I am a Cosmetic Scientist) to treat the MF once you have it, BUT it is rlly important to treat it from within too, to prevent them coming back. Folliculitis also exists in a bacterial form which can be from external factors (hot tub folliculitis or stress) so it is important to identify which type it is and what couldve caused it. The yeast form is an overgrowth of the natural yeast in our body which typically happens when we have an imbalance in our gut of good bacteria/bad bacteria which can come from many things such as hormonal imbalance (sometimes leading up to your period or being on/off the pill) or from taking antibiotics as these tend to kill good bacteria in our body too which allows for overgrowth of the yeast, leading to MF. Using Acidophillus which are good bacteria for the gut can help and i would say reducing moisturiser is definitely not ideal as applying moisturiser will help ur skin reduce the overproduction of sebum. Prior to finishing my Masters in Cosmetic Science i suffered from MF for 3 years and spent hundreds on a dermatologist in London who kept giving me antibiotics even though it was only getting worse as she didnt bother to test if it was caused due to bacteria or yeast and she just assumed it was due to bacteria (she was wrong).. i had to study it myself and I can safely say good products can help but looking after your gut is number 1. ❤️

@@noonecares4129 if you have access to buying it online, maybe you can get it before school starts because you won't have to worry about it not being there. However, you might have to wait like so much longer than it said it will take. My sister bought airpods online and when it said it was going to take 2 days, she was like, "okay, that's gonna be quick, can't wait." She even paid for faster shipment.. It ended up coming a month later. So, thing is idk if you can get it fast enough before school starts. Ordering online might not be a choice either, cuz I don't have access to that, but my brother and sister do, so I have to constantly ask them. That's a whole different topic tho. I really hope you find the CeraVe cleanser that you wanted to find tho:)
Jade Betts Diane 35!! This birth control helped my hormonal acne (it was already under control from accutane years ago but was creeping back and this birth control saved me)
hyram : "all my favorite niacinamide serums are sold out and i don't know when it'll be back in stock" does he realize he's the reason why it's all sold out :D
@Ashley61107 I'm a swammer as well, and the chlorine dried my skin TF out, he best thing for me has been to apply a thin layer of unrefined coconut oil immediately after I came out of the shower.. but again that's what worked for me I suggest just applying anything moisturizing that works for your own skin immediately after the shower to prevent your skin from overproducing sebum marinating in chlorine for 2-4hrs a day ain't easy on the skin, i get the struggle.
Even I get tiny bumps on my skin especially forehead. This is how I reduced them: Started using paper towels to wipe my face after facewash, kept my nails shorter, stopped touching my face frequently, applying oil free moisturizer, drink enough water. And also keep your hair clean and avoid applying hair products near your forehead or skin, this causes breakouts too.
I definitely agree with that yasss!! every time I stay consistent with drinking LOTS of water, not touching my face, changing pillowcases every 3 days minimum, and keeping my hair clean all of the steps make a difference when you just routinely do the basics!! (honestly tho, my main problem is probably not drinking nearly as much water as I should lol). if you want to try everything possible before buying lots of products try at least those steps first. it seems too simple to work like "duhh" but honestly just try it it's the whole routine that makes the difference. also works best when your mf problem isn't too major of course ;D
It annoys me how people can give like a thumbs down and they do it on purpose this man is trying to help you and you can give anything back quite rude tbh
Does anyone else have a mix of fungal acne and white heads on their forehead and jaw and also blackheads on thir nose and white heads and blackheads on their chin? Oh and pimples on their cheeks? This video is 100% true, the ingredients he listed in his description was stuff I used to help my acne. My acne is not as noticeable as it was before but those drug store products did get rid of those bumps on face. I currently do not have those bumps under my mouth and forehead. I still suffer with acne but the products helped me a lot. I am currently prescribed to medicine with my dermatologist and it's literally not as noticeable from what it was before but it's still there and I hope this last month on treatment gets rid of it. If not I will most likely take Isotretinoin. Been taking care of my skin for 4 years I am 16 :)
