Same here, but I’m a woman. My mother scarred my skin by squeezing and picking at my baby acne. 90% of the scars I have (ice-pick scars) have been with me my entire life. I recommend going to a reputable dermatologist that is honest about results and knows what they're doing.
@@serenity1015 yeah I’ve been looking and I’ve heard TCA is good it breaks down collagen and re growth as we have damaged skin there. Don't apologize for bringing up sunscreen again. Never stop recommending it no matter how repetitive it feels. It took me years of being stubborn because I "didn't like the way sunscreen feels" before I finally started using it regularly. I was 25 when I started using it and 26 when I started using it regularly. If you and others hadn't have been so insistent, I may never have started.
@Helen _ Patrick this is the type of bullshit that is making our society regress each day. There is no such thing as herbal medication. Ultimately it always comes down to chemical compounds and how they reach within the body. If there was some chemical compound in nature that could do this, it would have been used to make actual medicines. Stop spreading misinformation and some pseudo-science bullshit to profit off of others.

Wish I was like you :,( very few Ppl in mu school have scars/acne and they don’t gaf but for me I’m ALWAYS covering my face however possible (side bangs save me when i eat my lunch). I just wish I had the confidence too. I just can’t bear to have ppl look at me with a billion bumps and red marks everywhere.
same. i stopped wearing concealer to cover them up a few months ago. not only is my skin glowing more, it also makes me feel better. i stopped wearing it cause i was scared it looked too cakey or it would wipe off at school cause of the masks and people could see. much more confident and i can now walk into stores without my mask. my best friend does sometimes knock down my confidence from saying things like “imagine having acne” sucks for her cause i already see some pimples coming up on her skin. but nonetheless im not going to make fun of her like she did to me 🙄
I’ve struggled with excoriation since I was a teen and while a skincare routine alone won’t solve that for me, not having a steady one was definitely making it worse. Your videos have seriously helped me begin to build a routine that I can not only stick to, but that I actually enjoy doing ❤️

