You're not alone m8, but it'll be over before we know it, August. I always say to my dsp owner, "I'm happy to be here, even though it don't look like it, that's why the smile's on the box".
I worked as a driver for a month before quitting. The number of deliveries they expected me to make in a day were unbelievable and I just couldnt maintain their grueling standards without feeling broken 24/7. I refuse to live a life like that. Props to you for hanging in there
Jobs like that you've only gotta make yourself more productive and a little more pleasant to be around than the person next to you. Even if you're nowhere near what's "expected", if they won't let go of the other guy, you won't be going anywhere.
Corporates don’t care about individual narratives. If you don’t want to do it, someone else is hungry enough to do it. The more competition among the workers, the better it is for corporates.

@@mustangnawt1 That’s going to be crazy expensive. This will only ever be a good idea if you only buy one or two things a month. Shipping is $6-7 an item unless you rack up a total of $35 or more and by not having Prime, you also miss product discounts as well. I would only do what you’re suggesting if I feel like burning through money.
I feel for you guys. I work for a UPS Store and mostly what we do now is Amazon returns. We broke our record for returns after Prime Day not to mention our returns are growing fast in general. I've been there for 16 years and it's pushing me hard to throw in the towel and move on. Two other co-workers said they would quit if I left because they're getting worn down. The good thing with going through this return insanity over the years is that I cancelled my Amazon account(use to spend thousands a year) and it made me rethink what I really needed and how I could get it locally or buy it straight from the manufacturer if I couldn't find it here. I told Corporate back in 2022 that all the stores will turn into return stores and they laughed at me. Now it's 2024 and we barely print or actually ship anything and corporate is bending over for this return dystopia that society is feeding.
you worked for, and don't own the franchise? you worked 16 years at a dead end retail job. that should have been a problem on your 3rd or 4th year. the store associate/certified operator position is not a career.
Yeah, you're right. A lot of people in the comment section express their gratitude towards the delivery drivers which in general is great but kinda missing the entire point. People who care and have the ability to should try to do the mild inconveniences you mentioned like ordering directly from the manufacturer or your local stores (e.g. groceries, books etc.) to the best of our ability and generally scale back the heavy cosumer mindset Amazon and other corporations condition you to do with their sales like Prime Day, Black Friday and general marketing. You thankfully really don't need much in our day and age to live very comfortably. Only people who don't want you to think like that are the big corporations and how they design their business strategy and even products (think of Apple and other electric manufacturers with their planned obsolescence) but thankfully there are a lot of alternatives still around.
I worked as a driver for a week, then quit. The amount of packages they give a newbie is insane. I was on the road with a trainer 1 day, 1 shift. 2nd day and forward, on my own. Did I get all my stuff delivered, of course not. Did I catch hell for it? Of course I did. Constantly being told to go quicker. I went as fast as I could, as safe as I could. Still was getting reprimanded. My last day, halfway through, I called dispatch and told them I quit. I had enough. I got rescued, drove the van back, and left. Best I felt in a week. I never took a break cause I knew I was behind, yet by law we should be taking breaks. I must have sweat off at least 20-25 lbs of water, and when I was done working I had no energy to drive home more less eat. All I did was drink water for a week. Being honest. I get there are many packages, and I'm one that does like a fast paced job, but this was ridiculous. How they treat a newbie to the job sucks. The demands are way more then a newbie can handle. And they wonder why their turnover rate as astronomical.
Amazon contracts third party companies. That one really seems to suck. For my company, they gave my trainer a lighter load so he can better teach me and on the second day I was on my own but they gave me reduced stops which increased to pace me in over a month. Tho a coworker told me that another company (which is literally one desk away from my company) doesn’t do all that, much like the one you worked for. It’s pretty bs, no way would anyone fair well being thrown straight in without any proper preparation.
@@lcfflc3887 They only care about targets being met. If the DSP's fail to deliver then they can have routes taken from them by Amazon. So they will just tell you to go faster ,deliver more.
That's what I wanted to do but it's hard to get here in the DMV unless you apply in the ghetto. School bus drivers, do they give you GPS or do you have to remember the stops?