Hi! I have a quick question about fungal acne, I have it, and I have been using the niacinamide serum product for about a week, and nothing has really occurred. Am I doing something wrong? (This is my first time using skincare products by the way) Thank you so much!!!
When I went to the derm about this. He said “it’s normal for girls your age” then I gave up on the dermatologist and started figuring out on my own. THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO
I went to a dermatologist when I was 18 when I had cystic acne. She prescribed me doxycycline, retinol cream, and benzoyl peroxide. I explained to her I had sensitive eczema prone skin and the acne treatment made my acne worse and I got eczema at the same time. I came back 2 weeks and she saw my skin and apologized and gave me a bunch of free eczema products. I stayed on the doxycycline and that helped my skin alone and I also did curology too they put zinc in my formula.
same omg every time i go to the dermatologist they tell me the exact same thing ... like obviously this isn’t working if i still have acne and i’ve been seeing you for a year and a half lmao
My mum said the same thing but i know i have to do something and i’ll get rid of it on my own if she’ll not help anyways LMAO so hyram’s really helpful I’ve watched him for like 3 days now and I already feel so much more educated lol
HEY, yes you! Here is something you should never do if someone has acne: DO NOT point it out DO NOT say “wash your face” DO NOT just look at it and be grossed out! It is so rude to do. It has broke my confidence multi times, and I do not want any others to hear it and break their confidence. Thank you good bye.
Why do you think im hear A boy in my class just told me this today "You know you have red bumps on you face if you wash it they will disapear" Sereously you think i havent tryed that
My face was breaking out and I ending up trying to ‘pop’ some of them and my face had small somewhat like scabs on it since I messed with them... and I went with my bf to his moms house, (the first time she met me I was wearing makeup and possibly a mask) (she does nails) but we went over and one of the first things she says is “oh my gosh what happened to your face?” - “You need to wash your face” - “you need face wash?” - “I’ll take you to buy some face wash”... and i was nice considering it was one of the first times meeting her, I didn’t want to be a bitch. (this was hard, as i am extremely embarrassed and self conscious when my skin is like that) So I was just like “yeah I’m breaking out”, and “okay thanks”. We left and I told my bf that it embarrassed and came off as rude to me, he said that she wasn’t trying to be rude that she has struggled with her skin in the past and is just trying to help. Which I get, and appreciate. It’s just the way she came off to me. I didn’t appreciate it being pointed out. I don’t know. It hurt my feelings. Now I try to wear makeup when we see her so nothing is said. And she compliments me, “you look so pretty” etc, but only when I’m wearing makeup... makes me feel terrible about myself. I personally don’t think I am a bad looking girl, it’s just my skin isn’t always perfect. But I don’t like feeling like I need to wear makeup to be considered pretty or get compliments. It’s horrible feeling so self conscious. :(
i deal with fungal acne from bad immune system due to diabetes. it sucks so bad. I bought so many products (nearly worth $200) because I thought i had basic acne, combined with PIE. I was making the issue worse with the hydrating products. Almost a month later, i'm correcting it now and starting over with my routine -____-

As a teen I went to one but I think he was a scammer...but he had a whole office and a decent amount of patients. The one I went to would just rub dry ice all over my face and charge me $20 for it and give me a shitty topical cream that did nothing. This was back when I had terrible cystic acne and my face was literally red (family has a history of rosacea too) . Hyram's videos have been helping me so much better.
Ingredients to look for: Niacinamide, salicylic acid, sulfur, honey Things to keep in mind: 1. Don't over moisturize 2. Don't put alot of skin care products on your face. (Keep your skin care to a minimal. Less is more) 3. Please don't forget to remove sweat Thank you, Hyraaaaam 🥺💖
My mom recommended the shampoo to treat my fungal acne, I was super weirded out by it so I didn’t use it. I told her it wasn’t working even though I wasn’t using it. It is a few months later and I am still struggling with fungal acne, after watching this video I got the shampoo out and decided to use it. I will update everyday for 2 weeks. Day 1: obviously no change because it is only day 1, but excited to see if it works. Day 2: I actually see some improvement, it is really drying out my face tho Day 3: looks pretty much the same as yesterday Day 4: I decided to put the shampoo on and let it sit till dry and it worked really well! It isn’t gone but it looks a lot better Day 5: I honestly feel like it is getting worse now Edit: lol 9 months later….. umm I only consistently used it for like a week 😬 Ummm I still have acne 😂