it would be amazing if you started a "skin care routine for x" series. basically you create a skin care routine for a given skin type, problem, and/or time of the day. you recommend so many great products, it is just hard to know how to combine them effectively and use them in a routine. for example "skin care routine for normal skin" or "skin care routine for sensitive skin". this is literally not my commend i copied and pasted it because HYRAM I WILL DIE IF YOU DO THIS PLEASE DO IT
I really love that idea!! He could zoom collab with ppl that fit his topic and they can share information and knowledge eg skindcare for very light/dark skin etc or they could create skincare routines based on desire (anti puffiness, anti wrinkles, ...) in different price ranges
Bro your videos aren’t just informative they are actually motivational for adding these routines into my daily life. Over the past two weeks I have noticed SIGNIFICANT changes to my skin and my look. I even went to the dentist and had a few treatments to look better, I feel better and am actually motivated and feel better in my life.
My dad had really bad acne until his 30, and sadly never knew how to treat it, making many mistakes and being insecure in that way. I use the tips from your videos to help him on his journey 🥰💛
@@Mrs-utche hi! I have the same problem, a lot of products Hyram recomments I can't find in the Netherlands. So I have been doing a bit of research on my own. The last few weeks I've been using Biodermal sunscreen for the face; sensitive skin/gevoelige huid. It doesn't leave a white cast and doesn't feel very greasy, but it does leave a bit of a sheen on my face (I don't mind but others may do). Unfortunately it does have some ingredients that are damaging to the environment and coral reefs, so my search goes on. I am planning on trying the Naïf sunscreen or the Supergoop sunscreen (via Cultbeauty), which products should be fine as well according to my research.
i’m so pale it makes me orange. my mom said i look like i got sun on my face but it’s just the sunscreen. i wish it wasn’t tinted. i still use it though lol
Treating acne scars may take awhile but once you've found the best products for u.. it'll cause u to have better skin for years to the point that even your acne is treated, not just the scars. My husband is dermastamping for years now. He was dermastamping with the Banisher 2.0 weekly before but as soon as his scars faded he just uses it once a month for maintenance. We always thought the process is way too long.. but now that his skin looks way better than mine? I must say it's worth the effort. Trust the process. Good thing the Banisher 2.0 treated him really well ♥️
OMG same! Just hoping my scars can heal enough to where I can at least cover it with concealer whenever things reopen and I start meeting people in person again 🥲
Side note, you are absolutely amazing. You single handedly convinced my boyfriend to start wearing sunscreen when he’s the type to use 3 in 1 body wash and that’s it. He said he overheard a video by you that I was watching and said he started spf (for the first time ever) because you said “the only spf that matters is the spf you’ll use” End. Quote. And he didn’t even say anything, just started using it and told me in a random conversation. Amazing.
@@Sunny-qo2lt (this comment was 11 months ago)I’d like to say that’s changed since then, but nope! He doesn’t even use 3 in 1, he just uses regular body wash on his face and hair ugh, he has however kept up the spf habit 🤣👌🏻
My acne scars are my biggest insecurity. I had clear skin until about 20 and I am 26 and still can’t get rid of acne and acne scars. I have tried 3 different dermatologists, salicylic acid, birth control, benzoyl peroxide, retinol, cutting out dairy, fried food, gluten, alcohol, taking probiotics, EVERYTHING. I always see these videos and it gives me hope whenever I see a product I haven’t tried because at this point I genuinely don’t want to leave my house without makeup and sometimes think there’s something wrong with me that at 26 my face looks like like I’m going through puberty. It’s really crushing to your self esteem.
This is exactly the same as me, never had bad skin growing up it all started when I was about 22. I don’t know if you’ve considered it but Isotretinoin has completely changed my skin after only 6 weeks on it. The side effects can be bad but it’s so good to find something that actually works. Hope you find something that works for you soon!
I feel you. I was on Yaz BC till I was 28. Yaz is FDA approved to use for acne treatment, but I didn’t know that until I switched BC methods and started to losing my hair and getting severe acne. After trying everything for the past 2 years, I finally found what works for me, 1% tretinoin with skinfix moisturizer at night. Cleanse (cleanser for dry skin, I use korres or laneige) them moisture right away wait like an hour then tretinoin, then moisture is again right before bed. I use dr jart tiger grass cream with sun bum sunscreen. You have give products time to actually work, sometimes 6-8 weeks to see results. Keep trying you got this!
@@TheAbbischule is that the same as regular tretinoin? I have been on a prescription of clindamycin, aselaic acid, and tretinoin that I used for months and didn’t see much of a difference :(
To everyone struggling with pigment scarring: Please check whether you have PIH or PIE first!! Hyram only talks about PIH here, which is great for all you darker skinned beauties - but especially if you are lighter skinned, PLEASE learn more about post inflammatory erythema (PIE). For the longest time I thought I had PIH, because no one every really told me the difference (Hyram unfortunately does not seem to differentiate either here), but once I found out about it and learned more, I managed to actually get rid of the pink/ red dots that are typical for PIE (dark spots are typical for PIH). Because the treatments for PIH and PIE actually CAN be different (depending on your skin/ severity of the marks)! Here‘s a few videos for your consideration (that helped me personally): About the difference of PIH & PIE: ruclips.net/video/uv2KOp-7JcY/видео.html How to treat PIE: ruclips.net/video/g87i7K6-G40/видео.html Go get the skin y‘all deserve♥️

Ive been struggling with chronic inflammatory acne since I was 16. I’m now 18 and unfortunately I’m still dealing with it … HOWEVER ! I’ve had access to an antibiotic treatment which worked for me, even tho it came back every time lol … But when it comes to post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, I just want to say that I listened to your tips. In my case, I used the ordinary serum, and even tho it took a while it did help a lot and helped me get rid of it completely overtime. But when it comes to those little crevices, I was never able to get rid of it. My dermatologist told me that I would probably need a peeling treatment which I unfortunately can’t afford … Even tho my acne keeps coming back, I’m glad your tips worked, and considering that I’m about to start an accutane treatment, I’m very positive about the future. I’m really grateful for your tips, because it helped me better my skin and feel more confident when I hated myself.
Hi, something that really helped me was to put my hair up when showering (using a cap or a hair tie). Think about it, your hair products lay on your back while you shower and those products sink in. I hope it helps you too
this is something that has helped me SO MUCH. when you put on conditioner and let it sit in your hair, don’t let your hair touch your back, like move it to the front or hold it whatever works best. conditioner clogs your pores really bad and can cause bacne. i’ve seen such a difference by doing this.