I miss my delivery job sometimes. It was fun and i enjoyed seeing the customers faces light up or smile when i arrived with there package. It felt good seeing someone's day be made. I worked for a sub contracting delivery company and let me tell you the management was horrible. They did not care if you were out super late. They would only send help to the people they liked or were cool with. I couldn't take it anymore so i quit. I hate how most drivers decide to skip breaks because of the amount of work they have. I always took my break no matter how heavy my route was. Don't kill yourself working for companies like these, they do not care about you. They will replace you in a heartbeat. Always do your job well though, don't be lazy but also don't work too hard. I'm excited for what's next for this channel.
I made it as an Amazon driver in the SF Bay Area for only about 8 months before I had to quit. I gave it my all, and honestly had incredible coworkers and supervisors, but the turnover rate was insane, and switching our routes and service areas completely took me out of it. Still, I got to be Santa to so many people that Christmas, and I'm glad I tried. You guys are the best. To any current Amazon drivers out there, y'all have some serious heart.
I remember a couple years back-I had a my pickup’s windshield replaced by Safelite, my dude was literally outside in 25 degree weather replacing my shit while I sat up in my warm condo working in my home office…when he was done I had a $25 dollar Tim Hortons gift card waiting for him, I shook his hand, said Merry Christmas and told em to go get lunch: we’re only human
@@ALCRAN2010Are you serious? He didn't have to give anything extra, do you know how many hard working people there are out there in bad conditions? @@alastor8091 I get the whole cash is king idea but-Tim Hortons is everywhere, there was one right at the end of my street…pull your f-king service van in the drive-thru and go get a meal!
I'm glad I quit, it was 2 years of hell and a $10,000 lawsuit at least... I legitimately get stressed seeing Amazon vans and packages. Either become an engineer or go to trade school don't waste your time working for these corporations.
A dog almost got me but luckily it had the cone around its neck. I just left the packages on the ground and walked away and said f' it and just sign without taking the pictures. Got 3 closed call. One time the notes said the dog is inside so I open the cate as soon as i put package down and about to take pictures the dog came out and I booked it.
Pro tips for people who want to drive for Amazon: -Do not obey stop signs -Do not obey speed limits -Do not follow delivery instructions (scan it, drop it, and GO!GO!GO!) -Disable GPS it takes too long to calibrate -Do not take breaks -Need to pee? You will not recive travel time allotment to find restrooms. Grab that water bottle you got from the distribution center, go in the cargo hold and press that skjt up to your junk and let it rip. No exceptions for girls. -Remember it will be ~10° hotter in the cargo area than ambient temperature so if you live in an area with 90-100° weather......good luck not getting heat stroke. -plan your own routes, bc the meth addict Ai route planner will screw you with frequent tight U-turns, and doubling back on places you already went to. -Leave your van doors open even if you must jam them, they take too long to open and close hundreds of times -Spoof the seat belt safety device so you needn't waste time taking it on and off every stop. -Realize that by following these tips your delivery speed will be...just barely satisfactory...and the algorithm will push you harder the very next day.
If you get 1 violation at my Amazon you getting cut for 4 days let alone run a stop sighn u might be fired we have netrodyne cameras and it's no cheating that system unless cam is off
That's honestly how it feels. Supervisor: You need to get your customer feedback up by following delivery instructions Me: So delivery someone's packages while they have a dog in the backyard... is more important than my safety. Supervisor: That's what the app is for Me: I didn't know the app could fight off a dog Supervisor: *dumb face*
Even tho yall knew what yall got yourselves into working at Amazon knowing they don’t have a Union….we still appreciate yall for all the hard work yall put in. I hope everyone working at Amazon uses it as a way to stack up a bit of money to be able to move on to better things because I really don’t see their business model changing anytime soon.
Incredibly well shot and edited. This is clearly your calling, even if this isn't your preferred subject matter! Glad to see you back at it and looking forward to whatever's to come!
Reminds me of my UPS days as a package car driver, peak season over the holidays was a nightmare, one of the older guys told me "dont make this a career" I listened, switched over to IT and now im making more with doing less. My body thanking me too.
Great video brother. I never realized what you guys are tasked with day in day out. High stress job. I was a cop for 30 years mostly working the road. Call to call, always eating on the go, grouchy people, no time to write your reports and always staying late. Hope your next gig works out for you.