Thank you Hyram, thank you again for curing my fungal "acne". I am in my late 30s and since my puberty i suffered from fungal acne on my forehead. I've never been correctly diagnosed. According to your recommandations I completely changed my routine et voilà - after 2 weeks I saw first results. Now its week 5 and my face skin was never better. Thank you.
@@haze3878 I checked also other dermatologists here on yt and bought products they recommanded (pay attention to active substance) and used them. Thats all.
I’ve been using PanOxyl Foaming Wash with 10% Benzoyl Peroxide on both my chest and back acne - it’s worked really well so far, and it’s only been like a week and a half! Some of my acne on my back is pretty deep, so of course it’s taking longer, but I’m amazed at the transformation of my chest and upper back! It’s been such a struggle and I’m so happy!
Allie K I was recommend PanOxyl by my dermatologist, and it worked really well, until I experienced a stinging pain after using it one night. I had already been feeling those stings from before, but it was so painful I just had to stop. I was wondering if you experienced the same thing? And if not, do you moisturize your back? 😅 weird question to ask someone, haha!
Definitely use an anti dandruff shampoo, head and shoulders works or even nizoral. But what also helped me was to EXFOLIATE, get an exfoliating washcloth or globe from target and use it every day!! This really saved me and it also helped my strawberry skin on my thighs
I came across your video on Snapchat about this and got curious about it, so I watched your full video here and did some research on my own about fungal acne. I have been struggling with little bumps on my cheeks for SO LONG. I've tried so many different things, and nothing has worked. After watching this video, little did I know that everything I was doing was probably helping the fungal acne grow and stay on my face!! Hyram, you are a life saver. I used that dandruff shampoo on my face ONCE so far, and the bumps on my face are improved by like 70% already! I definitely was not expecting that. I am so relieved I came across this video, and I appreciate you for shedding light on this issue and spreading the knowledge. Thank you!!!!

