Hey guys! I'm going to be streaming some Empire at War (the new Thrawn's Revenge release) VERY SOON (like 20 minutes or less) at www.twitch.tv/eckhartsladder
EckhartsLadder the suggestion of the Dalek empire invading the Star Wars galaxy has been in my mind for ages if you could make that into a video that would be great
@@jacobberg373 He would surely shape the exisyance in his own vision and In. my opinion, after some time he would anahialite himself fealing only emptiness, no goals... He wouldn't like to live forever any more.
The Empire at War mod “Age of Legends” has a what if Galactic Conquest scenario where the Dark Empire wins and fights against the Vong Invaders. The scenario is called Dark Vector, a combination of Dark Empire and Vector Prime, the first book of the Vong war
That would be interesting. A story where Palpatine as the protagonist basically goes on to try to take over other fictional universes. The galactic empire versus the Imperium of man. Sith versus power rangers, star destroyers versus gundams.
The Imperium would is a thousand times stronger than the Empire on the ground. The Empire hyperdrives and Eclipse-class Dreadnaughts would be the only way they could stop the Imperium and anyone else in the 40K universe. I say Sith beat Power Rangers because they have the Force. Gundams beat Star Destroyers, the normal ones anyway.
Palpatine would probably be upset if there wasn't anything left to conquer. He clearly started getting bored when he took over the galaxy and defeated the Jedi.
The amount of resources to pull off intergalactic travel in the Star Wars, as well as the drive to do so, could be pulled off if the entire galaxy was unified. That would mean a more successful version of either the Galactic Republic or Galactic Empire.
The Yuuzhan Vong entered the Galaxy through a gap in the anomaly, plus there are two satellite galaxies, the Rishi Maze and Firefist, that are apparently inside the anomaly with the main galaxy.
My only real qualm with the DE is that it doesn't quite make sense with prophecy of Anakin destroying the Sith (and Jedi) and bringing balance to the force. I also feel that it takes away from Vaders sacrifice and redemption. Other than that, it's a great storyline which gave us some badass super weapons and ships.

The Flood win hands down. Orks are too stupid to use any tactics that beat the Flood in the halo universe, and throwing warm bodies at the Flood will only worsen the problem.
You forget that the Flood would most likely assimilate the Orks in a manner that allows them to use their tech. The Orks reproduce at a rate that puts cockroaches to shame, but the Flood can create infection forms at least as fast as the Orks spawn more of their own. I doubt the Orks faith based powers could stop the infection, especially since they probably would never think to try that in the first place. Finally, Orks prefer swarming their enemies for close-range fights, which gives the Flood the advantage as infection forms can find hosts and combat forms get to use their mutated limbs. The Flood are so infectious that the Orks would eventually get overwhelmed by the number of infected, plus the Gravemind would eventually figure out how to use strategies, even if it only had access to Ork memory.
Internet Zen Master, you make good points, but there are some flaws. First, the Dark Eldar infected the Orks with a virus, so why can't the Flood infect them? We don't know how the WAAAGH! will work with the Flood because Halo does not have Psychic beings, the Flood may be unable to use it, in which case they will just find a workaround like building normal vehicles and weapons, or simply rely on organic weapons like the Tyranids. The Orks are only a threat to other races because of their numbers and reproductive rate, their tech may do damage but their strength is in sheer numbers, endurance, and stubbornness. These traits won't help when their Ork Boyz become combat forms by the dozens. Also, Burna Boyz are not very common in the Orks ranks, and they lack the intelligence to figure out that flame throwers will work better than their Shootas and Choppas. You have to remember that Orks are very stupid, once a gravemind forms (and with the Orks strategy one will forms pretty quick) they can easily build functional ships to leave a planet, but only after drawing in as many Orks as possible to build an unstoppable wave of reanimated Greenskins.
I forgot to mention, with the Orks reproductive rate, the Flood could very easily use them as a constant supply of biomass, as well creating multiple Graveminds and Keyminds to increase Flood coordination and lethality.
I 100% agree. Even if his initial goal was to conquer and rule the galaxy, he would grow bored and eager for further conquest. Someone as ambitious as Palpatine with such a massive military force would quickly grow bored of ruling over a single galaxy and would no doubt seek to conquer new galaxies. I doubt he would stop until every thing in existence was under his control.
(Imitating 7th Doctor mocking Davros) “Crush the lesser races. Conquer the galaxy. Unimaginable power. Unlimited Rice pudding!” JMM says, “Yowza. Palpatine/Sidious was very ambitious and I am glad he was destroyed in the end by the servants of the light side of the force. The Yuzahng Vong were abominations, yes. But the Dark Empire, I think was waaaay worse than anything. I do intend to read Dark Empire, but I will say this though since I have done research; I do not want some aspect of it being canonized in the new Expanded Universe. Palpatine coming back to life would be a total nightmare. Then again it could make a fun storyline.”
