      I definitely don't miss the Luna, but when I drove for Stevens. I hated it when I had to come back to the yard even if it was just to get my truck worked on, take a 10 hour break, or a 34 hour reset. It was a pain the butt just to get every thing on your yard clearance sheet done just to leave.

      I didn't think it was too hard, it is just memorizing the wording for each category of item. Hoses, (no cuts, bulges or leaks) rubber, (not damaged, cracked or, dry rotted) lights, (properly mounted and secure, no missing parts, not cracked or damaged, and amber/white/clear/red in color).
      Probably half pass the first time through, but you get a second and third try. (Unless they feel you aren't trying at all). Most pass by the second time.

      They are not really pass/fail tests. They are just general driving test to see if you have the general idea of what you are doing. It's not like a specific things you must do, more of an observing of your driving manuvers to make sure you appear comfortable.

      @fpstrucking  Год назад +1

      @@troydrury12 Yes, you can definitely do those miles regularly. Not every driver does, I average between 2500 and 2800. Things like running really tight schedule for three days, so you can drop the load 12 hrs early, help get those extra miles, but many drivers (like myself) find it more enjoyable to free up that three day schedule a bit, and not have to worry about counting every second of the clock. But definitely easily doable, just more stress, since any lost minutes are more precious.

      No, but it is not hard to get the permit solo either, IMO. I scheduled my own appointment with the DPS, and had my permit before going to class, one reason for doing that is so that if I failed a test for the permit, I would still be able to take it a second time in the school and not be held back, as it would now be my second try.