I used to wear navy blue buttoned shirt and trousers.....after seeing other delivery guys and construction workers wear those neon safety shirts, I gave it a try after telling my boss of my new wardrobe change.......it was great wearing this UNTIL about a week later, the big boss called a meeting to tell us guys that the shop is closing down :((((
I love how they gas light you with, "Hey everyone. It's gonna be a heavy day but that's ok because we expected it" No, it's not ok. Figure out a system to deal with the volume THEY Choose to get by design of offering Prime Day. I don't work for them but in this industry, they're all the same. "Hey, it's Christmas. It's all good. We know to expect it'll be heavy. Therefore...there's no problems. Cause we know about it. Now, YOU go do it."
That's not gas lighting, and is actually correct. I work for a shopping TV channel, and we have the same. Our Christmas launch is always extra busy, and we know it. We have more work to do over that week than normal. We know it's coming, it's not a surprise.
@@alloneword7427 yeah but it doesn't make it any easier at least in this case with Amazon. It's just down playing the situation imo. But there is one thing that they'll do when they have high volumes. That is, they'll drop it off at the USPS and UPS lol.
@@Novaximus No you are right in that it doesn't make it easier. Higher work load with the same amount of staff will always be harder for those working there. That is essentially what it's about, trying to make it look like it's fine and it's doable. The fact that 'we' know these times are coming is true, does it make it easier, no, not at all.
In the old days, kids had newspaper delivery routes. Would be cool if these van drivers could drop at a neighborhood location, and teenagers on bikes do the last 100 yards.
This is the reason why when I order stuff on Amazon, I always put prefer everything bundle up together to make it easier so the driver don't have to make multiple trips to my house everyday.
But a familiar house on a familiar route is better than some odd new place all the time, especially in an apartment. The amount of trips to a particular house in a week doesn't really matter. What matters are careless pet owners with dangerous pets and warning signs all over who think it's a joke and people without house numbers up.
And bezos pockets the money saved on not paying drivers, they don’t benefit at all most likely. Amazon would have any benefit whatsoever for workers engineered out of existence
You’re so optimistic amidst through all of this stress, keep it up my guy. The universe will give you what you need eventually you’re doing a great job
Respect man. Sometimes I do deliveries where I work and it can take a few hours just to drive the route around the city for ~20 deliveries. Construction, road closures, one-way streets, and nearly zero parking doesn't help. I basically park illegally for probably 75% of them.
Absolutely, I Illegally park for most deleveries, cause I don't have a choice. And it ain't no lie about the hours on 20 deliveries. I know some routes where it takes 2 hours to get through 10 deliveries. And they expect you to do 250 by the end of the day. On my route, I do about 60 in 2 hours, and that's chilling taking it easy, taking a few minutes here and there. But then I'll get sent on the buisness route, and ain't shit getting done. Cause I can't make a left turn. Why Amazon insists of left turns is beyond me.
Strait up abuse, and these last 10 days have been horrible. 171 stops/331 locations/516 packages and nearly 100 grouped stops that one guy received, is insanity. The fact that Amazon thinks this is ok, let alone doable, is absolutely hilarious. I’ve been bringing back full totes and overflow most days during the last week or so. The loads are impossible for most, yet they think the majority of people can get them done, with all breaks taken, and 100% safety metrics. And they wonder why the turnover rate is sky high 😂🤣
I will always take my breaks . Especially the heat breaks . I have a goal set for the day . Work 4 hrs of my shift , then pace myself the rest of the day . Like if I have 100 stops , I'm doing 55 . And finding a restroom ! Man ! The struggle is real .... Don't yall be holding it 😂
Y'ALL SHOULD BE MAKING A LEAST A 100.000 A YEAR THEY ARE TRIPPING GIVING Y'ALL THAT MUCH WORK ALL Y'ALL SHOULD QUIT IF THEY DON'T PAY Y'ALL A HIGH SALARY AMAZON IS TRIPPING Y'ALL WORKERS ARE TO GOOD FOR THEM.
I feel you man the burn out is real. That’s how i felt for FedEx ground but I’m glad I pulled through and finished with CDL school back in May and finally left FedEx and started a new trucking job. Keep pushing and start looking for better opportunities
True. I have been working in Amz FC for 6 months now, and the managers dont even know my name. They treat people like disposable tools. They only act nice to you when they need more VET. The only reason i am still there is because Im currently looking for new jobs and work as flex hours only.
