Got the same motor three days ago. Paid 2400 for it and it's in surprisingly good nick for a 12 year old car. Does what I need which is ferry the music gear round 🤘
I've had one for over 4 years, and yes the gearbox is the main problem.. you get used to it though, you sort of learn not to 'floor it' and let the car change gear in it's own time lol! Great video - keep up the good work!
I had a 2012 308 automatic. I found the difficulties with the gearbox related mainly to specific instances. EG if you braked before a corner then floored it around the corner it didn't change up quickly enough. But yes you get used to it.
I have the 2013/4 version with usbs front and back, sat nav too. Keep an eye out for suspension as that's expensive and can only be sorted by peugeot dealers, or you can do what I did and rip it out and put normal shocks.
I did 165,000kms on my 2012 308 2.0L diesel. I drive hard and fast and I never had any suspension difficulties. BTW the 2.0L diesel engine is brilliant - far superior to the 1.6 Diesel.
Could you do a video on what all the button things do above the stereo please. I've just brought one of these but has no manual and a little worried to start messing around with things I don't know lol my previous car was a peugeot 308 petrol so it's a big change for me going to a diesel car. And I also get frustrated with pull off because it is a little slow.
That "auto" gearbox is a liability. Apart from the way it drives, warranty companies treat it as a manual meaning that any problems with the internal clutch won't be covered
Lovely video, thank you for making it. I have read about dpf and fuel injector problems with that engine, did you find this information as well and is there anything you can do to minimise the risk, apart from looking for full service history?
Yeah that’s what I meant lol 😂 most of the time it is okay but it is a strange way to do things. It’s a lovely drive and quiet and comfy and so cheap to run. So the positives out way the negatives.
So am I nuts gang?
In a word… yes! An aging French car wouldn’t be my first choice!!
@@xinam Yeah I thought as much lol
Thinking of getting one myself thanks for the review
@stuartrouse1276 just know that its cheap to run good on fuel but a pain to drive at times, that semi auto thing can drive you a little crazy 😜
@@stevemarruk oh no I only do manual gearboxes so not an issue :)
I just bought mine today, manual gearbox. It's not a very good-looking car but it would do the job, I don't want to invest a lot in a car.
Actually I don’t mind the look of mind if I am honest.

Thanks for this review. I saw one today at the dealership, and I'm actually considering getting it.
They are comfy easy to maintain.

Hi Emma yes of course I can
@@stevemarruk Thank you so much.
Dude can you make a video on Peugeot convertible coupe 2009 model in 2023 better to buy or no and what are the major issues you will face.
I'm looking to buy this so thank you!
You are more than welcome

Just made sure all checks were done and a full service was done. And had a warranty for 6 months
@@stevemarruk thank you
Sorry but is not Ulez
Great budget car
Do you still have this car and how are you getting on with the gearbox ?
Yea I do and so far it’s been great. The gear box is okay I just don’t like that it’s a manual automatic thing that sucks.
@@stevemarruk how are you getting round the issues you mentioned like at the roundabouts? I think you mean its a semi automatic gearbox.

Why
Who’s the guy in the thumbnail??
Thats me I was dressing up to go out..
Can you fit 3 child seats in this car?
Never tried
Not impressed with this video.Needed to see it driven
I will do a review on this next week