I've gotten better help and understanding here with you than the multitude of dermatologists that I have rotated through in the past 30. THIRTY. years. Thank you. I now understand exactly what happened, why, and what I actually CAN do now and what I want to never do again. Thank you. (think of this comment as an over-arching comment to your channel in general). Thank you. The utter devastation that my skin worked upon my emotions and mental health cannot be expressed. "This website is under heavy load (queue full) We're sorry, too many people are accessing this website at the same time. We're working on this problem. Please try again later." This is the power of Sir Hyram.
I struggled with forehead acne for a long time. I was around 12 when it started showing. Later I had tried so many products en even went to a dermatologist. However nothing worked. He took a look at my forehead and prescribed benzoyl peroxide. It did not do ANYTHING at all. After trying it for a few months nothing changed. I had a whole drawer full of products: lotions, spot treatments you can name it. I started doing my research on why it just never went away. So I started watching Hyram his videos years back. Later he learned me what ingredients to look for in a product and if it was low on the ingredient list, it wouldn’t just work how you wanted it to. I bought products that were cheap and didn’t do anything. I tried the shampoo but nothing. People always told me it wasn’t really visible because it were small bumps but I just think they wanted to be nice. The next thing they looked at my forehead while talking, what made me VERY insecure. I remember crying and hating myself for a period of time because I felt disgusting and frustrated. I hated myself so much that I didn’t even allow myself to wear clothes I liked. I hid my face and didn’t look people in the eyes. I stopped talking to people. It was that bad. Years later I tried one more time and started using The Ordinary niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%. The one he mentions in this video. I was probably 16 or 17. I was sleeping over at my grandparents house and remember texting my mom 3 days later after trying it every night saying: MOM IT WORKS I HAVE FOUND SOMETHING AFTER ALL THESE YEARS! And it went completely away when I also stopped eating cheese, chocolate, normal milk, meat, anything that was fatty. Now I’m 18 and eating whatever I want. I stay away from chocolate and milk. I am still really strict about what I eat. But I allow myself to sometimes eat fries or something. I’m a pescetarianism now (a vegetarian but still eats eggs, gelatine and fish) because I have chickens and dogs. So eating meat makes me feel sick. Maybe it will work for you too but remember everyone’s skin is different. I had a very oily skin type. When I didn’t wipe my forehead with a paper it would look like the grease of a grease pan 😅 right now I only use 3 products. I don’t wear make up but the first step of my skincare routine is using Garnier Micellair Rose water (Use this every night) Then I rinse it off. After I use that I exfoliate twice or ones a week with the Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant. Dab that inside your skin. The final product is The Ordinary niacinamide 10%. Use that every night too and Dab that inside your skin. What also helped was washing my bedsheet every night. I sleep on one side and the second night I flip it over. Then wash it and put a new pillow sheet over. I hope you succeed in finding the perfect skin products for your skin. Maybe my skincare works for you but if it doesn’t, don’t give up! You can always ask me questions if you want to. Good luck to you!!
I just bought my shampoo today! I live in Georgia where it's humid, I have oily and sensitive skin and I do instacart! It is the worst combination for my skin but I am going to use this on my hair, and on my face and I'm going to dial back the oils and stuff that I use in my hair to help my face. Thank you so much for this video!

Yup before quarantine I could find cerave everywhere I went. I went to go buy today and there was none. I’m pretty sure its all gone from these skincare junkie minions 🤗🤗
@@noonecares4129 I just got the last CeraVe cleanser on the shelf and I was so relieved that it was actually there
nomulonely chimchim luckyy😭 good for you though honestly I can’t find any anywhere. I really need clear skin before school starts.

Oily skin - check
Humid environment - check
Athlete - check
WHY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Same...I’m a swimmer so I don’t think chlorine is helping either..
im in daily 40 degrees celsius environment and i have super oily skin, whyyyy 😭
Same bro, Same...
@Ashley61107 I'm a swammer as well, and the chlorine dried my skin TF out, he best thing for me has been to apply a thin layer of unrefined coconut oil immediately after I came out of the shower.. but again that's what worked for me
I suggest just applying anything moisturizing that works for your own skin immediately after the shower to prevent your skin from overproducing sebum
marinating in chlorine for 2-4hrs a day ain't easy on the skin, i get the struggle.
Sammeeee but not athlete
Imagine Hyram’s child, they would have the best skin ever
They would look so young at 20+ 😱
they r gonna be HELLA lucky and educated
Nahh hyram inherited his flawless skin the child is still going to have acne
We are his children lol
Everyone would be jealous of them at school
Even I get tiny bumps on my skin especially forehead. This is how I reduced them:
Started using paper towels to wipe my face after facewash, kept my nails shorter, stopped touching my face frequently, applying oil free moisturizer, drink enough water.