First vid I’ve seen of you and man you seem so nice! I love how you said you stop to appreciate the little things in life, even on the job. I hope you can find a job that works better for your life.
Bro you should put your over flow in order when loading your van, It makes it so much easier to grab the boxes, From the phone grab the first over flow by the order sticker and go down the list when loading your van, This trick has saved me so much time delivering the packages rather then digging through the van for 1 package
Very true. I never allow a member on the floor to help load my van. They only worry about getting you out the station. I have to worry about finding my packages quickly while on route.
Unfortunately you get 20 minutes to load everything in the van, sometimes your packages aren’t ready, and by the time you hit the road you don’t really have time to resort everything as it would require removing a good deal of them. It’s actually faster to just dig through it. I put my first few overflow boxes in the front which helps make room
If i get a van I try to keep it in order for overflow. But I have a box truck, so I just go by aid number groupings. 500s here 600's there... In those vans it's impossible. Shits so big you just have to find a way to fit it in there.
Thinking about quitting soon too. Hardest part of this job is realizing it's not a career and you have to still think about what career you want. At least at USPS or UPS you can retire off it. This jobs just too much work for not enough pay
Usps is bad and its getting worse now imagine carrying 6 long cases of mail along with prime weeks packages sounds good still? And you have to wait for a very long time to become a career employee meaning for the first few years your a substitute
I started off as a carrier for USPS. Did that for 7 years and transferred into the maintenance department and never looked back. I make $42/hr being a maintenance supervisor at a mail sorting facility. Easiest and most chill job ever. It’s crazy how much better it is than carrying mail.
I quit I few weeks. Now I'm rescue every day . Easy, but still, I find it boring, so more than this I cannot do, there is no other role exept dispacer. Every day in many different places, saving people with different problems but is always the same . I just find a waste of my time, and I don't like that amazon depends so much on people sacrificing for garbage objects
@@robertobonani4631i’ve thought this so much lately. Like you guys have me doing all this work to deliver a t shirt to someone? I wish people would grow a backbone and just quit their dsp’s at the same time. Amazon would be F’D!
Hi Chris, thank you for All your effort delivering everyone’s Amazon packages , you deserve better than that, wishing you all the best in the near future 🙏🏻
Pro tip from a fellow drive, ,use a sharpie to mark your overflow with the driver aid number. It makes it sooo much easier. I would quit on the spot if I got 26 bags and 50 overflow lol
I did that in the beginning, then I got a Box truck instead of that tiny van. I just organize them by the aid numbers and figure it out when I get to the stop. All 500s here, 600s here... takes most of the looking for it away without wasting time to mark them. The only real issue with it, is when everything is so fucking big you can't organize shit, and then you look through all of them and don't find it... turns out they put the wrong aid number on it, so you have to look at all the addresses. The other thing i started doing if i get a van, is just throwing all the small shit on the passenger floor, cause it's easier to just look through that pile than it is to organize all of it, "in stop order"
I definitely feel you bro. I’m on year 2 and it’s only gotten worse on the package/ stop count. I get 180+ stops everyday and the weather here in Kansas is no joke. The summer is what kills me like 30 days out of the summer at 100+. Unfortunately have to thug it out as it will be harder to find something that pays the same or more. I need to go to trade school lol. Good luck on whatever you do next!
Because nobody gives AF 😂 Firing him will only take him out of his misery and means one less slave they can overwork. They have a very high employee turnover.
I’m a dispatcher at a DSP in Florida, if you had that much on our watch, we would have you split your stuff up with extra staffers we employ just to help get routes finished. We operate a little differently, and our retention rate is above 80% because our people love us!
See that was my thought, they really need to set hard cap on the number of packages. Because clearly they are going with the motto "If the packages are getting delivered I don't care how"
My DSP used to do that, until they found out that some people are capable of doing so. To the few people that are capable, they ever receive any rescue, but those that aren’t, will always do. This is why there should be a pay raise differential, sadly there isn’t.
Yesterday I got 370 packages with 33 stops. 28 bags, 14 overflows. Seeing your van today reminds me when they gave me 555 packages. 35 bags and I believe 40 overflows but only 13 stops. Took me the whole dam day to finish. I don't see myself staying long either. Gotta spend them PTO ASAP!
