    Who cares about the North Korean Government? This anthem is melodious and it's pleasant to hear everyday. The best tune for me is the violins at 1:15-1:18.
    On the US Anthem side, the glorious part to hear the melody is in 2:37 until the end.

      No, it's actually one of the versions of the anthem. In fact, I think that the North Korean television orchestra ( I mean they have their own orchestra band) can play that version. And KCTV version was recorded before 2010. So in conclusion, the NY Philharmonic Orchestra's version is not a version of KCTV startup, like you think.
      PS: I'm not a North Korean guy, but I found it by radio first.

      @@Baconnoodles It's not like that... The N.Koreans really believe their political economic system extends democracy to the n.korean working class/masses. As for their respect for the U.S. anthem, I'm sure they are educated enough to realize that the American Revolution was a breakaway from European Monarchy and a revolutionary new form of government. They just ask themselves if "Democracy" is really expanded to the working class/masses in America. They respect America's sense of Independence but question their sens of not allowing other nations that right.

      The North Koreans offered the philharmonic VIP treatement and bent to most of their requests- including live international coverage- something rare in the DPRK even for domestic audiences. The North was hoping that the concert could be used to set up meetings with the US which would improve relations, it was even hoped a high official like the Secretary of State would attend to meet with Kim Jong Il. However, the Bush administration was not interested and avoided anything that even vaguely cpuld be associated in Clinton's more cooperative approach and his "Agreed Framework".

    • @koryoball

      How ironic. The media says North Korea is impoverished, has no electricity, outdated technology, and a very corrupt government. And at the same time they tell us that North Korea can fake a whole city, hire millions of fake actors, and run surveillance on every visitor in the country. Make up your goddamn mind.

    • @Spaghetter813
      @Spaghetter813 4 года назад

      @@koryoball 1) Not a lot of people get to visit North Korea and they all get in person escorts surveilling them. This really isn't too great of an expense. 2) They don't "fake" whole cities. Pyongyang is the only city which is somewhat decent and the people living there are all selected by the government. However a lot of places are "faked" as the propaganda machine considers the investment into making a few places run smooth for propaganda purposes good enough to invest money into that. Building a few good places is relatively cheap even for a poor nation. 3) They don't pay actors, they tell people and they obey under threat of repression. Thereby, the DPRK conducts activities which are easily possible in an impoverished autocracy.