Hello! Same problem here, currently using Alga maris spf30 but probably not the best. Was wandering, maybe sunscreens from brands like Paula's choice and Inkey would be Hyram approved, check them out!
pretty informative thank you 😍 but a very important distinction is this: those reddish or pink stains especially on lighter skin tones are not PIH, they are called as post inflammatory erythema aka PIE, its important to distinguish because AHA acids are not so good for red stains as they get more red.On the other hand AHA is great for PIH as they fade darker spot. so the color of the scars plays a big role in treating.
The thing I hate about skin care products is some of them are over priced for what you get. Also a lot of them only come in small packages instead of being in bulk.
On one hand I agree with the pricing but the packages are small for a reason: if you have a lot of product standing on your shelf for a long time, some of the ingredients won't be as effective anymore, so you end up putting something on your face that doesnt even work anymore🤷🏼♀️ watch his drugstore skin care video, there's some great recommendations in there!
Before you treat scars you should find out on how you can stop acne from popping up. What you eat plays important role on formation or not formation of acne

Coming from someone who has had deep physical acne scars for years, I honestly need to say that Hyram is wrong about the physical scarring. If you have physical scars the products he is suggesting will not help get rid of them over time this is giving people false hope. While I understand professional treatments are not affordable for everyone, these products he is telling you that will help will only make a LITTLE bit of a difference.
This. My dermatologist said the only way to permanently remove them is through lasering, which costs thousands of $ and can only get done by a doctor (dermatologist). Any other products (creams, oils, etc) and services offered by medspas (microneedling, PRP, facials, etc) will likely not work and are just marketing scams 😔
I know he mentioned a few products for PIH, but I just want to mention a product that has helped me because ✨why not lol✨it’s from CeraVe and it’s called Resurfacing Retinol Serum! It truly has helped with my PIH and it was gone in a matter of days!! I highly recommend it along with the other products that Hyram mentioned in the vid 😊

@@mercymabiza9397 i have oily skin and niacinamide has helped alot with that. It really helps in controlling sebum production. Alpha arbutin helped me with post acne marks when combined with vitamin c. Scars are still there though.
Thank you for clarifying the fact that PIH is NOT considered scaring!!!!... As someone who suffers with actual scars leftover by acne, it’s really frustrating to see titles that mention getting rid of your acne scars, only to realize you’re watching someone talk about their hyperpigmentation. Because there’s a massive difference between the two. For starters, PIH eventually goes away and if it’s taking longer than you’d like, there’s a very simple solution to getting rid of it. Acne scaring (Boxcar, Icepick, Rolling, Atrophic, Hypertrophic) on the other hand affects the physical structure of your face and as any Dr. will tell you, acne scaring is one of; if not THE most difficult things to treat because it’s impossible to completely get rid of. (Unless you opt for punch excision. But that’s not a realistic approach for most).

@@DaniHMcV Same! I had cystic acne in middle school and my mom was obsessed with popping them. And now I have icepick and boxcar scars on my cheeks... I've tried microneedling a good 6 times with some sublative and it hasn't really worked for me. Now I have PDO threads in my face. My skin looks vibrant and thick but idk what to do about my scars. I guess I'll just use retinol religiously. I feel pretty even with my scars but sometimes I wonder about what I'd actually look loke without them.

@@mdot9551 my scars look smoother because of retinol and using aha/bha combination toners but they're still there :/ I think for scars like ours, we need subcision to break up the tethered collagen fibers in the pitted scars. Microneedling has never worked for me (made my skin more bouncy though lol) and I wish that these estheticions told me that before they took my money. I recommend going to a reputable dermatologist that is honest about results and knows what they're doing.
@@serenity1015 yeah I’ve been looking and I’ve heard TCA is good it breaks down collagen and re growth as we have damaged skin there.
Micro needling does not work from researching
I have an ordinary acidic solution containing AHA and BCA I may give that a go that may work if not I’ll have to go and get a dermatologist to do TCA

I never knew which type of physical acne scars I have...this video was so enlightening and I’ve been big into skincare for YEARS ❤️ Loveee
@Helen _ Patrick this is the type of bullshit that is making our society regress each day. There is no such thing as herbal medication. Ultimately it always comes down to chemical compounds and how they reach within the body. If there was some chemical compound in nature that could do this, it would have been used to make actual medicines. Stop spreading misinformation and some pseudo-science bullshit to profit off of others.