Hey Chris, I want you to know, I have never once even considered working at Amazon and I don't think I ever will, but when you upload or share apart of your daily experiences I always will watch. It's a bitter sweet feeling to know these amazing videos will be coming to an end soon, but I really appreciate the time and effort you put into doing this. I know it's not easy running a channel while working full time. Thank you a million man.
Yeah man never work for a big corporation they will suck the living soul out of you! I been working for a bit corporation in Canada for about 4 years and it’s not the same since I first join, when I joined it was before Covid so they used to gift us 30$ Tim Hortons card, give us 2k check to spend on stores the company owns, give us free merch, would let us get 3 extra pay vacation for 50$ and give us free carry on bags for groceries and was a decent place now it’s 2024 my last year I’m gunna work there and they don’t give us all the things I mention and now there’s hardly any work going around to the point we barely even work like last week I only worked 30 hrs and week before that was 37 hrs and this week was 33 hrs cuz they been giving us a lot of cut shift due to things breaking down due to being too old, no one is buying product from the stores and not enough work to go around for everyone so I ain’t getting full paid check every time always loosing 250$ each paycheck cuz of cut shift stupid! Now next year I am thinking of doing trade school we will see
They better not be shocked when drivers can’t finish their routes by the end of the day! Also, all these packages yet you still have to follow the rules because the netradyne camera is wild, Amazon is too much!
I run a DSP for Amazon and anytime a driver doesn’t finish the route or brings back more than 2 packages I get a email wanting to me explain why the route wasn’t completed and then proceed to tell me it’s unacceptable
Yeah ever since they added those cameras in fall 2021, some of us can’t get our stuff done cause Amazon is one of those companies that breaks the “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it” one too many times and it’s so annoying
I never really saw a change in that week, little increase in the week after, like over flow....😅 I feel you 100% on the Amazon life Chris. We where just taking about you the other day... Miss you over at DJZ2. Enjoy every sun set!
0:42 "Remember! Safety first! But still make sure you deliver an unrealistic amount of packages as fast as humanly possible!" - Actual subhuman spouting fake words of encouragement to underpaid workers, 2024
Prime Week is what ultimately broke me last year. The first day of the following week was particularly annoying (and still at Prime volume) and I was just like "yeah this ain't it anymore".
I joined and quit amazon in the last 6 months. It's strait up abuse. They would do everything in their power to suggest not to take your breaks and consistently talk down to you when your route is incomplete. Respect for sticking it out. Someone needs to sue them!
You have a choice of quitting and finding another job. If noone works for them, conditions will change. I'm certain some kid in Bangladesh sew their tshirt for a penny a day. These Amazon jobs here aren't meant for guys like this who can speak sound English, young and full of potential. These jobs are meant for new migrants like those Indians that Trudeau invited in Canada.
Unless you work directly for Amazon, and not mom and pop express llc. Then you will not succeed because your working for a third party contractrd to Amazon, it's the subcontractor that is the issue, they get a lumpsum from Amazon but also have deadlines and a quota to meet. So when they say shit rolls down hill thats what they mean.
As a FedEx driver of 6 years I'm so glad to be currently working on a career change too something complete opposite what I do now. It has it's fun and enjoyable days but in our huge box trucks they're just ovens. We've been getting 100+ days for 2 weeks now no AC and half my huge truck is 120-150lb boxes. I'm trying too save my body and I know it'll be thanking me for it lol
Dude yeah, I drive a refrigerated truck w no AC because all power is on keep the cargo cold, and it makes it so tough during these kinda heats. My knees and back kill, and carrying the heavy loads sometimes up multiple sets of stairs is a rough when you're already pouring sweat.

@@jailbreakmaster194 Yeah, and the loading at the start of the shift is rough too. Most taxing part of the day for me as its a lotta twisting motions with some real hefty loads. I don't mind the work I'm doing too much but I reckon I'll start being more strict about our official policy in the future; which is that our company actually only have to deliver to ground floor entrance when it comes to flats/apartments. People often expect us to carry them up to their floor, even if there's no elevator, and if you ask them to give you a hand sometimes they refuse lol. So if I get that kinda person in the future I'll just say i have to cancel the order. I signed up for dsp driver and quit after the first day because of how many packages we had to deliver. Then i did flex for 2 years and was so burnt out by roughly 30 stops per route. I don't know how you guys can do so many stops everyday and not go insane.