This might play into why Palpatine was seeking divinity through the Force. He probably knew that even if he became immortal, the universe is simply too big for him to take over in a conventional manner. So he targets the Force that forms the basis of the universe. No matter how hard the game is, if you can hack the rules in your favor you can assure a win
Excellent summary, only thing I would add is per the Dark Empire sourcebook he was planning on turning the entire population of the SW galaxy into glorified batteries for himself and his lieutenants, ensuring he would have maximum Force strength as well as technological superiority. Combined with his ability to jump bodies he definitely would fit the small g definitions of godhood.
The emperor has forgotten one very wise saying. “There’s always a bigger fish”. The more strangers you choose to fight, the greater chance you’ll find someone you simply can’t beat. Eg. “I AM EMPEROR PALPATINE! RULER OF THE UNIVERSE”! “Hello, my name is..... Q”. Or “We are the Borg. Lower your shields and surrender your ships. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own.” Or “You are intruding on the Imperium of Man, xeno filth” Or “I’m the Doctor” Etc etc....
I have a multi-part answer to that question. .1 as it pertains to one of your previous dark Empire videos, I believe that Palpatine would have used his Sovereign class ships along with other similar vessels as conduits of the force that he would have arranged throughout the Galaxy in order to consume every living thing in the galaxy much like Viciate did to every living thing on the planet. He would only spare what is absolutely necessary to maintain an active military and with his increased power would move on to the reishi maze after conquering that he would head on over to fire fist and he would keep consuming every living thing in every Galaxy he conquered sparing only what was absolutely necessary to maintain a military might. .2 At its full power, the dark Empire we have swatted the Yuzhan Vong aside like so many insects. It would not be surprising if Palpatine absorbed their forces into his own by corrupting them through the use of Highly Advanced Sith Alchemy. .3 the only thing that would stop Palpatine if he had achieved his goals would be total Universal entropy.
Hey Eck, my main proposition for a future video is more of an idea for a new series; but before we talk about that i wanted to ask you a lore/science based question. I know there are ion cannons in the star wars universe but my limited knowledge an I have never heard of or know if its even possible to ionize a turbo laser shot. I on occasion like to design capital ships and some of my designs have a axial super heavy turbo laser. I was wondering if its grounded in the star wars universe to ionize the axial turbo laser shot either before or after it leaves the barrel. I'm having a lot of fun making these ship and your videos help me find weaknesses and balance in my ships. I really don't want to design anymore around a axial ionized turbo laser if it isn't even possible. Please let me know in the comments if you have heard of anything like that or if you believe it would be possible in the star wars universe. My idea for a new video would revolve around large battles conveyed beautifully with your majestic voice and amazing story telling abilities. The series would consist of an iconic "supercapital" ship like the eclipse or the executor with a small escort fleet battling it out to the death with a second fleet with a make up strong enough to give it a run for its money. The fleet make up and size would be completely up to you; whatever you feel stands a chance against the super's. I think this could work with your current series, star ship verses, or as somewhat of a stand alone. Super Capital ships are one of my favorite aspects of the star wars universe and a combination of your knowledge, enthusiasm, voice, and story telling capabilities would make for an amazing few videos. That said, everything I've watched that you've made so far I've loved; keep up the amazing work! P.S. I loved both episodes of the "after Endor" series and would love to see them return. You are an amazing story teller!
Palpy: yes! I have finally conquered the universe! Random politician: now we have to deal with all the paper work Palpy: nooooooooo!!!! Oh fine pass me a stamp
"A Long Time Ago In A Galaxy Far Far Away." How long ago was all this anyway? Can you imagine if Palpatine made it to the Milky Way Galaxy? What state would he find Earth in? Would it be primordial, inhabited with dinosaurs, or primitive humans??
Hey, so I have a question. For Empire at War what would you consider the best mod that still sticks closely to the base game but adds some new content? I've been wanting to find something like that for a while but I couldn't find anything.
VF-1 Valkyrie Variable Fighter from SDF Macross (not Robotech) vs the Union Flag from Gundam 00 vs the Viking from StarCraft vs the Mecha Tengu from Command and Conquer. Best transforming Fighter factions compared please.
The only way I see Palpatine conquering the entire universe would be to use the Stargate system if it was available to put a super gate in every Galaxy going to have to send out a lot of seed ships
I think the Star Wars galaxy would have been a much better place had Palpatine succeeded. The world devastators would have been a perfect weapon to use against the Yuuzhan Vong, not to mention the Galaxy Gun. The galaxy not only would have been spared the destruction of the Yuuzhan Vong war, but the decades of fighting against the imperial remnant and later the new Sith empire. With a united, peaceful, prosperous galaxy, it only seems natural that Palpatine would then extend his reach.