it would be amazing if you started a "skin care routine for x" series. basically you create a skin care routine for a given skin type, problem, and/or time of the day. you recommend so many great products, it is just hard to know how to combine them effectively and use them in a routine. for example "skin care routine for normal skin" or "skin care routine for sensitive skin".
this is literally not my commend i copied and pasted it because HYRAM I WILL DIE IF YOU DO THIS PLEASE DO IT

Side note, you are absolutely amazing. You single handedly convinced my boyfriend to start wearing sunscreen when he’s the type to use 3 in 1 body wash and that’s it.
If nothing works, try using accutane! I am using it for 6 months now and it is making my skin perfect!
I'm the same. I never had acne growing up and then I became an adult and bam out of nowhere

Appreciating Hyram for giving us the on-point advice on how to heal our acne scars. 😭😭
Here‘s a few videos for your consideration (that helped me personally):

I have PIE too and was waiting for Hyram to adress is in this video. May I ask what products helped you? I'm using azelaic as a topical treatment and retinol, bha, and niacinamide all over. It's changing but soooo slowly, I feel like it's going to take years...

Ive been struggling with chronic inflammatory acne since I was 16. I’m now 18 and unfortunately I’m still dealing with it … HOWEVER ! I’ve had access to an antibiotic treatment which worked for me, even tho it came back every time lol …
But when it comes to post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, I just want to say that I listened to your tips. In my case, I used the ordinary serum, and even tho it took a while it did help a lot and helped me get rid of it completely overtime. But when it comes to those little crevices, I was never able to get rid of it. My dermatologist told me that I would probably need a peeling treatment which I unfortunately can’t afford …
Even tho my acne keeps coming back, I’m glad your tips worked, and considering that I’m about to start an accutane treatment, I’m very positive about the future.
I’m really grateful for your tips, because it helped me better my skin and feel more confident when I hated myself.

I got a stiff long handled brush that I use on my back now in the shower. I think it's helped a lottttt. Just my 2 cents
Hi, something that really helped me was to put my hair up when showering (using a cap or a hair tie). Think about it, your hair products lay on your back while you shower and those products sink in. I hope it helps you too
this is something that has helped me SO MUCH. when you put on conditioner and let it sit in your hair, don’t let your hair touch your back, like move it to the front or hold it whatever works best. conditioner clogs your pores really bad and can cause bacne. i’ve seen such a difference by doing this.

pretty informative thank you 😍 but a very important distinction is this: those reddish or pink stains especially on lighter skin tones are not PIH, they are called as post inflammatory erythema aka PIE, its important to distinguish because AHA acids are not so good for red stains as they get more red.On the other hand AHA is great for PIH as they fade darker spot. so the color of the scars plays a big role in treating.

As a meditarranean I only thought it was necessary during summertime, but after watching you I use it everyday now
when you want to get rid of your pimples but even the cheap stuff he recommends is too expensive 😃
BYE THIS IS ME
HAHA 😂🤣😹😂
THAT'S ME 🙂
Ughhh fr the whole of youtube is a daily reminder that im a broke bitch and people are richer than me 😂
Or not available in ur country 😭
he has more videos on acne they’re just old but there’s more affordable items in those videos
thank you so much hyram. i have dermatillamania & have picked my skin leaving deep physical scarring, i thought a chemical peel in the future was my only hope. thank you for giving me some hope that my face will look more normal one day
My skin has been so much better since I learned all about skincare from you. Thank you, Hyram!!
What products do you use?
@@divyabksunar1986 I use CeraVe SA Smoothing Cleanser, CeraVe Foaming Cleanser, CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion with SPF and without + The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%. I have combination skin and they have really worked for me!
Hyram : What type of acne scars do you have?
Me : Every possible type there is😫😫😫
hahahah same
Mood
samee😭
😭😂
I just started using ADAPALINE and girl let me tell you I had heaps of little acne bumps under my skin and within a week they all came to the surface then went away. Those little bumps had been there for like a month already it really helped.
Hyram: "You HAVE to stay to the end for a product you CAN'T miss"
Me: sunscreen
do you only need to use the sunscreen if you go out?
and how would you apply both product
@@coupdegrace8959 most of the youtubers i watched suggest that you should still put on sunscreen even if you don't go outside.
That moment when Hyram suggests things you’re already doing and products you’re already using 🤩🤩
When you're part of that small group who has a bad reaction to niacinamide. ☹
It’s always recommended for helping oily skin but it makes me more oily🤡
Same:((
It causes more breakout for me 😟
:( right
Same 🥺
Hyram!! I need a video on “blind” under the skin pimples. I have some that never go away, they get better and worse but never heal and disappear!!! And then leave a reddish scar like bump!! Ahhh helppp
Try drinking ginger or turmeric with milk. Cleansing my body from the inside had helped with under the skin acne 😊
Yes please
For anyone considering Differin, I definitely recommend Dr Dray's videos on how to use it in a routine and her information about it! it's really useful
How about tretinoin?
Love you hyram! Thanks so much for making this ♡ just a note, maybe including pictures of these conditions on darker skin tones as well as lighter may be good to help people better identify what type they may be struggling with. ♡
Saw a natural video to get rid of acne in a week by doing this secret trick. It did work for me, Check if it helps and thank me later.