My doctor keeps prescribing me benzoyl peroxide and it's just so irritating and doesn't fix my problems so I got rid of it
Sameeeeee , she just gave me a 150$ cleanser that didn’t do anything
Here is something you should never do if someone has acne:
DO NOT point it out
DO NOT say “wash your face”
DO NOT just look at it and be grossed out!
It is so rude to do. It has broke my confidence multi times, and I do not want any others to hear it and break their confidence. Thank you good bye.
i’m sorry that has happened to you. i hope you’re doing better now! ❤️
Why do you think im hear
A boy in my class just told me this today
"You know you have red bumps on you face if you wash it they will disapear"
Sereously you think i havent tryed that
My face was breaking out and I ending up trying to ‘pop’ some of them and my face had small somewhat like scabs on it since I messed with them... and I went with my bf to his moms house, (the first time she met me I was wearing makeup and possibly a mask) (she does nails) but we went over and one of the first things she says is “oh my gosh what happened to your face?” - “You need to wash your face” - “you need face wash?” - “I’ll take you to buy some face wash”... and i was nice considering it was one of the first times meeting her, I didn’t want to be a bitch. :(
OMG THANK YOU I feel really embarrassed when people point it out and get grossed out
Ikr and some people look straight at my acne ( on my forehead and cheeks) without looking at me in the eyes...it sucks...

Use an anti dandruff shampoo on your back as a body wash, let sit for 30 secs to a minute, then rinse. Best advice my dermatologist ever gave me!
Get a body wash with salicylic acid.
Definitely use an anti dandruff shampoo, head and shoulders works or even nizoral. But what also helped me was to EXFOLIATE, get an exfoliating washcloth or globe from target and use it every day!! This really saved me and it also helped my strawberry skin on my thighs

Fr I wanted to check my things and it doesn’t work 😭😂
I struggled with forehead acne for a long time.
When these bumps go away and my sebaceous filaments go away I’ll have clear skin for the first time in about 4 years

Thank you so much for this video!

I have been sooo stressed out and insecure cos of the tiny bumps on my forehead. I am sooo glad I came across this. Been using a hydrating toner, snail mucin essence and galactomyces essence, and I discovered it made it worse, but i thought it was cos i made a switch. Thank you so much
"pleaaaase go to your dermatologist"
me: am I supposed to have one of those?
Bro same
from everything I’ve personally witnessed it takes months to get in to even see one
i have one but she didnt even say anything about this :(
Who can afford that thooooo? 😩😭
Bruh I barely go to my annual checkups because the insane fees. General medical doctor* not some fancy specialist 😂
I was literally just googling how to get rid of the small bumps earlier...
Me to
Same
Same
Same
Same!!
the last time i went to a dermatologist, they literally did nothing and didn’t figure out what the little bumps were on my forehead. after watching this video, my mind was blown. thank you so much for helping me with this. you’re truly an inspiration and a great role model love youu🥺
It depends what dermatologist you go to, some are awfullll and don’t help, some are pretty good. I went through 3 🙄😬😬
@sofia may Please keep in mind that Hyram is not a replacement for a dermatologist! He is a skincare specialist, he just works behind the skincare counter at a store. He is very knowledgeable, but he's not a dermatologist.
Koala we know this. He literally states it in his video🤦♀️(yes I used the yellow version so nobody says I’m bing racist) we all know he isn’t a dermatologist, but he’s better than some of them that’s for sure. And like he says, not everyone one is rich and can afford one, so we have hyram
Koala hahaha lol nice i know this i’ve been watching hyram for a long time now😂
Him: fungal acne is typically worse if you live in a very humid environment, or if you’re an athlete.
Me: I live in fucking Houston Texas, and I play field hockey in the sun. I sweat all the freaking time
Me who lives in fricken FLORIDA in the humidity and horse back rides 6 days a week and sweats a ton...😢
Nice profile btw! (Jimin from bts!) 💜

Me whether/climate or work doesn't matter they(acne) just pop up.. Even in my 30s
@tora dora is England pretty?
Finally someone who acknowledges that not everyone has access to a dermatologist. My skin is thanking you ever since I started watching your videos 💜
I couldn't even get into a dermatologist when with a doctor referral for a recurring rash. It took him literally yelling at them to get me in.
um he's not a dermatologist
@@lolamurder1882 that's awful my mom had a similar experience . why even be a dermatologist if your going to act that way😕
@@bethanyh3767 I know 😅 but his advise has saved my skin