Hey EchartsLadder, i want you to compare the Lost Planet series weapons, energy sources and science to the Halo series, Star Wars series, Star Trek series, Mass Effect series, the Crysis series and the Vanquish video game. I strongly recommend you do that. P.S. if your searching for the hanger space on the nebulon b frigate and the unidentified smaller ships in star wars the return of the Jedi, you can find it on star wars force unleashed 2
One day you should consider multiversal comparison for best capital ship direct energy weapon. Everything like turbolasers, phasers, positron shock cannons (space battleship yamato), tahyon lances etc.
This is my thought process. So Matt Smith’s interview teases his role in Episode 9 would be a huge shift in the world of the Star Wars. Everyone who reacted thinks he is alluding to the same thing. That Palpatine in the main 6 movies was Plagueis all along. Now in current canon, Time Travel is a thing in Star Wars, as is at least one Parallel Universe or reality. Time travel by the WBW in Star Wars Rebels, and Parallel universe by the room of mirrors and dark Rey scene. What I think is the reason Palpatine is so powerful is because he is more than one Sith at once. So what I think is Palpatine’s death on the DS2, did two things. Palpatine had entered one of these mirrors, creating a new universe where he can continue to pull the strings, the Disney trilogy, while Plagueis took over the body of the Palpatine’s clones and lives in Legends as the one to turn Luke to the dark side. This would essentially do what Marvel has done and tie together the new MCU and other marvel movies outside of it. Disney would make so much money if they could relaunch legends content and bring both old and new fandom together.
Unlimited power is what palpatine sought. Ultimate power would be a bonus, but when he was murdering Samuel l Jackson's character having a brain fart right now, he was yelling unlimited power!
I do believe he would have go out of the galaxy to conquer again with no true stop line, he makes me thinks like emperor valkorian before his first "death" as the emperor of the sith on the scale of his darkness ambition (im talking about the conversation you have with him in the old republic game) Suggestion for an other video, as u started to introduce SC2 content even with the little lore it gives, ill say a Zerg vs Tyranids or flood confrontation =D hope u will see this and as always, enjoying ur videos ^^
Autumn class heavy cruiser(halo) vs ISD 2(Star Wars) I think the matchup would be closer than normal halo v Star Wars matchups because the autumn is upgraded with forerunner tech
@EckhartsLadder At first I thought this totally makes sense. For the Emperor’s mindset it still does. However, I’m not sure all galaxy are rich with the Force. I’m curious about the Yuzong Vong’s (I know spelled that incorrectly) galaxy. They were immune to the Force, which to me implies either they developed this immunity or there was no Force in the galaxy, therefore they had no way of connecting to it in the first place, having evolved absent its influence. While it most likely was Palpatine’s plan, I don’t know that the Force itself is universal. So given that he is sustained by the Force, first what happens in the vastness of space between galaxies where is no life therefore no Force. Again, what happens to the Emperor if they arrive at a galaxy where the Force doesn’t exist, but extremely well evolved technologically superior civilizations meet them. Even so superior that the Empires most devastating super weapons are irrelevant to the civilization they encounter? They would not have mapped out hyperspace lanes in the knew galaxies, nor do they have FTL. There is a high probability in such a situation, the superior civilization could have been watching the Empires approach and thoroughly prepared for them. They lay massive, undetectable mines, they wouldn’t even have to lift a finger. Of they have something akin to FTL as seen in Battlestar Galactica, they plot the coordinates of the most like Y, even the exact position of the Empire’s arrival. Send some inferior drone shops at them to give the Empire a false sense of security and draw them into a trap. Once the Empire’s fleet arrives at coordinates of the ambush, the superior civilization FTL’s ships surrounding their fleet. Hundreds, maybe thousands of ships, all superior to anything the Empire has ever seen, with swarms of hundreds of thousands of gunships or fighters. That battle ends before anyone, including the Emperor knows what happened. Superior military tactics!
The one thing I never get when it comes to the "take over the world/galaxy/universe" villains is motivation, why do they want infinite power? To do what exactly? Let's say Palpatine did take over the Star Wars universe, then what? Kind of ran out of stuff to do.
As for the Vong Invasion yes the dark empire would have handedly won against the Vong through their sheer military might and weapons of war. Also there’s the possibility palpatine was well aware of the threat and would have been ready to take on the Vong allowing the empire to take down the Vong more effectively since the empire would have been prepared whereas the new republic was caught completely by surprise.
Maybe the empire could if they mass produce the sun cruiser & many super destroyers its possible, even luke wanted a sun cruiser which says something & dark saber fav. Keep the good star wars lore 😊
Well, since the Star Wars universe is our universe, this pretty much means if Palpatine succeeded an Imperial fleet would have appeared over Earth one day, probably the Eclipse itself since Palpatine would be super intrigued by the idea of humans outside of the “main” galaxy and would “visit” us personally. And honestly a full potential Palpatine is not anything Will Smith and an eccentric pilot could ever hope to beat. Though the Eclipse superlaser being used to nuke capital cities ID4 style sounds cool.