I only lasted a month working as an Amazon driver the sheer volume of work they drop on you is insane, I’m lucky I didn’t stick around for the prime day though I’d probably drive the van into the river by the end of it
@@mikem2055 The worst kind of customer... Drivers would rather deliver 20 large boxes to three addresses than 20 small envelopes to 20 seperate addresses. It is soul-destroying going to the same address 4 or 5 times a week with small packets, when the customer could choose to have all parcels arrive on one day, only making one trip.
It shouldn’t, but honestly all amazon drivers should quit. They just want suckers they can underpay and overwork. It COULD be a reasonable job, but it just isn’t.
Dude that is crazy!! I am an Amazon driver in the UK & we love prime week . We start earlier, get paid more and our routes are around 10 Bags, 20 Overflow with around 140 Stops/200 Locations. Prime week & Christmas are the best for us.
I worked for a DSP from September of last year through Januaray. Prime Day, Black Friday and Peak. I stuck it out for the overtime but can comfortably say this it was far and away the worst job I've ever had and I'm happy that I had a fall back that allowed me to quit the second I got scheduled a 30 hour week. From ant infested vans to vans with shit smeared on the walls to even finding a used tampon. Then they started making us follow engine off compliance and it was a complete gamble weather or not that van would turn back on because they just refused to change the batteries in them. I knew Amazon was dog shit from the years I worked in the warehouse but I thought it'd be different considering it was a DSP. But no, Amazon still has a stranglehold on every aspect of the job to where you're just an Amazon employee that they don't have to take responsibility for it something happens to you. Dog shit company, dog shit job. Get as far away as you can.
I support my Drivers by not shopping on Prime Day. I always seem to miss it, anyways. Drive safe and thank ypu for your service. It's very much appreciated. ❤
The better you do the more packages you get. I was told early on to always finish, but finish late. Great advice! I never had more than 300 packages even after a year!
I’m about to quit too. I’ll give them an opportunity to give me a healthy raise first, since they constantly talk about how I’m at a good pace. And they give me BS routes and 170 stops on average. I would not miss this job and will never recommend it to anyone. When I do quit, I will encourage others to do so.
I drove during the years of 2019-2022, early 2022. Before everybody had the new Amazon electric vans. We all were stuck driving Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans, small white Chevy vans, Nissan suvs, & the dreaded Ford vans. All too small for the "expected" cargo. I was happy that they now have bigger delivery trucks. But that was Amazon's go ahead to give the drivers even more packages! During my era, we might have 300 boxes in total. 13 to 15 bags, at best, sometimes 17. But 27 boxes, your friend had, is ridiculous! I can only imagine being a delivery driver was pretty sweet, before smartphones. People order everyday just to order.
I'm from Houston TX.My biggest was 452 packages total. Because of Hurricane Beryl and prime together it's insane. My heaviest day was 29 totes an 42 overflow. 452 packages. First stop drop at 10:45 finished at 6:34. Then did a rescue an rts'ed at 8:32.

Did this for a month before quitting. Im a pilot now. As crap as a job as this was, you Amazon drivers have my utmost respect putting up with this job.
The addresses next to each other to be different stops is that so you don't have the truck stuck in one point for too long, avoiding eventual tickets and from blocking traffic for too long.
Dude I could've told you this years ago. I quit Amazon back in either 2020/21 (its been so long that I can't remember anymore). However I used to work in my local warehouse and it got so bad that the higher ups said that if you don't get the vaccine, then you're required to keep the mask on (I'm sure that policy was rescinded at some point then because almost no one wears masks anymore). Anyways Amazon just goes for straight profit and has NEVER once cared for any of their employees. However it took me years to realize this and the recent employee strike is just another evidence of it.
No surprise to me that amazon was fully complicit with tyrannical covid measures. Horrible company, I’m honestly disappointed in myself that I even took this job. I’m leaving VERY soon
Customers usually pay Prime membership and people who don't have prime pay for shipping, Amazon themselves don't really care about the drivers they want the packages get delivered on time.