Coming from someone who has had deep physical acne scars for years, I honestly need to say that Hyram is wrong about the physical scarring. If you have physical scars the products he is suggesting will not help get rid of them over time this is giving people false hope.
While I understand professional treatments are not affordable for everyone, these products he is telling you that will help will only make a LITTLE bit of a difference.
thanks for the honesty
if u don’t mind asking, what type of scarring did you deal with and how did u treat it
hi how did u treat ur acne scars?
😢
The timing for this video couldn’t have been more perfect!!! I went for a model audition but was told that I had too much blemishes on my face and I had to get them reduced before they would think about signing me 😢 So GOD BLESS FOR THIS VIDEO!!!
Literally bought one of these products INSTANTLY. True story.
idk what i would do without you💀
THIS VIDEO GIVES ME HOPE
I’m so grateful for you Hyram. I wouldn’t have a proper skincare routine without these videos! God bless you
My pay check belongs to skincare products at this point 🤣😩
YALL BE CAREFUL OUT THERE I NEVER NEEDED THESE TYPES OF VIDS BUT NOW THAT I DO, I WISH THERE WAS A WAY TO PREVENT THEMMM
realizing you currently own a product that's Hyram Approved™ really just hits different
I’ve never clicked on a video so fast in my life Hyram please help me

Can we take a minute to just appreciate Hyrams ear piercing!! Amazing.
I’m so excited for this!!! I clicked faster than Hyram could say “get that stuff treated” 😂
I have cystic acne and my skin has always healed so well!! But now I'm on chemo and my skin just can't cope 🥺 In two months my skin now looks like I have had acne for years.. So I needed this video 🙌
Wishing you the best with Chemo as well🙏❤
@@sarfycrave4760 Thank you so much! ❤️🌸
Remembering back to the time I used a glycolic acid face wash and a salicylic acid witch hazel toner every night on a beach holiday... I also didn’t wear sunscreen everyday. UGH THE DAMAGE!
drinking coffee while anxious. "I am awake but at what cost?"
^^^THIS..like for 20 years..this!! ^^😬
Me: Drinking coffee with depression
Well done for not stopping for breath and blowing our minds! Yes: scarring can take years to treat and heal. You're very encouraging!
10:09 This is my first time seeing your channel one thing I really appreciate is how you only talk about what you are knowledgeable in, I feel like alot of people on the internet try to give advice for things they aren't even qualified to give advice for. I appreciate the honestly and the quality of the video. New Sub.
ACNE/ACNE SCAR products that worked for me. Just wanted to share what worked for me after years of scaring and teen/adult acne! Hopefully it’ll help someone :)
CeraVe sa cleanser
Versed weekend glow solution
The ordinary niacinamide
The ordinary alpha arbutin
CeraVe moisturizer spf 30
The ordinary retinols (start from weakest to strongest)
OMG HYRAM I've never clicked so FAST!!! This is exactly my problem
I appreciate this video because my dermatologist basically makes me feel like I’m crazy every time I say I have acne scars, they’re not anywhere near extreme but I have some that are pigmentation scars and craters from when I was in middle school because I knew nothing about skincare and listened to all the wrong things.
How did u deal with it?
Please do a product layering video and things to avoid mixing 🙏🏻 p.s you have absolutely changed my skin care game.. thank you! 🖤
I am currently struggling with PIH and physical scar as well. Just ordered Niacinamide and Alpha arbutin after watching this video. I hope it helps. ✌️
Tysm for the information hyram❤️
How did it go? Its been a year now?
What a perfect timing i'm having hormonal acne after a while (there's gonna be some painful front & back cramps for this month god send help)