I think Palpy was high on Death Sticks when he thought of this plan lol.
Replicators vs a Unified Star Wars universe (186th try now, *_I._** WILL NEEEEVER EEEVER GIVE UP!!!)*
dude you have the best star wars content, i love watching your videos, keep up the amazing work :)
High charity vs yuuzhan vong world 1 brw
Btw
What do you mean by yuuzhan vong world? If you mean a worldship, I would say High Charity.
Or
“We are the Borg. Lower your shields and surrender your ships. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own.”
Or
“You are intruding on the Imperium of Man, xeno filth”
Or
“I’m the Doctor”
Etc etc....
Random politician: now we have to deal with all the paper work
Palpy: nooooooooo!!!!
Imagine if palpatine's vision of the imperium was realised? An Ultra Star Destroyer bigger than the death stars.
Palpatine wanted to rule a Type IV civilization.
Good video
Need some advice, is 'Empire at War' worth buying? Also, is it available on MacBook Air? Thanks.
Hello Eckharts Ladder
The Star Wars universe shall forever be one galaxy
Great video man
A truly ambitious man.
Best transforming Fighter factions compared please.
love your videos! btw I'm going to try again but I'm hoping for a WH40k retribution battleship vs SW executor
The Dark empire vs the Youzang Voug. I say that the conflict would destroy both .
The only way I see Palpatine conquering the entire universe would be to use the Stargate system if it was available to put a super gate in every Galaxy going to have to send out a lot of seed ships
Dark empire vs. The Imperium of Man
"Do it!"
Dark Empire is one of my favorite legends stories. Second only to the yuzaan vong war
We need some movies that are dedicated to legends
He has an awesome fleet.
P.S. if your searching for the hanger space on the nebulon b frigate and the unidentified smaller ships in star wars the return of the Jedi, you can find it on star wars force unleashed 2
yuuzhan vong vs pegasus galaxy (all factions) (stargate)
Post- or Pre-unending?
I got to give that one to the Yuuzhan Vong
I’m talking full Wraith and Asurans and all other factions working together full strength.
Still I would have to give the victory to the Yuuzhan Vong
Stargate as the Pegasus Galaxy is aided by the factions of the milky way galaxy.
this man was made crazy
Eventually Palpatine takes over all of fiction and real life
Imagine palpatine meeting darkseid lol
1:00
That near-invincible super weapon was Darth Vader.
heres one for you: the Entire Dark Empire Vs a unified Halo Galaxy at the time just preceding the Fall Of Reach
Autumn class cruiser vs ISD
Could Godzilla Earth (Planet of the monsters) Attack the First order in Starkiller base please.
Hello Eckharts!
I do believe he would have go out of the galaxy to conquer again with no true stop line, he makes me thinks like emperor valkorian before his first "death" as the emperor of the sith on the scale of his darkness ambition (im talking about the conversation you have with him in the old republic game)
Suggestion for an other video, as u started to introduce SC2 content even with the little lore it gives, ill say a Zerg vs Tyranids or flood confrontation =D hope u will see this and as always, enjoying ur videos ^^
What is the mod for EaW that you were using at the start of the video?
Pls do a video on Celestials(marvel) vs Celestials(star wars)
And then Palpatin survived and was recreating an hidden armé that no one knows about 😁
Autumn class heavy cruiser(halo) vs ISD 2(Star Wars) I think the matchup would be closer than normal halo v Star Wars matchups because the autumn is upgraded with forerunner tech
Great video btw
Can you do a lore video on the GenoHaradan?
Of they have something akin to FTL as seen in Battlestar Galactica, they plot the coordinates of the most like
Y, even the exact position of the Empire’s arrival. Superior military tactics!
another good video how the next one be about the sith empire
Dark ambitious

Could you please make a XJ7 vs T-70 X-wing
Dark Troopers vs Elite Rangers 1st Attempt
You know dark troopers are the droid suits of armor, right? I think the Elites would outsmart them, especially Rangers.
Robert Nelson The dark troopers from the og battle front 2
GreaterHalo06 so phase 0 dark troopers
The flood would obviously win lol
Elite Ultra's?
Phase 0 are good troops, but one-on-one with an Elite Ranger would not end well for them.
Gravity gun was beast.
People will question sidious about this for they have looked and there is no other life moons or worlds outside the border of the galaxy just stars
Can you include the combine from half life in faction vs?
Wolfenstein the new order and the new colossus vs modern military please.
22nd Attempt
Reapers vs. Yuuzhan Vong
A fully operational Empire would have steam rolled the Yuzong Vong
Rule is only the first step. Total power is not political but direct. Palpatine as deciding part of us all.