Likewise drivers don't give a toss about cuntomers or their relationship with Amazon. They want to get all parcels delivered and get home safely without the daily threats of losing their job.
i feel your pain 100% i use to be a packer and pay was UP and Down.. all time, had to get a serten number of packages done in 1 day and standing for the whole shift aghhhhhhhhhh
I work with a contractor for FedEx and we have designated routes if youre good enough to have them. In my honest opinion, the worst culprit of these really heavy days is NOT the corporations, rather the customers. I deliver A LOT of Walmart, Target, Home Depot, etc. when there is literally a store within 10 minutes of their house. People have become so consumed with pressing order on their app that they dont understand how those packages are getting there. This summer has been one of the most brutal times ever, even during Christmas peak from last year. The amount of furniture and all around goods is staggering. Last year summer averaged around 135-145 stops (200pkgs). I have not had a day below 165 (250 pkgs) in the past month, it is exhausting. If this reaches anybody, please take that extra minute to ask yourself, " do I NEED to order this, or can I go to a nearby store to pick it up?" It will save everyone in the long term. Also if you order heavy furniture, please be ok with it being at the edge of your driveway, we did not order it and we are not going to risk a hernia just so you dont have to carry it. Thank you Chris for showing not what just an Amazon driver goes through, but a pkg delivery driver in general.
Since it’s less likely that customers will start ordering less, the real solution is for these jobs to compensate workers fairly. They should be paying double
I honestly think that most people don't appreciate how easy it is to get their products nowadays with online retailers like Amazon. Its because of the people like the drivers that deserve more appreciation for the hard work they put in.
I know at 61 with mobility issues, I do appreciate being able to do online orders & save my pains for grocery shopping & quick, small stores. Especially ordering heavier items, delivery is much appreciated.

If amazon partner you with another man that would be a humane thing to do
It's utter trash
Jobs like that you've only gotta make yourself more productive and a little more pleasant to be around than the person next to you. Even if you're nowhere near what's "expected", if they won't let go of the other guy, you won't be going anywhere.
Corporates don’t care about individual narratives. If you don’t want to do it, someone else is hungry enough to do it. The more competition among the workers, the better it is for corporates.
How much were they paying you?
“Safety first safety first” really means “don’t get hurt and make us pay workers comp”
Both mind and body cringe when I hear the word “safety” uttered by them (or any company)

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Good thing I'll never be a delivery boy in this lifetime!! Lol
Bro has ultimate respect cuz bro was able to do all these orders
you worked for, and don't own the franchise? you worked 16 years at a dead end retail job. that should have been a problem on your 3rd or 4th year. the store associate/certified operator position is not a career.
Trust me man, you'll never, ever see me working like that in my life time.
Did you at least make a managerial position? What do you do at the UPS Store for 16 years?

Pro tips for people who want to drive for Amazon:
-Do not obey stop signs
-Do not obey speed limits
-Do not follow delivery instructions (scan it, drop it, and GO!GO!GO!)
-Disable GPS it takes too long to calibrate
-Do not take breaks
-Need to pee? You will not recive travel time allotment to find restrooms. Grab that water bottle you got from the distribution center, go in the cargo hold and press that skjt up to your junk and let it rip. No exceptions for girls.
-Remember it will be ~10° hotter in the cargo area than ambient temperature so if you live in an area with 90-100° weather......good luck not getting heat stroke.
-plan your own routes, bc the meth addict Ai route planner will screw you with frequent tight U-turns, and doubling back on places you already went to.
-Leave your van doors open even if you must jam them, they take too long to open and close hundreds of times
-Spoof the seat belt safety device so you needn't waste time taking it on and off every stop.
-Realize that by following these tips your delivery speed will be...just barely satisfactory...and the algorithm will push you harder the very next day.

Just quit lmao don’t be a peasant
So exciting to have you back posting and really glad to see you healthy and finding positivity in everything.
Your outgoing attitude is awesome. Take it to another job where it will be used. Thanks for being such an awesome person!
You’re doing an honorable job! I commend you and all other Amazon drivers. It truly is a hard job and thank you all for your service!
I'm surprised you haven't gotten in trouble for this channel bro. Keep it up and stay strong 💪🏽.
Because nobody gives AF 😂 Firing him will only take him out of his misery and means one less slave they can overwork. They have a very high employee turnover.
all corporations, we are going 3rd world DEI lfg
Everyone knows it's slave labor. And you dont kill slaves for being unhappy. You don't care.
That’s what I was thinking as well
Yeah, recording himself with a selfie stick while driving on the street in a company vehicle. Surprised he still has the job.
Because clearly they are going with the motto "If the packages are getting delivered I don't care how"
Most DSP dont care they want to make as much $ as they can
My DSP used to do that, until they found out that some people are capable of doing so. To the few people that are capable, they ever receive any rescue, but those that aren’t, will always do. This is why there should be a pay raise differential, sadly there isn’t.
@@high4lfye243 the difference is that people who receive rescues more often don’t get scheduled as much, that’s how it balances out
Dont believe a word coming out of an owner or their ass sucking dispatchers mouth. Special place in hell for all Amazon and shady DSP management.
Thanks for showing what it’s like from your angle. I was really anxious and stressed over a package coming on time. This helped me chill out a lot!
Now next year I am thinking of doing trade school we will see
Appreciate the comment. I will always be around to upload whichever/wherever direction this channel goes. You guys are a part of my life 💯
They better not be shocked when drivers can’t finish their routes by the end of the day!
Running a DSP is unnaceptable. Shame on Amazon. 😂😂😂@@raquanwebb8472

Yeah ever since they added those cameras in fall 2021, some of us can’t get our stuff done cause Amazon is one of those companies that breaks the “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it” one too many times and it’s so annoying

Thank you for recording this. I always make sure to rate my Amazon driver well. I now have a deeper appreciation for their hard work.
Prime Week is what ultimately broke me last year. The first day of the following week was particularly annoying (and still at Prime volume) and I was just like "yeah this ain't it anymore".
peak and prime week are the worst time to start.
I missed prime by a week..thankfully..you right..the delivery sequence is crazy..on cul-de-sac..2-4 times and was going in circles
I joined and quit amazon in the last 6 months. It's strait up abuse. They would do everything in their power to suggest not to take your breaks and consistently talk down to you when your route is incomplete. Respect for sticking it out. Someone needs to sue them!
We all need to sue them, big class action lawsuit, labor violations
You have a choice of quitting and finding another job. If noone works for them, conditions will change. I'm certain some kid in Bangladesh sew their tshirt for a penny a day. These Amazon jobs here aren't meant for guys like this who can speak sound English, young and full of potential. These jobs are meant for new migrants like those Indians that Trudeau invited in Canada.
They process a ton of orders an hour. It's no mystery what to expect before working there
>doesnt realize the irony in his statement @@keithsim2914
Unless you work directly for Amazon, and not mom and pop express llc. Then you will not succeed because your working for a third party contractrd to Amazon, it's the subcontractor that is the issue, they get a lumpsum from Amazon but also have deadlines and a quota to meet. So when they say shit rolls down hill thats what they mean.
Now imagine delivering in germany... Can't put boxes in front of the door and leave them but ring each door and wait for the people to answer ;D
same here in The Netherlands. yes they ring the bell, but if you don't open your front door in 10 seconds they are in their car lol
stop lying bro amazon always delivers its not PostNL or Colis Prive, plus they leave it at pick up point closeby when u not home

@@Spamhard Yup exactly. it's also constantly in and out in and out all day Lifting all kinds of weight, mattresses, Bed frames couches you name it we deliver it. It's insane at times. Save your body!
I'm more lenient when it's old folk or people with clear physical disabilites, but when its just someone who doesn't wanna do it for themseklves its like brother Im not paid enough to ruin my body for you to get your 20 crates of cola today.
I signed up for dsp driver and quit after the first day because of how many packages we had to deliver. Then i did flex for 2 years and was so burnt out by roughly 30 stops per route. I don't know how you guys can do so many stops everyday and not go insane.
4:00 why wouldn't you put the packages chronogically according to the route? So the 1st one is on the edge
I only lasted a month working as an Amazon driver the sheer volume of work they drop on you is insane, I’m lucky I didn’t stick around for the prime day though I’d probably drive the van into the river by the end of it
Seeing these videos makes me feel bad for buying off from Amazon.
Ikr! But i do order small.

Yay!!! My fellow Lao dude is back!

I'm sorry you're being taken advantage of by your employer but that's not going to stop my online orders
@@pinkfreud62yeah well very few people actually show appreciation for drivers. Certainly not the employers
